Obsession by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Totally genius, who can take a race of aliens you despise and make you fall in love with one? Jennifer Armentrout that’s who.
Obsession is the adult companion to the wildly popular Young Adult Lux Series and not to be missed by any Jennifer L. Armentrout/ J. Lynn Fan.
Our heroine Serena is a foul mouthed and funny take no shit kid of girl which I love. She is sucked into the world of the Luxen and Arum when her best friend Mel witnesses her Luxen boyfriend goes all light bright during a fight with his brother. Terrified she contacts her best friend and dishes all the dirty details to Serena.
Serena may first think she’s crazy…
“Yes. He lit up like a freaking glow stick or—or you remember those toys that you squeeze and they light up?” “A Glo Worm?” “That!” Mel pulled her hand free and thrust it through her chin-length, raven-colored hair. “He was like a Glo Worm but only brighter.” Oh dear. She was definitely rocking the crazy pants. “Were you guys drinking or possibly smoking something—”
Then a Luxen shows up and proves Mel is perfectly sane. Enter Hunter, the Arum the DOD sends in to protect Serena.
“This guy was all kinds of inappropriate.”
Oh where do I start? How much did I love Hunter? Well let’s just say he is an instant panty dropping addition to the top book boyfriends list. He’s dark, hot, mysterious, hot, sexy, hot, demanding, and did I say hot?
I have to go with Heather Ricco's find on this one, this guy was just to perfect, here's our Hunter
Arum are nothing like we have glimpsed in the Lux series. As with every race you have your good and your bad seeds. I love this look deeper into Armentrout’s alien world. Obsession has everything you expect from an Armentrout book snark, humor, heat, a lovable heroine, a deliciously sexy bad boy, emotions galore, and epic surprises.
Pick up this series immediately you will not be disappointed! This was an Epic 5+ star read!!! So it gets our Super Kiss!

My review of the final version....
A story of Star crossed lovers from an exceptional writer. I've fallen for the softer side of my favorite writer. We still get Gordon action and wit but she shows us in Shooting Stars that romance can be done with emotion and feelings instead of body parts and one liners. Don't miss this strong debut from what I am sure is going to be another epic series from the extremely talented H.D. Gordon ...more

“I am Chanku, Sebas Reviewed At 30,000 feet, does that qualify as the mile high club? Happy Release Day Dark Wolf and Kate Douglas Check it out, 5 stars!
“I am Chanku, Sebastian. After a run, I really want to fuck. No strings. No ties. I just really, really want sex. Are you up for that?”
He shook himself, and she thought of a big dog coming out of the rain. But then he glanced down at the front of his slacks and raised his head and one eyebrow. “I guess I am.”
Did I get your attention?
As if you didn’t already know already Kate Douglas in one of my favorite authors. Not only is her writing smoldering hot but she is brilliant! Dark Wolf is the second generation of Chanku; The Spirit Wild Series is another Slam-dunk from the queen of erotic novels, Kate Douglas.
I have read along while the first generation met, mated, married, and eventually had children. Now I get to travel along with the pack again in this all new fresh look on their society. This generation knows their heritage and makes no excuses about what they are and what they want.
Lily Cheval is basically the princess of their kind and is all Alpha. She has never meet a man who challenged her and her wolf until Sebastian. Sebastian Xenakis is the son of Aldo Xenakis, a dark wizard that the pack has never trusted. But is Sebastian like his father?
Brutal killings are taking place and all signs point to Chanku. The pack feels like they are being set up and suspect their largest critic Aldo may have something to do with it. But Sebastian seems to be in all the wrong places at the times of the killings.
Lily is torn, she feels the pull to this strong man but if he even Chanku? Humans and Chanku pairs never work out. And something isn’t right with Sebastian, could it be his fathers dark magic or is he playing Lily?
Dark Wolf is a thrilling and sensual dive back into Chanku society whether or nor you have read the first generation or not do not miss this one.

I usually enjoy books that have creatures of all shapes and sizes in the paranormal world. Add in a tough female lead and a sexy man and you can't go wrong with this short, sexy, and fun read. This is the first I have read from Tiffany Allee and I can't wait to read book 2 and whatever else she writes, she has a new fan!
Thank you to Entangled for providing me with a review copy I genuinely loved this one! You guys rock!...more

Gripping, thrilling, suspenseful, and a complete masterpiece.
H.D. Gordon continues to surpass what I expect in her books and Joe is no different. Her writing grows by leaps and bounds with every page turning book she writes.
Joe is a quiet clairvoyant that tugs on your heart strings. She says she is no hero but I strongly disagree. With all the hardships in her life I think most of us would end up in the fetal position. While she is nothing like Gordon's heroine Alexa, from the Alexa Montgomery series. She is just as much the warrior, maybe not the trained bad-ass, but a warrior none the less. This quiet girl with a stutter feels responsible for every vision she has and takes it upon herself to do everything in her power to stop her premonitions from coming to life.
This book is written from eight different perspectives so that you get to know every character and silently root for them to make it through the majorly horrific encounter they might face. "The Decider" is the psychopath they will potentianlly face when he decides he will try to accomplish the largest body count ever in a school shooting. "The Decider's" point of view is chilling and I can't believe how real his scenes were, it was truly like seeing into his psychopathic nature. I found myself rooting for every character that this Psycho plans to slaughter. Six of these characters you can identify with, could even be you, and I prayed that they would all make it.
The ending was utterly enthralling and I could not put it down, Gordon's "running scenes" never have I seen anything like this done before, never before have I read anything like this and was absolutely enthralled. If you read any other book this year... read this one. This heart pounding paranormal thriller has it all and it utterly magnificent.
Just stop reading whatever you are reading and pick this up immediately.
Wow, what an amazing journey into a completely unique world. This Dystopian/Urban Fantasy Novel stole my breath. Journey undeEarly Beta Review 2/21/12
Wow, what an amazing journey into a completely unique world. This Dystopian/Urban Fantasy Novel stole my breath. Journey under the earth’s crust after post apocalypse into the tri-realms for an emotional adventure ready to sweep you into it.
Adele is a 17 year old girl sentenced to life in prison because her father dared to question their unfair existence. For six months she has held her own in the juvenile detention center while waiting for her 18th birthday only to be transferred to a maximum security prison. She is a moon dweller, in this dystopian novel a moon dweller is the middle class but don’t let that fool you most of their neighborhoods are slums.
Tristan is a Sun dweller, Prince of the Tri-realms, first born son to the President. Sun dwellers have been taking advantage of the moon dwellers and even lower class Star dwellers for 500 years. However Tristan is unique and feels his father’s tactics are unethical and disgusting.
One day while fulfilling his princely duty he is in a parade that passes Adele in the yard on the detention center, their eyes meet and Adele feels an instant connection to him. That had to be her imagination right? Follow Adele and her band of rag tag friends in their mission to escape prison and rescue her father from the work camp he has been sent to. At the same time fate leads Tristan away from his Palace in his journey to escape his existence as the “Prince” of the realm.
Will they meet? Do they feel the same connection?
This was a fabulous work of art appropriate for all ages. I am eagerly awaiting the next installment of this sweet and fantastical world from the amazingly creative David Estes.
Wow .... Just wow. Janelle Stalder is a force to be reckoned with, her writing just keeps better and better. Eden West continues this amazing fantasyWow .... Just wow. Janelle Stalder is a force to be reckoned with, her writing just keeps better and better. Eden West continues this amazing fantasy world, I really have not seen anyone better than her at world building in a long time. The plot thickens and the second installment in the Eden series leaves you breathless for the next book.
Elisa is a strong female heroine any mother can trust their teen daughters to look up to. Wolfe, the party boy rake, seems to be growing up... a little bit anyway. He is slowly endearing himself to me. Aiden as always has everyone's best interests first and foremost in his heart. The depth we are seeing with Callum foreshadows what is to come, and I think we are all going to be surprised by him (I hope *fingers crossed*).
There are twists and turns I never saw coming and this fantasy novel is one of the best out there. Pick up this series immediately.
My Rating: 5+ smooches
Recommended for: Teens and Adults
Now the really fun stuff. I already had Travis in mind for Wolfe but Diva Terri is really the best for picking our Book Boyfriends so I am stealing her Callum ;-P
I just finished Deity again for the 100th time and my copy is looking pretty beat up (we NEED these in hard covers!!!)...
Deity is The Book of 2012,I just finished Deity again for the 100th time and my copy is looking pretty beat up (we NEED these in hard covers!!!)...
Deity is The Book of 2012, thus far, and I do not say this lightly! I am a huge Armentrout fan and I started with the Lux series because at the time my friend Kay said start with that one and Kay has impeccable taste so I did. I have allot of love and time invested in that series and would have said I liked it just a little bit more than the covenant series... But... Holy Daimon babies was Deity the freaking bomb or what?!?!?!?
I have been dying to share the awesome-ness that is Deity with the world since I got it.... er.... well, whenever that was that those wonderfully amazing people at Spencer hill Press sent it to me and I did my happy dance and all out fan girl freak out....
So yeah I read it and was quiet literally my mind was like this for days...
I could not even process and wrap my mind around how awesome the book was. And only now after spending months with it can I even make an attempt of talking about it.
In Deity we re-join Alex, Aiden, and Seth... oh and all those other people. We are re-united with our long lost friends and join the wait for Alex's 18th birthday.
All through this series I really couldn't decide who I wanted Alex to be with ... I mean Aiden and Seth (to me) were equally appealing. But in this one I became all about Aiden. He is just so .... yummy.
Really what's not to love?
Don't get me wrong I will always have hope for one of my favorite bad boys, Seth. If he decides to man up and take it I will always hold out with a little piece of my heart for him.
Seriously though girls, this book was the bomb digity ... all that and a bag of chips! Pre-Order your copy now. Maybe camp out at your local book store for it's release because I lie to you not it is epic.
I know I am not telling you much about this book, but believe me I have my reasons for secrecy! You DO NOT want it spoiled for you, I don't even want to try to tip toe around the plot and risk it.... yeah, it's that good.
Of coarse Deity gets the Super smooch from me
Love You Jennifer Armentrout! Thank you for this amazing series and all the fun times I have with your characters. They really are truly unique and I love them all! Also thank you to those amazing people at Spencer Hill Press you guys rock!

This Valentines Day I fell in Love with Jennifer L. Armentrout. I had been hearing through the grapevine aDon't mind me doing my happy dance...
This Valentines Day I fell in Love with Jennifer L. Armentrout. I had been hearing through the grapevine about JLA an one particular grape has been rather loud about her work. So with all the faith that Kay @ K-books knows what she is talking about I picked up Obsidian first chance I had to read one of "my choice" reads. And now I can officially jump on Ms. Armentrout's space ship and enthusiastically follow her anywhere...
I am not usually a big sci-fi reader but there are a few I can like, well I guess now there is one I LOVE and that is the Lux series. Which is actually quite refreshing! Some Authors try to capture true sarcastic personalities and wittiness in their characters but JLA masters it. There is a delicate line that must not crossed for you to truly appreciate the humor in it without turning you off to the character. You just fall for this highly passionate and combustable relationship between Kat and Daemon in Obsidian. You never know if the are going to kiss or kill each other and you can get lost into the journey with them.
If you have not read this series yet you are seriously missing out! It's extraordinary!
I also love the quirky personality in Kat and the way she stands up to the enigma that is our sexy arrogant devastatingly handsome Daemon. One of my favorite Kat quotes...
“Beautiful face. Beautiful body. Horrible attitude. It was the holy trinity of hot boys.”
And doesn't that just say it all!
So yes I will be eagerly awaiting the Prequel due out February 21st & the second book Onyx May 15th 2012. As well as purchasing everything that this budding new author has out.
And the other good news is that I have already stalked her website and google and gotten you all the links you will need to properly follow her along, in what I am sure with be a very long and extremely successful writing career.
This one gets my top rating above the five stars it was - BEAST!
And of coarse as always I will leave you with what I dug up and the characters. This one is easy becuase the cover is fabulous and matches the characters perfectly. Although there was not nearly enough pictures of the the models for my liking but here is what I was able to find...
