I am a fan of her work so whenever any new book comes out from her creative mind always want to read as fast as possible to see if it is a good read or not. My expectations are actually high in wanting it to be an amazing read! My first taste of Alyssa’s writing came sometime in 2011 with Beckoning Light and later as well reading its follow-up Perilous Light. Both of these novels were, of course, amazing in The Afterglow Trilogy. About some time later discovered Alyssa planned to write another series to be known as The Crescent Chronicles. As you may know bloggers are usually connected to Online Book Tour companies so had a chance to read and review the first book through a tour company that I am connected to. Since had read two books thus far in The Afterglow Trilogy had left a big impression on me was excited to read more from Alyssa! Flight (The Crescent Chronicles #1) is where expectations came in with being a fan of an author. It was when learned that sometime s you get let down expecting a mind-blowing book but get a ok one in its place. Despite not loving one of Alyssa’s novels was not about to fear reading future novels by her. So yet again when it came out that Alyssa was releasing a new series that was away from the Young Adult or Paranormal genre but instead of the Adult Contemporary scene then had to at least give it a chance.
Derailed happened to be a novel that could proudly say was what Alyssa Rose Ivy usually does best and that is write winning novels. Molly Sander is a small town young woman who has left her hometown of Clayton Falls for law school in Boston for some time now but when her fiance commits suicide unexpectedly she is forced to return to Clayton Falls to reevaluate her life and what she wants now. Alyssa Rose Ivy’s Derailed is a novel that has so many wonderful life truths and messages in the background with romance at its center that actually makes an awesome combination. Ben Matthews who happens to be Molly’s high school sweetheart and greets her back again shows us that regret can really help us to realize how our self-destructive behavior can lead us to lose our loved ones. In Molly it becomes easy to understand that our own decisions don’t affect people but people themselves make their own decisions. It’s not just a novel of redemption but of learning to stick to the good in life and learning to just move on toward newer and perhaps better things.
Derailed is a book that yes do recommend is sweetly romantic and is very profound. Here's to another winning novel! Overall: Amazing read! Genre: Contemporary Romance, Adult

In The Devil's Kitchen Simon and Miriam attempt to survive in different surroundings from their previous lives without losing hope. Mana and Neil now reunited are out trying to rescue Miriam and Simon from their horrendous fates. Yet, danger looms dangerously everywhere especially with a new increase in consumption of a very nasty tonic by the Pearson Company.
Alison DeLuca have by now realized what sets her writing apart and that is when you read whole passages no matter if they are not filled with great secrets or incredible occurrences is still filled with interesting moments. She just knows how to always keep the story going and adds fully to each of her books. It is a great quality to be found in an author. So much so that consider Alison DeLuca my favorite author as of recently. One of my favorites and glad First Rule Publicity introduced me to her work.
The Devil's Kitchen brings Simon, Miriam, and Neil's adventures to a close from the evil of The Cantwells. Yet it isn't the end since there is more! More in The Lamplighter's Special which would see a return to Lampala. Exciting most definitely! Overall: Amazing read! Genre: Steampunk, Adventure(less)

The Nightwatchman Express when signed up for this Online Book Tour promised to have a stamp of Steampunk as well.
Later once began reading The Night Watchman Express knew with certainty had made a magnificent decision. Alison DeLuca twirls to vibrant life the life of young Miriam Pearson a millionaire’s daughter who soon loses her father. Her new guardians turn out to be greedy for her inheritance. They also bring along with them their son named Simon and Simon’s friend Neil. While Neil is nice the same doesn't apply to Simon. Simon and Miriam’s animosity soon surfaces adding to Miriam’s mounting new limitations to her privileged life. Good things don’t stay horrible for long with the arrival of Mana Postulate whose Miriam’s new governess.
Honestly of all the books out there The Night Watchman Express is perfectly marketed as a Steampunk adventure. It is most definitely a story of adventure with some very three-dimensional characters that are almost like they could be written out of real life. The characters because of that are extraordinary in engaging. Miriam is a favorite that grows and evolves. Simon is another favorite with his intelligent mind. Neil too with a kind manner he always holds. Finally there is Mana who is a firm but elegant governess.
The Crown Phoenix series is a new favorite one! While hardly touches on any increasingly High Fantasy elements there are small glimmers of it. But no what makes it stand out is that we get a definite Gothic Steampunk adventure vibe from it. Recommended alright for readers who like something new. Overall: Amazing read! Genre: Steampunk, Adventure(less)

Again we find Junco in more adventures and entangled in new missions. Junco managed to save Tier's life and also managed to become a team member of the avians. Junco and Tier have had their time together but now she has to return to return to fighting and wiping out threats. The latest of which is securing the rest of the Seven Siblings in an attempt to save the avian race.
Flight has some of the characters that we have seen previously in Fledge such as Ashur, Isten, and Lucan. Lucan more of which helps a lot since there are secrets he's keeping. While J.A. hints at some future romantic tension as a reader don't see it being something would love to see. Lucan js an alright character but he's more of a serious guy and rather Junco and Tier. Tier in my opinion still is and will always remain the guy that feel Junco should be with. There is only one other guy that was finally introduced in this book that think would be perfect and that's Gideon. He's a very capable fighter and so sweet. He apparently also seems to be someone from Junco's past when she was still working for Rural Republic. J. A. had several down memory lane moments between Gideon and Junco that were supposedly dreams of Junco that were what said before were adorable. There is a more human Junco Coot that wish so much to see more of. Gideon is one character that quickly becomes a favorite! Overall: Amazing read! Genre: Science Fiction, Romance(less)

The problem now is that Tier is seen as an avian traitor in his world and she is slpit apart from him. The only way to save him from death because of his treason is to fight in some battles to the death that almost mirror The Hunger Games.
Fledge really becomes even more bloody ad full of action than thought the I AM JUST JUNCO series could get. Junco has to cut throats and slaughter avians who seem very bloodthirsty themselves. Avians seem to like that people have the potential to be fierce warriors much like Junco so she's seen as a goddess. So we see throughout others who are weaker and therfore hated. In this respect feel Fledge is a strong novel so we see that the weak don't survive setting apart the avian world as genuinely apart from humanity. Moving on to the characters, we see Junco has quite the growth of male attention from so many corner such as Ashur, (Tier's best friend), Lucan, and Kush. I am a fan of Tier and through and through so much of the time all the other guys passed through my head. Fledge surprises a lot so Flight should come as very anticipated by readers of the I AM JUST JUNCO series! Overall: Amazing read! Genre: Science Fiction, Roamnce(less)

Many soon become fond of her except Mayor Mudpie Melic, Karin Kainotophia, and Delilah Dudgeon who are provoked by KOD (The Keeper of darkness)’s insects to hate and mistrust the radiance of Tilda Pinkerton. Tilda crash-landing on Ooleeoo must remember quickly her lost memories before KOD destroys the galaxies entirely. Good thing far off in the Sombrero galaxy (Hat Galaxy) Randy Rogue is searching for Tilda to help her.
The Adventures of Tilda Pinkerton (Book 1: Crash-Landing on Ooleeoo) is a unique book with a whimsical nature to it that often than not is full of rhyme. Angela Shelton creates a new world for readers of all ages that will immerse a reader greatly. Things to note are the characters are as follow:
3) Full of childish optimism so well identified to Middle-Grade
The Adventures of Tilda Pinkerton therefore comes out being a bubbly fun adventure read. Readers should be lucky to have this book gem available to them. Overall: Amazing read! Genre: Fantasy, Middle-Grade

In Angelkiller, they weren't exactly warm to Mason's cell but eventually as in this book they aren't stony. As with Mason's cell, we get to see their pasts. Jaelon who was once a slave is later taken into the angelic conflict of The Army and The Enemy. Malthusan a knight that seems to hold feelings for the knight's leaders Jaelon. Finally, Populus who is the voice of reason of the knights and just as intrigued with technology as Martin. Traitor Angel still continues to switch between different character perspectives to better push the story. H. David Blalock so far has done a fabulous job.
With his second novel in the Angelkiller Triad, Traitor Angel, he has Mason and his cell still investigating who Andrael in the schemes of The Enemy. So, throughout Traitor Angel, we have a lot of building action where we are further introduced to even more characters. One thing is certain the conflict between The Enemy and The Army as it escalates is moving beyond Virtual Reality but into a place of higher stakes.
One important new character is Andrew Nicholson who seems to catch the eye of Meeker. While having read Angelkiller know for a fact that Meeker and Overguard are involved, so it would be a very messy thing there. Even so, as a reader actually excited to read more concerning Meeker and Andrew Nicholson or at the very least more about Nicholson.
Angelkiller introduced me to H. David Blaclock's writing and his Angelkiller Triad Trilogy, so now Traitor Angel has only increased my fanatic drive for The Angelkiller Triad Trilogy all the more! As a reader you'll want to make yourself familiar with this trilogy. Overall: Touching read Genre: Fantasy, Speculative Fiction

She may have had everything under control for so long but as of recently she has totally lost it. She’s not to blame after all. She has lived a life of being forced to assassinate many, many people in the coldest fashions. By now Junco has become undisturbed by killing for her human government. Human government have to say because in the world of I AM JUST JUNCO avians are a species that are winged humans seen as aliens. The government that she has listed to so far though has crossed a line she is set on making them pay. Unfortunately just as, she is setting out to do just that, Tier, an elite avian military officer, shows up professing the chance of a lifetime to tell Junco how deep the lies go told to her by the Rural Republic. Things definitely get dicey quick.
Clutch what really found refreshing from a lot of novels out in the world is that it has a healthy dose of foul-mouthing language from our main characters which mean Junco. Too many readers maybe as soon as mentioned this would be put off right about now but you shouldn't. The foul-mouthing is in good sync with who Junco is as a person so it almost becomes a trademark and source of humor. While Clutch happened to have moments of romance what found surprising was how well it was managed to an equal to its Science Fiction elements. Tier, the avian military officer, happens to be Junco's main love interest in Clutch and he sure can hold someone's attention. Something else to find in Clutch would be its action/suspense by that mean there are many matters of shooting and explosions. Its a book for that reason with a fast, fast pace. Clutch would be a book that recommend in so many ways for having to offer so much what with some of the best rogue characters that have ever come across and the fact that once your in the zone of reading it you''ll find you have no regrets over beginning the book.
J.A. Huss is building a far more different realm of Science Fiction Romance. A genuine book lover (me included) has to applaud this. Overall: Amazing read! Genre: Science Fiction, Romance
