She is a street smart, hard working BBQ cook by day, daddy taught assassin by night whose weapon of choice is knives, and to make things a little interesting, let's add some elemental magic to the mix. ============
She was just a child when the fire elemental Mab brought those thugs into her house. Why? Why was this woman doing this? She didn't even recognize her. Her family is so happy, her mom, dad and sisters. When Mab was done torturing and killing her mom and older sister it was Gin's turn, the fire-elemental put special metal in the shape of a spider into the child's palm. Then closed her hand over it. Forcing her hand closed while the metal burned and melted into her skin. The madder Gin got, the more the house started to shake, and believing she had killed her little sister when she brought the stone house down on her tormentors she ran and ran. But she didn't leave town. She took to the streets and before too long in the cold southern night a kind but tough man who owned a BBQ Diner took her in off the streets.
He went out back to throw out the garbage and saw a dirty scraggly little thing trying to make herself invisible between two cracks in a building. "Come here girl" the old man said to her. Gin tried to squeeze further in between the two buildings so she could get away from him. People were very mean when you were an orphan on the streets, she'd learned that lesson the hard way. Now she sticks to herself. But the old man wasn't having anything of it, he knew she'd been eating out of his dumpster for a few nights now. He was hoping she wouldn't run. He lowered his voice some, but still sounding firm said "Come here girl, I won't hurt you, I just want to give you some food." When she finally looked up at him, he saw that look in her eye. The look he knew his son would never have. The look that said 'cross me, and I will kill you'. On a whim he decided right there to take her in, decided right then and there she would be his apprentice. She would be the one he would pass his hard earned reputation and trade onto. He took her, fed her, and the lessons started. Raising her as his own daughter he taught her everything she needed to know and more to survive.
Mab runs the city, the county all the rackets and that still wasn't enough. Mab started to manipulate her way into society. She needed to expand, to network, she needed people who would do what she told them too, and she preferred if they wore a badge.
Gin wants nothing more than to bury her under six feet of stone. Her and that 50 carat red ruby pendant which enhances Mab's fiery elemental power. It's been so many years since that Mab first entered her life. So much has changed since then. She finally has someone in her life who accepts her just the way she is. All parts of her. Will she risk it? Would she be risking her relationship to go after someone in cold blooded murder? All she has thought about since that one night so many years ago was seeing Mab draw her last breath. But Gin has a score to settle, she's waited all this time, and if she doesn't take this chance she may never get another. Every hit up until now has been to prepare her for this one job. Will she loose the man she loves? Will Mab be bit by the spider? The spider of her own making? Is Gin strong enough to stop her? No. But The Spider, the famous assassin whose never missed a hit or got caught, tough as stone, the element she wields takes on her greatest challenge. Will this be the time The Spider fails?
