Because of that, I believe this review will not be as well structured. Cuz, guys, that is all I can frickin think about. Nothing else really comes to my mind. But I will try to be as coherent as possible. Oh and and if you haven't figured it out already, I really enjoyed reading The Golden Lily.
In the beginning, things were a tinchy winchy bit slow for me. I was expecting it to start up with the ending of Bloodlines as that was another OMG moment. But they didn't, oh well. It was quite slow paced yet the events were still interesting as a whole. Though, when things picked up, they really picked up. Dude, I'm all for the action and the roller coaster moments. And we did get them, and they were good. Gotta hand it to Sydney she nearly always knows exactly what to do.
Talking about Sydney, she's well,... Sydney. The same ol' alchemist that has her mission of do-gooding. I love this girl. Even now, she doesn't fail to upset me. I love how she loves to help everyone but yet she knows her limits and definitely doesn't let anyone walk all over her. You go girl!
Oh and you guys know Adrian right? He doesn't let anyone come in the way, especially when it comes to Sydney. Like, a knight in shinning armour. So yeah, imagine that! He's so hot and I looooooooove him. This guy just makes me LOL. You'll think that everyone will realise his ulterior motives you know. For us readers, it is an obvious hit right. And don't you think it's just so so cute! I have so much love for my Adrian!
And then I have so much love for Richelle! For giving us with exactly with what we've been eagerly waiting for. Though, now I'm really unsure with how the storyline will follow. Why did I read this book so soon! Arghhh. Having to wait a whole year for the next book, will I be able to do that? I don't think so.
Another interesting installment from Elizabeth Lorraine. The Dark Prince continues its adventures as Katrina and the chosen five travel to America.
TheAnother interesting installment from Elizabeth Lorraine. The Dark Prince continues its adventures as Katrina and the chosen five travel to America.
The same urgency and thrill from the other books is still found in this book. Katrina continues to be the strong and lively character as she guides and supports her friends and family. I enjoy reading about her character because her presence in the story and the way she sees the world is truly fascinating.
Though the historical fiction was captivating and in depth with the history of the vampires, it wasn't something that appealed to me. Although, I definitely believe others will be very interested in this.
The vivid descriptions and the way Elizabeth Loraine writes is as if I could feel the action taking place. The plot was very consuming with the odd twists and turns it had me wanting to read more. I wonder if there's going to be another book? Hope so! ...more

However, KatriAs soon as I got reading The Protectors I was thrilled to see how the book started off with Quinn and Katrina. I was always Team Quinn. However, Katrina is deeply in love with Damien. Although he is a decent guy and all, I stand by my preference of Quinn. It is nice though, to see how Damien’s and Katrina’s love develops and deepens as the story continues.
While reading the book I realised that there was many characters and also new characters are also being introduced. It was hard to keeping up but I really liked the unique names each character had. It was nice seeing how their personalities grew.
In The Protectors there’s more action, thrill and suspense than the previous book, Katrina: The Beginning. I was really focused and this kept me wanting to read more as I just had to know how the book was going to end off. I don’t want to give any spoilers but there is a lot going on in this book. Long journeys only result in yearning, battles have to be fought and Vampires need to carry on living.
A definite page turner. I can't wait to read the book that follows. ...more

It most definitely differs from all the other vampire novels seeing as in this one a girl- Lenah changes from a vampire into a human being.
A very enjoyable read. It’s packed with love, loss and humour. I loved how Lenah sees the world and how everything seems to affect her. Like, I don’t know why but I particularly found it amusing when she spoke to a closed door ordering it to ‘reveal yourself’.
I really connected with Tony. His character is jolly, fun and simply the best. It was clear that Lenah felt nothing for him. As their friendship grew each day, it seemed to blossom as they become the best of friends.
At first, I didn’t like Justin. There was just something about him I can’t put a finger on. But then, as his character starts to take more dominance, revealing his personality and his feeling towards Lenah, I really enjoyed reading about him more and more. He is understanding, caring and he does sound kinda hot
I didn’t expect the ending to have an end. It was shocking! I don’t want to give anything away but I can’t seem to register what happened. It was a definite change of events, considering how the very last pages left my mouth gaping. I loved reading this book. It was worth the time! ...more

EscpWith this final installment of the Evernight series, I expected so much from Afterlife so I really really hoped the ending would be to my liking. Escpecially, seeing how the events in Hourglass had left me hanging. With Bianca being a WRAITH and VAMPIRE it was pretty hard to figure how everything would work out.
As soon as I started reading Afterlife I was instantly absorbed into book. Time was ticking away as Balthazar and Bianca were awaiting for the sun to set as that was the time Lucas would fully awaken. When Lucas came into being, there was struggle. I was reaaaallly shocked. It was scary the way Lucas was acting. He was so not himself so there was a lot of action there.
New decisions, ideas and thoughts have to be taken now. Lucas faces his mother not knowing whether she will accept him the way he is. A lot of breathtaking drama and fierce action passes by with many choices yet to make. I don't want to give anything away but Lucas's mum is a right little meanie! I have definetly grown to dislike her. A lot.
Lucas and Bianca are forced to then seek refuge to an enemy. I really did not expect this one coming. It was very strange and funny I have to admit though. Seeing as another side was portaryed of the enemy. Living under thier roof they fight they way around trying to live their life and uncover the most deadliest of secrets.
I really enjoyed the way the whole story was going. Personally, I didn't really like the ending I wanted a few adjustments. Thought, it was a fantastic finish to the series. Remarkable!...more

I liked how Claudia Gray got Balthazar and Claudia together. If she decided for them to stay together I don't think I would have minded. I like Balthazar and his personality definitly. He cares and loves Bianca but the sad thing is she will never feel the same way.
One thing I disliked about the book is the ghosts or shall I say 'wraiths' I prefer saying ghosts. So, Bianca is a ghost AND a vampire? I didn't like that idea as much. The whole idea of it and how she was born didn't really click with me.
All in all, I still enjoyed reading this book and finished it quite quickly also. I do want to read the next book, Hourglass. :)...more

There isn't much to say except I like it to the extent that I just about want to read the next book. But I have to say, I loved the romance between Jack and Schuyler. I think that's the only reason I want to carry on reading this series. To see what happens and if they both work out. One thing I really didn't like is the cover. It didn't appeal to me at all. At least when you look at it you know it's a vampire book. And, I love vampires. A lot. (:...more

This book definitely differentiates against all the other vampire books. It's like reading a book from a different time, not very modern at all. That what I though was great about it.
Elizabeth creates a world of action, romance and thrill. You wouldn't guess what will happen next. It always keeps you wanting to read more. It was a wonder I finished reading this book in a matter of hours.
I always thought that there will be a happily ever after with Quinn and Katrina. I was shocked when she started having feelings for Damien. Although Damien is nice in his own way, I prefer Quinn. Quinn's character is very alluring and when I read about his looks I can only conclude to say he is hot :)
I found this book to be quite similar to Vampire Diaries so if you love The Vampire Diaries. This book should definitely be on your to-read list.
I enjoyed reading this book so I really cannot wait to start reading the next book in the series! A gripping read.

All I can say was thay this book is a BIG HIT! I swear down, it is a awesome book I loved it! Its full of action, romance, suspence- everything.
I loved the starting of the book. Especially because Claire thought a guy was hot other than Shane and Micheal. It just seemed so much nicer. But I stick with the fact that Shane and Claire are made for each other.
Claire killed a Vampire inself defence. Humans get killed all the time and they don't make a big adeal out of it. But,Amelia is so mean! I cannot believe she kept Claire awake for such a long time as punishment to put up the town barries back up again. Blah Blah Blah. At least she wasn't in that other guys place boy has he done trouble.
Everyone is losing their memoreies (even vampires) because the machine is malfunctioning. Micheal acted as if he didnt know anyone even Eve and Shane.
OMG! Shane was the worst. He completley didn't know Claire at all! Like she was a nobody. It was so sad. He thought that they just hooked up. But it was nice seeing Claire's and Shane's romance build up again from the very begining. LOL! Even Micheal and Eve... they were so cute.
What I really hated was the agony Shane felt realising his mum and sister died also how they died and that his Dad was turned into a Vampire.
I was dieing! I just have to say it Frank Collins dies! I know you might think hes a baddy but when your read this book you see another caring person who sacrificed himself for the town. Shane was heart broken. There were a few lines which he said which really hit me.
"It isn't that he's gone. My problem is that I knew my dad. I was afraid of him, and then I wanted to please him, andthen I hated him because I thought he was just a hundred percent evil, especially after he turnedvamp. But he wasn't. I was wrong about him. He came to help. And when he had to, he died so wecould make it through this." They all looked at him silently. Shane sat down on the steps. "The point is," he said, "it's too late for me to really love him now. That's what hurts."
OMG I CRIED! real actual tears. This was so sad for Shane. I mean seriously, those words just touched my heart. I love Shane. He's suffering so much. ):
Rachel Caine's cliffhanger are simply the best you know why? Myrin knows how to restore the Town's boundaries (they got destroyed in the fight)he tells Claire. Myrin always wanted to put a brain as the brain will always do the job. Care to guess who's brain he used?
Too big a secret to give away. Like I said. This a definate MUST READ! (:...more

I just love Jack but sometimes I don't but whatever his character is a heartthrob. Go Schuyler and Jack! I adore their meetings that I re-read them a lot. Melissa sure knows how to get you teeth stuck into it ;)
It was such a beautiful read but also sad. There was lots of things going on so it was interesting. I was shocked to see that new characters came in but the old characters were enjoyable too. Oh yeah, there's also a PIRATE. It's so random in a book like this.
I don't like to mention spoilers but I just have to spill this out... Jack proposed to Schuyler and i was like OMG!
The book was split into parts with differnt points of view. Schuyler, Mimi then finally Demings. I really connect with Schuyler's character so I enjoyed reading her part the most escpecially the parts with her and Jack! Mimi is exciting to read about with her friendship with Oliver. Also, she simply trys to push all her feelings for Kingsley out of her mind but shes not successful as then she's back to her revenge for Jack. The only bad thing about the book is Demings. I mean she okay and all but it's like she's taking the place of Bliss.
I hate waiting. Need to read the next book! ...more

Seriously, when I started reading this book I didn't even think it'll be about vampires. I had no idea at all. It all came as a shock to me! When Bianca bit Lucas for the very first time that was the only time I found out. What a twist.
As soon as Lucas is introduced it's obvious Bianca and him are going to get together. Lucas is great. I love his character and the way Gray describes him totally spels out h.o.t! Bianca and Lucas arr so great together but then another twist is introduced.
I don't think I'm ever going to get enough of the twists. They're so awesome and make the book a whole lot more interesting. Okay so then we find out that Lucas is an enemy of vampires! Everything gets out of hand but yet so exciting.
Evernight is full of suspence and action. I can't wait to read the next book, Stargazer!
