A mystery to be solved and a whole village in on a secret. A perfect formula for a great story! So I immediately searched and got the book, began reading right away and finished it less than 24 hours later.
Spoiler alert! Don't read the next lines if you don't want to know...
My verdict: The story was woven so good no wonder I was lured to finish it in less than a day! A page turner, you will want to find out what happened to Adam and why he just vanished without a trace. You will feel an instant bond with Grace, the protagonist, and it was so easy to conclude that Meredith, the lady of the manor, was somehow involved in Adam's disappearance. But how and why? That would propel you to read until the end.
But you know what? The conclusion was so disappointing I wanted to cry! Adam disappeared because of that?!? What happened to Meredith then? WTH was all that about?!?
Sara Foster should have gone further and made Adam's disappearance something more than that.
It was really too bad. The story was well written. I think Sara copped out and failed to deliver what should have been a really great mystery!(less)
