A kick-butt bike-building latino chick who can both wield and ride lightning into the past, what's not to love? Evy's hesitance and imperfections made her perfect in a lot of ways for me. The tension, and magnetism, between her and the Roman warrior Constantine is smoking hot (and for adults only). While it ended a bit abruptly for me with a few too many loose ends waiting for another book (and I'm one who doesn't mind an open-ended book normally), I still enjoyed it well enough that I will purchase and read the next novel in the series. I look forward to it!(less)

If I didn't know this book was indie, well, I wouldn't have known. From the first shocking page, I was hooked. I've been bored with YA lately and I've read one too many books about psychics and mind readers so I didn't expect to get past page one. Wow was I surprised. Not only did I get past page one, but I looked forward to getting on my treadmill so I could read more, and stayed up late into the night turning pages. It's rare for a book to captivate me like that. Not only is the writing captivating and clean, the characters are compelling and complex.(less)

The most interesting vampire/shifter world since sparkly vampires, and it blows the sparklies away! The characters tugged at my heart and the story tugged at my imagination in the very best way. I am dying to read more in this series and cannot wait for Ms. Brown to release the first full-length book set in this world. This is going on my must-read list of the year!(less)

Delirium is the first in a serial about a man who collects people's life force when their time is up and they have ceased to be a productive member of society with a valuable future. It promises to be an outstanding series, one that I will be waiting on with bated breath. This is everything the movie 'In Time' should have been, and then some. It would not surprise me in the least if Hollywood comes calling Susan on this one. (less)

The connection between the two characters is bone deep and resonates beautifully. I will never forget this novel. I can't say too much or I will give away the plot, which is mysterious and filled with fantastic ups and downs. Fans of Denise Grover Swank's CHOSEN series will love this. (less)

I loved the glimpse of a post-apocalyptic world that we get to see in this one, and how Althea responds to it. I didn't think the author could top the first one, I loved it that much, but she did and then some. (less)

While gritty and bold, it still manages to bestow a vulnerability that makes it's characters corporeal and sympathetic. This novels brings dragons back into the spotlight in a brilliant way. Mr. Arenson has made a fan out of me, which is no easy feat. I can hardly wait to read the next novel. (less)

From the very first page it grabs you with its originality and compelling writing then it simply refuses to let go. When you consider that this was first published in 1912, it will blow your mind how innovative and forward thinking it is. Edgar was a bit of a genius of his time for certain. It was nice to read a book where the author wasn't focused on all the dos and don'ts of the current industry, but instead on telling a great story. (less)
