The reason I enjoyed and recommend this book by Janet Nestor is because she takes the time to "walk the reader" through the techniques, strategies and tools that can help the reader really harness the power of self care. She bring together techniques such as meditation, journaling and affirmations and combines them with simply tools such as laughter, joy, happiness, positive thinking to offer ways to carry self care in our daily lives. I also liked the fact the format of the book as she shares the tools, techniques, and strategies in the front part of the book and then the second part, she provides a workbook that the reader can come back to and customize their self care routine and study after how it fits into their life.
