At first thought, knowing it was Middle Grade...well, I didn't know what to think. I'm so glad I picked up this book. If I didn't, I would've missed out on a great book :) It drew you in at the very first sentence! All of it was beautifully written and I'm just simply astounded!

OMG!!!! This is my new favorite!! I love the Angels! There were a lot of twists and turns and it was beautifully written. I fell in love with all the characters! It was just simply amazing I have nothing else to say :)
Cons: I should not have read "Peeks to the next Book" Worst mistake ever! And I couldn't wait for the sequel before...gosh! I should not have done that. Now it'll be impossible to wait :P

This was a little slow compared to the others but, like always, the Immortals series always surprises me and is still one of my favorites. I can see in this third installment that things are definitely going to take a turn and I can't wait to see what plays out.
Cons: It was slow getting to the climax, which was practically the last chapter. The resolution was about two pages long, out of a 330 page book. I know there have been bad reviews for this, but sometimes, in a series, there is going to be one that's slow and its main reason is to lead into the next one and to answer questions that were left unanswered without having to wait till the last installment to finally know what happened in the first. If that makes sense :)
Sorry, but anyone who thinks that there needs to be a lot of suspense in every book or every installment in a series, obviously gets bored way too easily and is impatient. Sometimes, as in this case, the suspense wasn't until the last chapter, but that doesn't make the book a bad read. A lot of classics are written that way. I'm just glad I didn't stop in the middle and decide to take it back to the library. I would've missed out on a great read.

OMG...I'm was completely floored at how wonderfully well written this book was. The best "hook" I've read in any book. The story-line is so original! I loved it. That's all I have to say :)
Cons: It ended too early and that teaser in the back...I will not, I repeat, WILL NOT, CAN NOT wait for the sequel!!!!

I didn't think I would like dystopian books until I read Matched. It was so amazing! I really couldn't put this one down guys! Now, I think I'll be more open to dystopian. Cannot wait for the sequel.
Cons: ...well...despite being 366 pages...it ended too early :) That's about it.

It had horror but without a lot of gore which was perfect for me. It was full of suspense and I was on the edge of my seat constantly! I cried near the ending and (Spoiler) I always cry when the characters love interest dies or, like in Matched by Ally Condie (Spoiler), gets kidnapped or imprisoned. I just hate that. I always cry! It's a definite read.

I loved it! But, it made me cry when Ever was losing Damen : ' ( Roman was very mysterious and it totally shocked me near the ending. It was fast-paced and sometimes I was apprehensive about turning the page and reading on, afraid something awful was going to happen.
Cons: It's like on the of the characters said, Ever trusts the wrong people. She even admitted that usually her gut was right but she never followed it...and then bad things happen. She's too naive but I'm guessing she'll progress out of that during the rest of the series.

It was amazing! From the beginning I knew this was another Vampire book...it wasn't. This is a whole different take in YA fiction. Ever sees auras, reads minds, sees ghosts, and it's all so cool! It's so romantic as well! I love the scenes with Ever and Damen.
Cons: It was a little weird when she described the Gay guy Miles messing with his Sidekick. I thought it was something yucky but it was actually some sort of phone! That was kind of funny. Another things is the mean girl, Stacia, drops a few F-bombs but other than that, it was descent considering the language. It ended so quickly!

I first read this book at Walmart. While my mom shopped, I'd go to the teen section and read. I loved the cover. I really like how it's something different; no Vampires! The way the author describe Laurel getting her wings was totally unique. It really played as a movie in my head, but things didn't really start going till around the middle of the book. It was a great read anyway.
Con: I'm getting really tired of the love triangles, especially with one girl having to choose between two guys. I already made up my mind that I want her to be with Tamini.

It was a little more boring compared to the first book. It was still very good, however. There were lot more surprises than the last book had and those surprises seemed to change the dynamic of everything.
Cons: Clary didn't change. She was still mean. She's really mean to Isabelle because she is jealous of her, she evens says so. "'Let him die, you mean.' Clary jerked her arm out of Isabelle's grip. 'Of course that's what you think. You think everyone who isn't just like you is better off dead anyway.'" That is one example among many others. So many times did I want to tell her off! Someone offered her a tissue on a train when she was crying and she yelled at him, "What do you think you're looking at, jerk?!"
Also, with my experience with editing, I'm seeing more mistakes than I used to. Every book has a few mistakes, I know, but I noticed sentences that could've been worded better and sentences that didn't need to be in there at all. It just goes to show that even a professional editor misses a lot of things and that even the best selling books aren't written as well as they could be.

It's by far my favorite book. It's so different and everything is easy to envision. A lot of twists and turns and there's always something awesome happening! Using runes, blades that can heal, demons and creatures hiding right in front of our eyes, and the use of the Nephilim is so unique. I've never read so much action in a book. There were a lot of hilarious moments with Jace and Simon. This book has everything. Romance, Horror, Comedy. A must read.
Cons: I hated Clary. She was so mean, naive, arrogant. Let me explain. 1) Every time she got mad (which every little thing set her off) she wanted to hurt someone; slap, kick, you name it. When she got mad at Jace for something he said that, for some reason, she didn't like, she slapped him. I would never slap my boyfriend, I don't care how mad I am at him. 2) She thinks she knows everything there is to know about Shadowhunters, Demons, and the Circle after only a day and when someone tries to tell her otherwise, she says they're lying and that they're wrong. She knows better, they don't even though they lived it their whole lives. 3) At Magnus' party, Clary found out that Simon turned into a rat and she immediately blamed Isabelle even though it wasn't her fault and it was only an accident. Simon turned himself into a rat and Isabelle actually tried to stop him, but she was called a B-word by Clary. Another reason why she's arrogant is because she doesn't realize that she's putting everyone else in danger because she runs off and they have to go after her.

I loved it! It was so funny and I could really relate to Evie. I love the originality and humor. Vampires and Werewolves were so different than what I've read in other books. It's a great read.
Cons: The only thing I didn't really like was that, on the cover, Evie looked too serious, as if she had no emotion. However in the book she was happy and cheerful.

I really loved this book! The fallen angel concept turned out better than I thought it would be. Unlike some books, I really couldn't guess who the bad guy was. It was really suspenseful and a must-read for anyone who loves YA.
Cons: This has nothing to do with the book, it's something inside it. Near the beginning, they were having a sex education class. I'm opposed to those in schools anyway. I think that conversation should be between the parents and kids (Or maybe even a doctor) not the school coach. It just seems to me like they're encouraging more than educating. It started I guess because some parents aren't involved, but kids whose parents are involved should be able to opt-out. I know I would walk right out of that class, especially when they started asking kids what attracted them about the opposite sex and what not. That's personal and private, am I wrong? Are they going to teach which position you should be in next? Are they already?
