Everyone’s been talking about Divergent for quite some time now and I feel like I’m the only one who hasn’t read it yet - until now, that is. I’ve heard so many good things about this book and I’ve been absolutely dying to read it, so my expectations were skyhigh. Which is why I felt a bit unsure, to say the least, when I started reading it.
I’m not going to lie, it took me a few chapters to really get into the book. It was quite slow in the beginning and I was almost ready to give up. Almost. I’m glad I didn’t. Because Divergent is everything people have been saying it is - and even more. It’s a fantastic book and I really enjoyed it. It’s not flawless, there are things that I would like to change but those things are easily forgotten because of the great plot and the characters and the way the book is written. And it’s just a really great read....more

This book has been on my must read - list for such a long time, even before it was out, and I don’t know why I haven’t bought it until now - but after reading it I do regret not buying it sooner. Because, this book, you guys! This book! It’s such a good read and I really enjoyed it - a lot. Cinder is such a unique book, it’s unlike anything I’ve read before. The only thing, well.. the only 2 things that I didn’t like about this book was that; the first couple of chapters was dead boring and it took me a few days to get to a point where the book really drew me in and amazed me to no end; and the fact that the book was so incredibly predictable. That ruined the book a bit for me, and that is why I “only” gave it a 4-. But like I said, it’s a really good read and I absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on the second book in this series!

I’m not going to lie, when I started reading Unwind I didn’t think I would live to see the day where I got through this book - it took me nearly two whole weeks and a lot of frustrated thoughts to get through it. That, however, does not mean it’s not a good book or that I didn’t enjoy it - because it is a good book and I did in fact enjoy it. However, it wasn’t the book that I wanted to read at that time so I tried to rush through it as fast as I could so I could get to the book that I actually wanted to read - which, sadly, made me lose a bit of interest in it and it took me a long time to get to a point where I could actually think ‘This is such a good book and I can’t wait to find out what happens next!’ But eventually I did get to that point, and after that it took me 2 hours to get through the second half of the book.
Unwind is such a unique book, I’ve never read something quite like this before and, I don’t know if you followed me on twitter while I read it, but like I said - the whole idea of a world where people can actually have their kids killed by just signing a piece of paper is just… Ugh, it’s a horrifying thought! And I’ve never felt so uncomfortable reading a book as I did reading Unwind - this book is so disturbing! But it’s a really good read, and I do planning on continuing this series! ...more
