I hope you, Jennifer and my readers will enjoy this review.
I have been hearing a lot of great things about Jennifer's novels from blog friends of mine and knew I wanted to read one. Since I had not yet read any books by her I did not know what to expect. I have recently gotten into Chick-lit genre and after reading Forgot you my love for these type's of books has grown a lot stronger. Forget you has such a amazing story line that will keep the reader wanting to know what will happen next. There is such a passionate relationship between the two main character's in the book and even when you think that both of them could so not be right for each for what happened in the past... they are!
So let's start from the beginning. Zoey is your average teen age girl. She is on the swim team, she works for her Dad at a water park, she has two best friends and a guy friends who she is falling for. What more could one ask for. Zoey ends up having sex for the first time with her crush/friend, Brandon one night at a party. Everything seems to being going good for Zoey. Until one day her Mother attempts suicide because of ongoing problems with her ex-husband. Zoey's world turns upside down with this. She now is being taken from her Mother's home to go and live with her Dad. Zoey does not want anyone to know about what happen to her Mom who is now in a mental hospital. But someone does know and Zoey is not to happy about this. Doug. Both Doug and Zoey have never really been on good terms with each other from a past event that lead to both of them choosing not to like one another. One night at a Football game Zoey has a run in with Doug who is nothing but mean to her. Zoey is hurt and decides to go find Brandon at a after-party on the beach but after getting into her car that is the last thing she remembers... There was a car crash and Something happen that night that she cannot remember and now suddenly Doug is being so sweet to her. But why? While Brandon barely will speak to her.
Find out what happens by reading Forget you for yourself. I truly believe if you enjoy chick-lit books then this Forget you would be a perfect fit. I really loved reading about the love/hate relationship between Zoey and Doug. I found myself seeing Doug in a whole new light. At the beginning of the book I was not sure I liked him for the way she was treating Zoey but after seeing him for who he really is makes for a great transformation that took place throughout the book. Now Zoey at times came off as being somewhat naive about what was going on around here. Both of the main character where fun to get to know and I so enjoy reading about how there relationship bloomed along the way. One thing I did not like and this was not the author fault but I hated Zoey's Dad. At some points in the book I wished I could reach into the book and smack him. ^__^ I did in fact like how there was a mystery within the book, trying to find out what really happen to Zoey the night she lost her memory. That makes for a very interesting read in my opinion. Jennifer's writing style was smooth and face paced. Such a captivating love story with a mix of mystery thrown in. As this was my first book read by Jennifer Echols and I whole-hearty enjoyed it, more than I thought I would. I feel that she is a brilliant writer with the rare talent to write such a alluring book to leave her readers wanting more. (less)

My expectations for this book where pretty high since I so feel in love with Anna and The French Kiss and I must say I was not disappointed in the least. Now I will tell you that I do still love Anna better than Lola's story. Both books where so much fun to read and the author always finds a way to someone touch the readers hearts with such a beautiful and riveting love story. But this book is Lola's story, so here is where it begins...
Lola is a free spirit, a very not normal girl, but in a good way. She never wears the same outfit twice. Lola always needs to wear something to make her stand out. She has a dream to be a clothing/costumes designer. Lola lives with her two Dads, has a wonderful BFF, Lindsey and a hot older boyfriend. Life is good! Until someone or should I say someone's from Lola's past come back to live in her neighborhood again. The Bell twins, Calliope and Cricket are back! While Lola is no longer friends with Calliope. Cricket is a whole another story. He is sweet, and caring, and the last time she saw her he broke her heart. Lola will now come face to face with the boy next door, and come to find that the feeling she once had for him are not buried away but coming back to the surface. A Romantic love story with hardships along the way, and choices will be made - Lola will need to follow her heart... but will it lead her to The Boy Next Door?
I absolutely adore this book. The story was light, fun and had such a sweet and tender romance between Lola and Cricket. At times I did find the pace of the book was a little slow, but other than that I so enjoyed reading about Lola's story. I was also very happy to find out that Anna and St.Claire where in the book a little. This is what authors call a companion novel which I found to really enjoy. It was fun being able to read what happen after Anna and St.Claire left Paris. The way Stephanie adds them into Lola's story was flawless. Both books for me have begun a blooming love for Chick-Lit novels. I have never really read many but after taking a chance on Anna and Lola I am HOOKED! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who has read Anna and the French Kiss as well as just a highly entertaining read. I can so say that Stephanie Perkins has now found a new fan of her books, (me) and I hope she will continue to write. (less)

I mean I know I keep hearing all of these great reviews raving about how GOOD Pushing The Limits was but I was still a little hesitant to believe them all. I am so, so, so happy I was able to read this book. Everything about it was so perfect. The Story, the characters, the drama, the romance between Echo and Noah. Once I was done reading, I clutched the book to my chest and did not want to let go. There are books out there that after you finish them you just have this great sense of awe and feeling of happiness. Pushing The Limits gave me that feeling but yet a small part of me was sad that the book was over. I wanted to know more about what happens to Echo and Noah. What their future holds together.
If you have read the book then you know the story of Echo and Noah but if you still have yet to read it then I will not go into a whole of details about the story. I don't want to spoil anything for new readers. So the story consits of a girl named Echo and a boy named Noah. Both are dealing with there own problems, hardships, and loss. Echo lives with her controlling Father and step-mother. She is trying hard to have a normal life again after what happen to her one night when she was with her real mother. Echo does not remember anything of that night and is told her brain is blocking her memories. One thing she knows for sure is that she has scars on her hands and wrists but doesn't now to where they came from. Noah is your YUMMY, hot bad boy with that I don't give a f*** additude that ever girl wants to have. Under that rough exterior Noah has secrets himself. His Mother and Father died in a fire years ago leaving him and her two younger brothers alone. They were split up and put into foster care. Noah will go to the ends of the earth to get his bothers back.
Both Echo and Noah's world soon collide in a turn of events in which their lives both will be changed forever.
I just fell head of heels in love with Pushing The Limits. I know I rave about a lot of books I love but this one by far just rocked my world. I was not expecting such a outstanding read. Author Katie McGarry is a GOD! Well, not really but she is very awesome!! Her style of writing and how well her characters evolve with each chapter makes for a entrancing read. I loved how edgy the story was and the characters. She did not hold anything back while writing. I cannot recommend Pushing The Limits enough. This book is a MUST read. You will not be disappointing.

First Impressions: I have come to find I adore the genre of Chick Lit and have recently been reading many of these types of books. So when I was asked by Lori's Publicist to read and review her book I was super excited. I just love the cover of the book, so very simple and fits the story to a tee. From what I read in the blurb about the book provided for me I knew The Dirt would be a excellent fit.
My Review: Upon opening the book and reading the first page I was hooked already. The story moved along very quickly and as I read I found there was never a dull moment throughout the book. While The Dirt is a short read with only 205 pages it surely packed a punch; leaving the reading always wanting more.
Lucy Whitley and her two sisters, Sloane and are the talk of the town. Being rich and having wild gossip always surrounding them is part of there every day lifes. Lucy wants nothing more than to get through her Father's wedding, move away from all of drama and go to a prestigious boarding school in Connecticut. Oh course nothing seems to go as planned for Lucy. When her Father and new step-mother are about to say their "I DO"S", when "someone" from the past shows up with shocking news. Now Lucy is being forced to leave for vacation with her family and the "new addition" is coming along for the ride. While what comes in the story next will blow you away. The Drama, The Deception and The Dirt makes for a thrilling read.
I adore everything about the book from the cover to the story itself. Very fresh and unique. I loved how smooth and fast the pace of the book when. The story and the character's were very entrancing. I could not put the book down, literally. I stay awake until 1 AM to finish the book. I just found I NEEDED to know what came next and how it would end. I really enjoyed Lucy's characteristics although I did feel she was a but whiny at times. Sloane. Well she is the girl you love to hate, always at the root of all the drama and scandal's. Author Lori Culwell has written such a fun book for all ages and definitely knows how to dish out The Dirt!
Final Thoughts: The book has beyond any doubt lived up to my expectation's. The Dirt is a true form of a Chick Lit novel. Anyone who enjoy these types of books as I do would wholeheartedly "dig" The Dirt. (less)
Hollywood Car Wash is the second book I have read by author Lori Culwell. The first being her latest novel "The Dirt". I was not sure what to expect going into this one but I will say I did hope I would love it as much as I did The Dirt. I was right, so right! This book has everything from interesting characters to a fun and engrossing story-line. I mean I know everyone loves hearing some juicy gossip. It's all about the world of fame and fortune and how one young woman rises to to the top and what she does to get there.
When Amy Spencer gets the chance to audition for a major role in a TV series called Autumn Leaves. She goes to California for the audition hoping this is her break to make it big. When she gets a call back for another audition then another for the TV series. Amy now has high hopes that they loved her acting and will ask her to sign a contract. So when Amy gets "THE" call and finds out that the studio was blown away by her auditions and wants her to be the newest STAR and Amy is beyond thrilled. She will now have the chance to be a real actress and help her family with their financial problems as well. At first everything is great. Amy has just about EVERYTHING handed to her on a plate. Free food, new clothes, a huge room in a fancy hotel and is always being showered by gifts. Amy is living the high live and knows it. One day when she is called in to speak with one of the network executives. Amy is told she needs to make major changes in order to boost the shows ratings. They want her to lose weight, chance her hair and many more aspects of her body but the biggest change comes when they asks her to chance his name to STAR instead of Amy. While Amy feels she looks fine the way she is and likes her name. She ends up doing as told, only to find out she really likes the new Amy Star. As Autumn Leaves becomes more and more popular, so does Star. She will she risk everything to continue to climb the ladder to fame and fortune even if it means losing her true self along the way.
I personally never watch TV shows about actors and actresses like Entertainment tonight. I could really care less about them. This book really opened my eyes and gave me a real inside look how today's celebs live and deal with their fame and fortune. Lori Culwell really did a excellent job at portraying the life of a celebrity and making the reader understand it. The book is very face paced and highly entertaining that I could not put the book down. Although I did have a couple problem area's for me in the book, one being how Amy did anything and everything she was told, whether she liked it or not. I felt like she lost her soul when she signed that contract deal. I literally was "shaking my head" when she agrees to do certain things to her body when the network asked. I had a deep sense of pity for her and wanted to she her be true to herself.
I give this book much praise and would so recommend Hollywood Car Wash to my readers. I feel it is a really great and eye opening story for anyone who enjoys watching or reading about celebrities. Author Lori Culwell has definitely written a superstar novel.(less)
Temptation is your classic boy meets girl love story. Only in this story falling in love is forbidden. Noah and his family are Amish and are custom to the simple things in life. Rose was your big city gal until her Father decided to uproot her to live out in the country. On the first day as her family is moving into their new home some unexpected visitors arrive welcoming them to town. Noah a boy from a nearby Amish community is among them. Noah and his family is like nothing Rose has ever seen. Noah and Rose get to know each other and quickly begin to fall in love. Love at first sight truly is real and both seem to be feeling the same thing about each other. Noah understand that it is forbidden to love someone like a Rose, a outsider, a English girl a non-amish. While Rose comes to find out that Noah should not be with someone like her. This only makes them want each other more. Rose and Noah will now need to find a way to be with each other even if that means risking everything for true love.
I have always been quite fascinated by the Amish culture. I love how simple there lives are and how they have such strong family vaules. My understanding about how the Amish live has always been kind of hazy. I admit I have never really looked into this subject so it was very refreshing reading my first book about it and learning more. Author Karen Ann Hopkins did a wonderful job of not only writing a beautiful romance but having a unqiue background for the book to be set in. I honestly enjoyed learning more about Amish people and their lives. Temptation really pulled on my heart strings many times during the book and the ending had me in tears. I so felt bad that Rose and Noah had to hide what they were feeling and betray their families in the process.
The romance in the story between Noah and Rose is so sweet and unconditional. I really became attached to how they had such a prue love for each other. I did have a couple issues as well I would like to addess. One, I did feel that even know the love between the couple was real it happened to fast for my taste. I felt they should have gotten to know each other more, inside and out before falling so deeply in love. Two, Rose was a little to pleasing for my taste. At times during the book Noah would remark on things he thought Rose should do or how she should act according to what he was raised to believe. Rose never really got to mad at him for saying so.
All in all I really did adore this book. I liked it a lot more than I though I would have. I feel the main things that make Temptation to be such a great read is the pure yet innocent love between the main characters and of course the setting of the story. The author Karen Ann Hopkins has written a lovey debut novel. Her writing style just flows off the page.
So, would I read the next one? Yes! Definitely. For anyone who enjoys reading YA Contemporary novels I would so recommend Temptation. (less)

First please allow me to begin by thanking author Daria Snadowsky for my copies of Anatomy of a Boyfriend and Anatomy of a Single Girl (review coming soon). I now have another favorite author to add to my list. ;)
Warning: Okay, this must be said before I continue with my review. Anatomy of a Boyfriend is NOT a YA novel...I know it comes across as one solely based on the book cover and description but no. NEW Adult is much more accurate. There are quite a few sex scenes which are described tastefully but in great detail. So with that said I will continue with my review.
Dominique aka "Dom" is a senior in High School soon to graduate with honors and move on to college with hopes of becoming a doctor. Dom wants nothing more than to becoming a doctor to help and heal people for a living. This has been a dream of hers since she was a little girl playing the game operation with her Dad.
While attending a HS football game with her friend Amy, Dom trips and falls down flat on her face. Embarrassed much? A boy comes to her rescue named Wesley. Wesley goes to another school, the same school her friend Amy attends. After their chance meeting, Amy helps Dom track down information about Wesley and ends up finding his e-mail. Dom and Wesley begin e-mailing back and forth but soon decide to meet. Both have little experience with dating and romance since both Dom and Wesley really have never "really" dated before. They both experience their first real kiss together. Their first time making out and more so falling in love. Dom without a doubt knows that she is head over heals in love with Wesley and decides it's time to take the next step in their relationship. SEX! Both Dom and Wesley are both virgins and know very little about what their doing. Of course, practice makes perfect.
As their romance and love grows; "something" happens to make everything change. An event that will either make or break Dom and Wesley's love forever....
Of course I am not going to tell you what. To find out read the book...
This was me after reading this book. I was all like, "WHAT DID I JUST READ?"
Anatomy of a Boyfriend was by far one of the best books I have ever read. I am SO NOT kidding. I was totally floored by pretty much everything going on in the story. The romance between Dom and Wesley was so raw and beautiful. So simple and sweet. Daria Snadowsky took her time developing the relationship between the characters. Dom is a totally relatable character and by far gives the book so much depth and feeling. She is funny, witty and down right awesome! With Wesley, I was in a love-hate relationship with his character. Of course by the ending you will understand why.
I want to briefly talk about the "sex" in the book and why I feel there is no way this book should be shelved in the YA fiction. The love making or sex scenes were simply amazing to say the least. The author somehow was able to not only make these scenes super hot but tasteful as well. Dom and Wesley were both new to the act of sex and at times had no clue what they were doing. As their relationship grew and evolved I felt like I was there along side Dom seeing everything through her eyes.
Author Daria Snadowsky has easily become of my new favorite authors. Her writing style is flawless; almost lyrical. Anatomy of a Boyfriend is a fast-paced, cute, funny, daring and charming read. A MUST read! (less)
