"Perry," he said quietly, his fingers trailing down the side of my face, "you'll never have to save my life. You gave me life. I never lived a single day until the first day I met you."
At the end of Lying Season...I was litterally D-YING!! Being a huge supporter of Dex and Perry's relationship I wanted to KILL Dex when he did what he did..while also realizing his utter remorse soon after! All the push and pull and whatnot with those two is what really makes this series quite feckin' entertaining. Add that to all the supernatural shit that goes on and you got a winner! On Demon Wings was definitely my favorite of the series! Even though I felt that way about each one....I still feel the same. In this installment Perry goes through a lot of ups and downs, trying the heal and create a new life for herself sans Dex. Still seeing ghosts and trying to have a more positive look on life, Perry faces her most challenging battle to date. Her lows were so great in regards to her heart break it was hard to fathom at times. Karina Halle does a fantastic job of making you feel the hurt then the next thing you know....BAM! Some shit goes down and you're like..."What the fuck?!". I know when I went to the kitchen to get some water last night...I was freaking the freak out!!
One of the things I loved about this book was Perry and Ada's relationship...it was good to see them start to trust each other and count on one another. I really think Perry should listen to her lil sis more especially in regards to a certain someone...but I wont name cuz Im not gonna spoil nothing;) Said someone is a complete douchecanoe(God I love that word) if you ask me....but whatevs!
All in all, Winner winner chicken dinner, I say! I loved every second of it and was scared shitless to boot! Anytime you're thanking someone for creating something that Literally made you almost piss your pants is saying something! Alls Im saying is read this series at night....see where that gets you! But seriously...READ THIS BOOK....it really is the most original, scary, most fantastic, dark and gritty series out there! BTW...That cover is sick and it makes so much sense now!
".......You have every right to hate me for this lifetime and many others. You have every right to never see me again. To spit on my grave. But tonight, now, I'm not going to give up on you or," his voice fell with weight, "die trying."

But getting to the crazy bunny andSince Miranda and Ethan defeated the mastermind behind the abductions and experimentation he's hellbent on revenge. But getting to the crazy bunny and her grumpy bear has proved near impossible. So he sets his sights on the next best thing....Ethan's brother Mason.
As an undercover agent, Mason's mission is to protect the shifter community and by extension the lovely chocolate swan Jessie. She's the tech wiz of the FUC and is in danger since the evil mastermind is suddenly after her. But Jessie doesnt want his type of protection. She's knows he's a ladies man and doesnt do one-night-stands. But after spending quality time with him, her defenses are breaking and realizes this sexy bear is quite irresistible.
What I loved about this was Mason's willingness to convince Jessie that he was serious about her. He constantly chased her, and annoyed her it was quite entertaining! Sometimes I just wanted to slap her though. She just didnt get it and was so insecure...but whatevs! It made for an entertaining and delightful story.
All in all, I thought it was great. Not as good as the last one. Maybe since Jessie was more like a damsel in distress compared to Miranda....who was totally kick ass and hilarious! But it was a good and satisfying read. Can't wait to find out whats next in the FUC world.......more

2stars....yea, 2 feckin stars!! Never would have saw this shit coming but I should known since my girl Miss Vain gave it a 1! If I say too much it will spoil the surprise so Ill just wing it.
As others have said...this has nothing to do with Calla's choice. I would given this book a 4 maybe a 5 if certain events did not come to pass. I would say, but you'll just have to read this train wreck to understand! The ending I got it, knew it had to be done now that Iv thought about it but other things, not so much! There was plenty of action, suspense, betrayal and a love triangle for the ages. Do I recommend people to read this book?? Hells no! Not if you haven't read the first two! If you've never read Nightshade, don't even think about it. If you do, don't say I didnt warn you. Andrea Cremer really screwed me over and Im so GLAD that I got an Arc from my Terrible girls or else I would be beyond livid! This was like, burn-the -book-throw-it-out-the-window horrible, terrible....BULL fucking SHIT!
If you've read the previous books...Im so sorry for ya! Cuz once you read this drivel....you'll be right with me!
All in all, what started out as a promising YA paranormal series at its best, turned out to be a sick joke...Ha ha ha Andrea thanks for nothing!...more

In this final installment of the Dark Swan series, Eugenie is about 5 months pregnant with the twins. She's been hiding from that asshole Kiyo and that beeznatch Maiwenn and secretly trekking to the doctors in the human world. Realizing what she's doing is just too dangerous for the twins, Roland sets her up with a shaman friend of his in Alabama so she can finish the remainder of her pregnancy in peace and safety. Yes....Alabama. What I loved about the theory, once she got down there, was the relaxation and sereneness of the place. The Reeds were the most loving and accepting couple. And Eugenie really needed that. I understood her wanting to stay there once the twins were born. But she soon got her shit together when she found out the whole Otherworld was experiencing a blight and left the twins with the Reeds.
I loved the fact that this was not soley about her and her pregnancy. I was sucked in right away....Richelle Mead has a way of doing that to ya:) Once Eugenie gets back to her kingdoms she realizes how bad it is. Everything is covered in snow and ice, her people are dying and starving. its just the worst possible scenario. One of my favorite parts of this books is with my buddy Volusian. In a meeting with Dorian and the others she asks Volusian if he thinks Varia, Queen of Yew Land was responsible for the blight and if he knew how to stop it. True Volusian style....he tells her yes! I just thought it was hilarious since all he had to do was tell her or Dorian a month ago. But whats the fun in that???
"....Why the hell didn't you tell someone sooner?"
I couldn't be certain, but I thought I saw the tiniest shrug of Volusian's shoulder.
"Because, mistress," he said. "You never asked."
So, on with the adventure. Eugenie, Dorian, Jasmine, Pagiel, Rurik and my pal Volusian...off to the Yew Land to stop the evil Queen whose delusions of grander has her to believe she can stop the blight on the lands if Eugenie and Dorian accepting her rule.
What else can I say, but I loved it! It was a great conclusion to a great series. Even though Im kinda iffy on the decisions Eugenie made but it was still a surprising end. There a lot of secrets revealed, Eugenie kicks ass. Dorian is his usual snarky self with a new attitude that made me love him even more. This is definitely high in my top 5, favorite Urban Fantasy series and its all because of Mead and the way she has you fall in love and sometimes hate with her characters that you just can help to want to read more about. I would love for her to revisit this world and just give us a little more. Can't wait to find out what great series she has up her sleeve now!
