It's not my favorite play, and I found my mind wandering while I read it, which is sad, because I'm a teacher, and I am supposed to love this play. If...moreIt's not my favorite play, and I found my mind wandering while I read it, which is sad, because I'm a teacher, and I am supposed to love this play. If nothing else, this semester's students enjoyed it a great deal, and that's what really matters.
Having said that, I have to give Miller credit for his character development. Each character has a unique voice, and I don't think it's possible to read this play without feeling some kind of emotion, whether pity or anger or both. (less)
