Need more exclamation marks… out of the park!!!! Fate Succumbs is an engrossing, fast-paced, cleverly tied-up finale to a wonderful trilogy. In fact, it’s my favorite book of the three. After receiving the book as an e-arc, I thought I’d take a wee nose at it before I started work for the day. Well… that wee nose turned into me devouring the entire book in hours. As we catch up with Scout and Liam after his rescue of her in book two, we journey into a road-trip with a destination like no other - Scout’s life-altering fight for a new order among the shifters and seers. Without giving anything away, I’ll say as always Scout’s hilarious wit had me laughing out loud. As funny as the narrative is, I also found my eyes blurring with tears a number of times. Tammy Blackwell has a gift for writing credible, funny, poignant and truly authentic dialogue. With amazing dialogue on top of an intelligent and action-packed plot, sizzling chemistry between our awesome heroine and a certain shifter, and the promise of a spin-off series (yay!), Fate Succumbs delivers a finale that more than lives up to its brilliant predecessors. ...more

I'm actually pretty blown away by 'Easy'. This wasn't your average 'boy meets girl' story at all. Unbelievably well-written, 'Easy' kicks ass for so many reasons. Dealing with subject matter that is raw and stark, Tammara Webber effortlessly balances gritty reality with touching sensitivity. The dialogue is perfect (it makes me go all fangirl) and every moment between Lucas and Jacqueline is so authentic I defy anyone not to feel some kind of attachment to these two characters. The romance plays out perfectly, from their first awkward yet sexually charged encounters through to the taut, spine-tinglingly delicious journey of revelations between them. Although the romance is fantastic, I think what makes 'Easy' so special is Webber's ability to highlight an important message by weaving it through both characters’ story - a necessity considering the subject but done with beautiful subtlety.
By far one of the best books in its genre, if not the best, 'Easy' slips into the top of my favorites pile without any difficulty. In fact, it was 'incredibly easy' to put it there.

She’s a funny, twisted, loyal, brave, snarky, teenager always handy with the quick quips, curse words and some turns of phrase I will definitely be adopting. Jayne drew me into the story, and then the friendship between her and Tony led me further down the path, until I eventually hit the crux of the story. From there on I was beguiled by the magic, the action, the darkness that is often balanced out by Jayne’s sense of levity, and of course the awesome relationships between the group of runaways. From middle to end, Elle Casey takes the reader on a pure fantasy adventure filled with all manner of forest creatures, paranormal beings and fairy tale monsters. My favourite part of the whole story is when Jayne discovers the tree hugging. If you’ve read the book you’ll know what I’m talking about. I had a stupid-ass grin on my face through the entire scene, it was so charmingly funny.
Anyhoo, a fantastic start to a truly magical adventure with a truly unique and three dimensional heroine! Can’t wait to read book two! ...more
