In fact it is probably the reason she just got fired from her job, but the band watching found it entertaining and believe she is the perfect candidate to be the new assistant to lead singer of Stage Dive, Jimmy. Jimmy doesn't think she will last longer than any of the rest, of course he doesn't go about making her feel welcome or curb his tempered tongue. Lena doesn't back down though but when her feelings begin to become something other than boss/employee she knows it is time to get out of dodge. When Jimmy finds out why she is wanting to leave, he thwarts it in a highly entertaining and innovative way.

Her mentor and boss is giving Sydney the opportunity to handle the PR for Lightnin' an up and coming band about to launch their breakout album and tour. Sydney's enthusiasm is undeniable, but when she makes her first introduction to the band it is not met with the response she had expected.
Lead singer Rick Trajean isn't sure he wants a neophyte handling the PR for his band, it doesn't help that he is overwhelmingly attracted to her either. When Sydney goes about proving she is the best person for the job and open to the bands feedback, Rick knows it is only a matter of time before they succumb to their feelings for one another. Rick knows this is not a one time event, but Sydney has walls that have been in place for so long he has to work hard to break through. When a malicious reporter though begins slinging filth, Rick knows if something is not done about it he will lose Sydney.

After losing her father, Mackenzie finds herself at ground zero and having to pull herself up and make a life for herself. Maybe the key to it all is not thinking, it is in that moment Mackenzie applies for a job as a private chef on tour with a rock band. As frightened as she is when she gets the job, Mackenzie throws her heart into it.
The first time she meets lead singer Dean Johnson she thinks he hates her. She doesn't know the first thing about Dean but as she begins to find out more her whole opinion of him changes. If Mackenzie can move on from the past she may just find something special in front of her.
I loved Dean, he skyrocketed to favorite hero within meeting him. I wasn't sure about Mackenzie initially she kind of is a venter in the beginning but you get why, she is so afraid and had been so withdrawn with in herself she could barely function. I found myself wrapped up in a beautiful story and eagerly looking forward to more books from this talented author.(less)

It wasn't bad enough that their short time together ended with a heated argument, it was the next time she saw him that put the nail in the coffin that sealed his fate. Kat couldn't forgive him, she didn't need his pity or help.
The tour for rock group Tear Asunder is done and all of them back, including Ream. Ream makes it clear to Kat he is going nowhere and her time for running from him is over. Slowly he gains her trust and becomes her shoulder, but when his past returns it seems like everything is working against them and tearing them apart.
I had not read the first book, but buying it now. This was a riveting read, I couldn't put it down. Ream is a pure alpha bad boy, but there is also a vulnerable quality to him that you are wanting to get to know. Kat is a terrific heroine, she is tough, sarcastic, and perfectly matched with Ream. High praise for Overwhelmed by You.(less)

When her neighbor invites her to a party where rock band Stage Dive are in attendance, she agrees to go needing to get out of depressing circumstances. Anne hadn't planned on having drummer Mal Ericson eavesdropping on her or the fact that he professes she is now his girl. Anne blows it off until she comes home the next day and finds Mal moved in, he wants a pretend girlfriend and although sex is not on the table, kissing and fondling are a much needed necessity to get people to see they are a real fake couple.
Loved this, it has a deeper story but for the most part Mal who lives in his own land of Mal keeps Anne on her toes. She doesn't realize she does the same for him, his offbeat sense of humor and declarations are often hilarious. Not sure which of of three is my absolute favorite but right now #2 and #3 are tied for first place.(less)

Rumor has it Mary Lou is planning to marry the most boring man in town, but when Suzie sees a spark when Mary Lou is looking at a poster of country music star Nash Rhodes, Suzie sets the wheels in motion hoping they are a perfect match.
Sweet Story, I am always a sucker for makeover stories and Mary Lou is not quite the white swan at the end but she is herself which makes her irresistible to Nash. Looks to be a really fun series.(less)

Hi...moreWith his own demons to confront, Seth James has started anew trying to prove to his judgmental father that he knows what he is doing with his life. His first big step is moving out and booking gigs with his band. Seth doesn't expect his new neighbor Alice Harrison to blow his mind though. Seth knows she is about to become something special in his life, but Alice has walls erected so high that even he is not sure he can break them down.
Alice has lived her life carefully guarding her secrets, but after another incident of her need for adrenaline left her sister blind Alice is trying to change. Even though her sister does not blame her, Alice feels it deep within and when her father reengages in her life, Alice finds herself spiraling but Seth seems determined to conquer every hurdle she is up against.
Powerful story. Alice is a wounded soul and her pain is so raw throughout the story. Trust doesn't come easily for her and she opens that tiny door and lets Seth slip in. Seth tries his best to prove to her that he is worthy of every ounce of trust she gives him, but outside interference has a way of complicating a new relationship and they both will need to decide if they are willing to weather the storm.(less)

Bumping her head and finding the lead singer, Rob Burns at her rescue though is more than she comprehend.
What starts with a full access passes and a whispered word of wanting to talk later, turns to a weekend with Rob. Sabrina and Rob click on all cylinders, but will it only be the weekend or is there a chance at something more.
Entertaining story. I felt like there was a bit of a teaser to this, the story could have developed more in several places. This is a light read, the chemistry is there between the characters and I thought overall well written, it just need a bit of fill in the blanks. (less)

However, Molly is from it, she is the round peg in a house full of square ones while she should have her fair up in a tizzy, hers is blue and has piercings. Having just been through the wedding from hell for her sister, Molly has had enough. Packing her bags impulsively, Molly flees Georgia for Seattle.
She figured she would take her chances, but when Molly gets a job as a PA for the rock band Black Laden, she is elated. She did not expect to be attracted to Reid though, the lead singer who seems to always have a blonde skanky woman by his side. She sure has heck did not plan on the attraction to, Brantley, the lead of the opening band either. Torn between raging hormones, she knows both are not commitment type me, but either is she for that matter. Between her neurotic family, a determined Reid who is sending mixed signals, and Brantley claiming he wants to be friends but his flirtation says something altogether, Molly is the epitome of a Southern Hot Mess.
I liked Molly she is pure spitfire. That being said, she is a big ole mess. I thought this was a lot of fun, it had surprising turns and had you laughing until the end. I know who I am rooting for and there is a cliffhanger that will keep you watching your calendar for the release book. (less)

His latest dance with death has left him in the care of rehab and now seeing a therapist. With a chip on his shoulder he sees Melody again, they had met before at his best friend's wedding, this time though he would rather be anywhere else but spending time with her.
Melody is not a therapist by trade but as a favor she agrees to see Tarry until her dad gets back and takes over his care. She sees something in Tarry that reminds her of the husband she lost, but she has something to live for, her daughter. Wanting to give Tarry a spark they become friends of sorts after their sessions end. Tarry realizes he does have something he wants to work towards, being the man that Melody would want in her life.
A wicked passionate story ensues. This one had me in tears. I was rooting for Tarry, he is not quite likable at first, big chip on his shoulder but you see him grow so much that you just want to hug him. Melody is a rock, but she is dealing with moving on from her late husband even after five years. There are hiccups along the way but it is so worth the ride until the very end.(less)

He has a few standards, but generally anyone will do. Until he walks into a tattoo shop co-owned by Allie Landon. It is not just her voice or beauty, he can't get Allie out of his mind. Justin tried his usual dazzle but Allie did not fall for it and when he sees Allie in a vulnerable moment, he realizes she is worth doing something he has never done before. Take the time to get to know the one women who is quickly burrowing her way into his thoughts.
Seductive, sensual, and so good. If you like a book with a bad boy who seems to be unchangeable, until he falls hard, this is the book for you. Had three of my favorite plots, tattoos, bad boys, and rock star. First time new author for me and I was thrilled with this story, look forward to reading more fro Jean Haus.(less)

If his only expectation was to handle a few randy customers, he is in for an upset when he sees his sister’s best friend on stage. Summer Maitland is dynamic and brings Chase to his knees, but has no interest in starting something that will go nowhere. When a customer gets out of hand though, Chase steps in and announces he is her new bodyguard.
Summer has long had a crush on Chase, but he seems to have classified her in choir girl/friend status. Summer is anything but, sure she still goes to church on Sunday, but there is a lot more to her and she takes a brazen approach in getting what she wants and what she wants is Chase.

Her best friend Dylan "Dee" feels it is time to give her a much needed nudge. With a natural talent for music, Zoe ends up in a band with Dee and his friend, a band that is quickly gaining traction and has Zoe being noticed by Will Strickland, the bass player of The Stabs.
Typically Will has no problem getting a woman, but he is bored of his reputation as a bad boy who takes every women who blinks to bed. He notices Zoe long before she makes a name for herself and when her band The Devil's Tattoo gets a following, he pushes for the band to tour with them. Hoping he will get a chance to spend time with Zoe, but some of his tactics are not working and Zoe is even more fascinating than he thought.
Excellent story. Zoe has baggage and it is not revealed right away which I loved, you go to know more about her character and not how she had evolved over the last two years. Will is a swoon worthy hunk and he is out of his depth with Zoe, he fumbles, mucks it up and can't seem to find an even balance to get close enough to express his interest. Highly recommend. (less)
