LOVED the conflicts Caridad threw at the hero and heroine. The sense of honor and loyalty---and love--was so intense I found myself reading faster and faster to find out what happened next.
Christopher is one of my favorite types of heroes. Strong and sensitive, dedicated to his values. Strong, but not arrogant. I just loved Christopher.

And she did it WELL! Such great writing had me yanked into each and every page. I felt like I was right there in that era. Feeling what they were feeling. I just love that in a story.
The love between the hero and heroine is enviable. It's what love stories are made for, really. It just tugged at me and kept me thinking about it long after I read the book.

This book hooked me and never let go. I did NOT want to go to sleep last night, but my eyes demanded it. But when I woke up, it was on my mind. I took my kindle to the gym and purposely did the elliptical machine so I could read while I exercised. It was that good. And yes, I finished it. The writing is so magical. It yanked me into each and every scene. The romance was intense, but sweet! The connection between Emma and Finn...it was just delicious. I kept asking myself, "How is this going to end happily?" So many obstacles, so well written and plotted out, I just lost myself in the story and the characters. I wonder who book two will be about....can't wait to find out. Nicely done Tara A Fuller!!! Such innocence sprinkled in with sparks of heat that had me sighing.
I just couldn't put the book down, and I love that. When a book has me thinking, "just one more chapter," all the way through to the end, that's AWESOME. And when I'm crying when the characters are, that's even more awesome. I love taking the journey with the characters and I did on this one. Fuller paints the scenes so well, they rolled like a movie in my mind.

Liked her more in this book than I did the others.
I guess that's part of the growth of the characters, right?
Dimitri **le sigh** is a wonderfully crafted hero. I admire the depth Mead gave him. So complex, honorable, yet still a man! Mead has done a masterful job at creating these characters and weaving a wonderful plot that keeps me engaged to the point of losing much needed sleep.
On to the next book. I can not wait to see how this unfolds. I'm just glad the series is complete and I don't have to wait for the other ones to come out!!

There was a lot of going back and forth between memories and such, which is something I usually don't like, but Mead did it perfectly. It really strengthened things for Dimitri. I really felt a connection between the hero and heroine in this story.
The action was constant. I never wanted to put this book down. Each page had me hurriedly reading so I could find out what happened.
The world Zanetti has created for these novels is amazing. Very detailed, creative and unique! Love it!! :)

I'd read enough of Rose's mood swings and was ready to see the story move forward from that. Rose to move forward from that. A few plot points were pretty predictable but still interesting and well-written.
Overall, I liked the story, and I'll keep reading the series. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Dimitri. I can't wait to see what happens between Rose and Dimitri as the series moved forward! I really like Richelle Mead's take on Vamps. It's creative and unique. Her writing shows me Rose's world really well.

When I can feel everything the character is feeling. The passion was pretty intense, too. Caridad did a fantastic job weaving a tight, deep plot and she sprinkled enough action scenes to keep things moving, which I like, too.
Bobbie was a deep, complex character. I loved her strength, but I even loved her weaknesses. They were real. Intense. Believable. I really respected her and enjoyed watching her change throughout the story. (less)

I loved all the action in this one. Tons of fighting and battling. I have to admit, though, the romance part was a bit .... rougher than I care for. I kept waiting for some tenderness to be shown, yet I didn't see that. Then again, I lean more toward the softer side of romance so it's just personal preference.
It was fun watching their transformations together. How they started becoming one with their powers and how strong Dage turned out to be. The plot is deep and well structured as are the characters. I really like the introduction of the new characters, which I hope eventually have their own stories.
Especially the witches.
I really love Rebecca Zanetti's writing. So visual and engrossing, I can't put her books down until I've read just one more chapter (and lost hours of sleep!) Her story telling skills are right up there with the best in the paranormal romance business. She's on my auto-buy list for sure.

I must warn whoever picks up this book—it contains some steamy scenes. She reminds me of Gena Showalter. Steamy writing, but great stories, great characters, and great writing!
I just loved Talen. He’s a complex character. Really rough and harsh, yet has a tender side, too. That’s my favorite. Rebecca wrote him really well. I just couldn’t wait to see what he’d do next.

Patch....now he was dark. At first I was like, huh? He's such a jerk. And when he walked away all those time I wanted to scream. But that's a good thing, because that meant I was invested in him. I just kept reading and reading to find out what he was, how he was going to change, and how it would affect Nora.
Vee was a fun character, too. Sometimes the snarkiness got annoying and I was like, "Okay, enough." But for the most part, it was spot on. Loved the bantering and dialogue.
The book kept me intrigued, and I just had to read that next chapter. I lost MUCH sleep to read this. Glad I did, though. Excellent read. Looking forward to the next ones. (less)
