The romance between Jolie and Beck kept reading but even that really didnt fizzle to much of anything. They're whole relationship just seemed thrown together by the end. The story takes place within 2 weeks. So you mean to tell me this girl with a few relationship issues and just throws all that to the wind and runs off with someone she only met 2 weeks ago. Just feeling that there was no real development in their relationship to have the ending they had. (less)

I was just disappointed we didn't get a chance to enjoy their first "encounter". This story has plenty of laughs I cant deny. I felt the story got too far ahead of itself towards the end which is why I only gave it 3 stars.
Im only rating the basic romance story that the main focus not all the side junk that just seemed to clutter what was really going on. Michelle's sister Corrie was definitely one of those sides. Apparently she's 17 but they're treating her and shes acting as though she's barely 15. I was confused every time I was reading about her. Her actions just didn't seem like that of a girl nearly off to college. My other pet peeve was her supposed best friend Beth. If my best friend ever ran off with my fiance I doubt I'd ever forgive her. Granted Michelle realizes she was never really in love with her fiance, the fact that he and her best friend concealed their affair from Michelle for over 4 months seems like a slap in the face. No way would I would I just forgive her. As a friend she should have something months ago! If not that she had feelings for her best friend's fiance, if maybe to at least to help Michelle realize she wasn't actually in love. I could maybe have forgiven Beth if she told her earlier on but they waited practically the day before the wedding.
Anyway, this is an okay enough story to give you a few laughs. But nothing with sustenance. (less)

Though its great that it wasnt predictable but maybe it should have been if only a little. Both Megan and Connor are non believers in love so they to a try out a marriage with everything but. Of course they end up falling for each other. Only I was sure it would have been Connor first. Granted he's the one whos harder to convince on the subject. But I just knew he would have felt the effects right from the start and spent the rest of the time trying to play it off. Or would have spent the time trying to convince Megan that love is the answer. But no. For some reason he just goes on and on about having great chemistry and great sex is just part of being friends within a marriage. I wanted to slap and eventually punch him in the face for being so dumb. Him being oblivious just went on far too long. I felt he could have realized it a little sooner but kept it quiet or something. Cause when he sees it in Megan's face he doesnt understand how or why. But she keeps it together, tries keeping it a secret. At least she recognized it for what it was.
ANYWAY....other than that I really enjoyed reading this. It was cute and funny. A simple quick read. I can totally see this as being a Hallmark/Lifetime movie cause its so ridiculously sappy. (less)

I suppose the whole dynamic of Sarah and David going through marriage counseling is what made the first one so interesting and funny. But now that they've worked through they're issues the wittiness was missing. There were funny moments just not enough to keep me held on to the story. The introduction of The Kid left more to be desired. I hated to imagine them trying to be parents to this kid they just found. Not saying they wouldnt have been great parents, it would just seem so cut and paste. Thankfully, there was a nice twist at the end that finally sparked some interest for me and got me back into the story. Since I already have the 3rd book I am going to go ahead and read it. I doubt other wise I would have gone out of my way to purchase it after reading this one. Hopefully the 3rd will make up for what the 2nd was lacking. (less)
