Great love scenes in this book. Quite playful and intense. ...more

I can't believe I made it through the night last night without having finished the book. I said to myself I want to finish it tomorrow.. so I held out. I was on pins and needles with all that was going on in this book. Needless to say I am so happy with the way things turned out. I can't wait for the next book. So Jackie Brighton makes her decision and finally chooses between Noah and Zane. Besides that though she is in her usual position of being up to her neck in a whole heap of trouble. A great deal having to do with the halo that was unleashed in the first book. In this one she has to rescue her best friend Remy from the possession that has taking over and reeking havoc everywhere, deal with the Serim council where she also encounters Luc from the previous book as well as an angel who wants to impregnate her(lol that had some funny bits), rescue Noah who shows a different side of himself during his "itching" time, deal with the evil vampire queen, deal with vampire Caleb and his kiss ass ways of keeping Jackie and Zane apart physically all while saving the world from evil and doom. We also get the answer of why Jackie was initially chosen to become a succubus. Which now answers my question of what Zane meant when he said he was seeing her again. There are of course many great love scenes and it's usual funny scenes, banter, and quips. One that sticks out is when Jackie and Remy have to visit an ex boyfriend of Delilah's who is rather old, pervy, and likes motorboating and being called "Poppy" That part was funny. We also get an introduction to a new character named Ethan who is bred from the Serim and very straight laced and virginal. He basically takes on the role of bodyguard and unlikely friend to Jackie while she is dealing with her love life and ongoing peril. This book had me so excited, giggling, and even teary eyed by the end. I love when a story shows a characters' selflessness and that is shown by more than one character. Of course I am more than pleased with her decision in choosing between Noah or Zane. I am so thrilled right now that I can't wait to see what happens to them next. ...more

Here we find Jackie on the road with Remy getting into more trouble as she is attempting to remove a curse she has no idea how she got and from whom. The duo are on a road trip to New Orleans to meet another succubus who also happens to be a voodoo priestess to remove the curse. Lots of hot scenes ensue as Jackie's succubus needs are in overdrive because of the curse and of course throw in Noah, Zane and the mysterious Luc in the mix and you got sex, hijinks, jealously, betrayal, selflessness, sacrifice, and danger all rolled into one. A definite page or in my case because of my Kindle click turner! lol...more

I actually liked meeting more of the Angels in the Refuge. I thought little Sam was so cute when he met Elena for the first time. I also think that the way both central characters are with children, that we will be seeing them with a child before the series ends. ...more

First off I love the way the book is written. Jackie is funny and I found that dialogue was very refreshing and the pace of the book moved really fast. Ok so Jackie is a women who lives in an apartment by herself, a mousey glasses wearing museum docent, and has a bit of weight issues. That all changes one night after she wakes up with no recollection in a dumpster after what she thinks is one too many cocktails and the hottest sex she has ever had with an equally hot guy. After she meets her one night stand, Noah she begins to piece together what has happened and tries to remember who put her in the dumpster. It also turns out Noah wasn't some chance meeting either and is actually her fallen angel master. Together with a woman named Remy, Jackie discovers that she has been turned into a Succubus. Things begin to change and the mousey museum docent turns into a big breasted, flaming red haired, extremely high libido sexy seductress..though with her human tendencies and prudeness she tries to go against the grain of her new role which lands her in a heap of trouble with an Angel and a vampire queen. Speaking of the queen's vampires, one in particular who is equally as hot as Noah or even hotter named Zane gets under Jackie's skin in both a good and bad way. Zane is adorably funny, charming and uber sexy. As the story unfolds Jackie and her new friends are placed in the middle of a power struggle over a fallen angels halo that could change the world to whomever claims the power and somehow this rest all on Jackie's shoulders. Jackie's choices and acceptance of her new self come to a head and we get set up for what's to come between Jackie, Noah and Zane.
