From Seattle’s Blossom Street, Bethanne Hamlin, her daughter Annie, and her ex-Mother-in-law, Ruth, take a road trip of a lifetime !
Ruth was determined to drive to her 50th class reunion in Florida. She has secret hopes to also see her high school sweetheart, Bryce. Ruth wants to make amends with her first love, all these years she has felt horrible for the way she left him.
Bethanne agreed to accompany Ruth on the trip, she needed time to reflect on the fact that her ex-husband, that left her six years ago for another woman, wants a chance to reconcile.
The adventure brings them to many turns in the road, like their first stop, Pendleton Oregon. It brought Ruth back to the place she lived as a newlywed, and she was able to connect with a long lost friend. Bethanne also meets a biker, Max whom she cant get out of her mind. This makes her decision to reconcile even more complicated.
This book is an amazing example of the saying “It isn’t the ending, but the journey that matters” You will fall in love with the characters, and feel like part of the family. Debbie Macomber has a wonderful ability of drawing you into her character’s lives. Her books stay with me, even after I have closed the cover. ...more

She expects to travel to an exotic country, but instead is sent to San Antonio, TX to rebuild homes destroyed by a flood. Lexa meets the team work mission director, Sam Lewis who challenges her to grow spiritually and emotionally. They have an immediate attraction, which brings out the best and worst in Lexa. During the eight weeks, Sam and Lexa endure many challenges that cause them to question and grow in their faith, which also brings them closer as a couple.
This is a humorous, uplifting, and adventurous story. Awakening is JoAnn Durgin’s first published novel, which I found to be an entertaining story with many surprising twists and turns.
Fern Michaels amazes me at how she can have so many complex characters in one book, all weaved together.

Southern Comfort grabbed my attention from the forward, I was glued !
Tick is a Homicide Detective, that moves to Mango Key Fl after a tradgic night. He tries to drown out the memories by drinking and becomes a recluse. His Brother Pete comes to visit, and tries to bring him back to the "land of living." Pete and Tick meet two hot DEA agents, Kate and Sandy. They all become involved in a year long investigation that is full of suspense, laughter and sexual tension.
I loved that Fern Michaels uses a parrot as a "main character" in this book, although I would have loved to see him a bit more at the end of book.
This book would be a great read for males or females, although sadly the cover has flowers on it..and I beleive men will shy away. SO look past the covers, MEN and pick up this book !
