He came around, and yes, he even crawled. She deserved that 'cause he was a f*ckwad! I loved when she let him have it for not speaking up for her with Jace and Ash. She should have done it in Paris too!(less)

Max and Sara did that for me. This novel—their story. Everything about this book dazzled me: how much better I thought it was than Beautiful Bastard, how enchanting I found Max and Sara's unusual "courtship", how clever, witty, and hot the dialog was, how equally I enjoyed reading each of their points of view, and how they communicated so openly even when they were trying to remain "strangers." I really want to know how this novel I was expecting so little from shook me up so much. You know what, I don't want to know. I just need to be able to re-read it when the mood strikes. I mean Max and Sara together are...BEAUTIFUL! *blissful* (less)

For all of the chuckling and laughing I did through the entire book I definitely teared up at the end. *sniff* They'll make it though. They deserve the best long distance phone sex, and a awesome HEA in Grace's cozy house! Must read The Redhead Revealed soon, 'cause I'm sure I will miss them. Alice Clayton sure knows how to get the laughs! (less)

Hmm, well, nothing. I was taken with every little thing. I was impressed by the depth of the characters, the positive light in which the hospital and staff were represented, and how day-to-day life was portrayed. Nothing was glamorized, and yet Kelly and Erin came across as remarkable. I was so glad that Erin and Kelly's relationship wasn't made all about the sex. They had things to say and the author should be applauded for writing them the way she did. Other aspects of the book that really blew me away were the apt metaphors, and appropriately expansive vocabulary used throughout. Loved it!(less)

Crushed on Cole even though he did some pretty awful things: bad biker club stuff, murder, smoked like a fiend, plus other stuff. What he did 'good' was all Angel. I loved his "Angel" voice - how he treated her (for the most part)...how he knew she was worth treating well. Yes, he messed up, but for a bad biker dude he sure had a soft spot for her. I liked that even though Angel was sweet, she was no door mat. She was a fighter - for herself and for her family. Ooh-ooh, the author also gave two secondary characters regional dialects - one Scottish and the other Cajun!!! I love when that happens, but find it rarely, dammit.
It wasn't as raw as I was expecting - language, sex, and violence, which was kind of a relief. Although I expect some errors in indie books Outlaw did seem to have an excess: typos, misspellings, and grammatical. They didn't bother me all that much because I did get lost in the story. I really-really enjoyed the happily-ever-after ending too! Very glad I took the chance on this today! (less)

I was very impressed with how well she conveyed both joy and pain so effectively. The beginning certainly depicted Pax negatively, but this is an outstanding example of the best kind of HEA - the kind that had to be worked for. Something I found interesting was how any past associations or specific experience Mila had with men wasn't mentioned. Especially with Pax's sordid sexual history. I think it would have been the obvious choice for the author to make a comparison between Mila and Pax in this area. The fact that she didn't took some of the predictability out of their story. Oh, and the "Bonus Material" - Pax's point of view of the wedding scene was OUTSTANDING!
I laughed. I cried. I loved this book. I am SO there for Madison's story If You Leave later this year! (less)

I have succumbed like so many others. I didn't expect to think that Remington was "all that", but dammit he IS!!! Even with the graphic championship fight description, which left me feeling queasy, I LOVED this book! I had scanned some reader comments before committing to read Real mentioning a deficit in dialogue, an excess amount of talk about muscles and hormones, and an inaccurate description of bipolarism. GAH! I don't care about all that. I loved Brooke's narration, how protective Remy's team was of him, and how primal Remy and Brooke were. RAWR!
GAH...AGAIN! I gotta wait for Mine and it's gonna feel like FOR-EV-ER!(less)

Several times I felt so unsettled I found myself trembling. Despite that and even during the most savage scene I believe I've ever read I collected my jumbled emotions and continued. I. Could. Not. Stop. INTENSELY AFFECTING!!! Must keep taking deep breaths...I was waaaaay outside my comfort zone with this one. (less)
