I also loved the book because the author put lots of detail into the book. First of all my favorite part was when Hiccup and Alvin were sword fighting in a cave and Hiccup found out that he was left handed. I liked this part because it was an adventure and suspense part of the book. This part also surprised me because at fist he wasn't good at sword fighting then he switches hands and he is now great at sword fighting. This was also a mystery part because someone booby trapped the cave, but you'll have to read the book to find out what the booby trap is and if they will survive it. On the other hand the main character of the book is Hiccup. Hiccup is the son of the leader of the tribe and he is trying to live up to his legacy. His best friend is Fishlegs. They both have have lazy, scared dragons. However I liked the way the author drew pictures in the book . They showed you what the the people looked like and what events just happened . It added lots of detail to the book. I also liked how the author made the cover look like Hiccup's journal. Furthermore I would rate this book a nine because like I said earlier , it was hilarious and suspenseful all in one. I also liked it because it had a lot of detail in it . There were some parts of the book that were boring. Overall it was an awesome book. I hope you can read this hilarious book. I also hope you laugh as hard as I did while reading the book. If you like this book then read the whole series. Have fun reading! ...more
This book was awesome! I couldn't put the book down. Out of all of my books that I have this year this book would be the best. I loved this book beca This book was awesome! I couldn't put the book down. Out of all of my books that I have this year this book would be the best. I loved this book because it started out as a realistic fiction book then towards the end of the book it turned into a science fiction book. My favorite part of the book was when Jimbo traveled in some type of teleporter. I loved this part because this was the part where the book turned to the genre of science fiction. This part was also amusing to me because it showed that there was life on another plant thousands of light-years away. On the other hand, the main reason I chose this book was from a recommendation by one of my friends. He said he couldn't put the book down either . I am just so glad that I listened to his recommendation. I was really surprised when Jimbo and Charlie found out that there history and art teachers were aliens. This part was also really freaky. It freaked me out because the whole time there teachers have just been undercover aliens watching them. If I were them I would have run home to my mommy. However this book reminded me of a movie I once watched called Independence Day. It was about aliens taking over the Earth. The book reminded me of this movie because they both have aliens in them. The only difference between the book and the movie is that instead of a whole army trying to take down the aliens in the movie , only three kids took down the aliens in the book. Overall I liked the ending because it wrapped up the story really nicely. It basically summarized the whole book in the chapter. What I don't like about other books is that there endings are ongoing and they don't summarize the story .This was one of the reasons I loved this book so much. I hope you can read this amazing book. I hope you like the book as much as I did ! Have fun reding the book Boom by Mark Haddon! ...more

It had comedy Marvin Redpost Kidnapped at birth was an amazing thrill ride. The book was amazing, because it had everything a reader wants in a book. It had comedy suspense and over all it was just an awesome book. If I had to rate it I would give it a solid 9 because it was an amazing book , but some parts in the book weren't real interesting. My favorite part was when Marvin called the King of Shampoon and the call attendant picked up the phone and she said her name was "Jennifer Duchess of Bathwater". I thought that this was the most hilarious part of the book. It was so funny because Marvin actually believed her. The main character of the book is Marvin Redpost. He is a kid that doesn't think that he fits in his family because everyone in his family has brown hair with brown eyes and he has red hair with blue eyes. That is the reason why when the king started to look for his lost son Marvin thinks he is the prince. I wish that the book went on longer because I wanted to see if the king ever found his son. It made you want to write to the author and tell him to make the book longer. That was the only problem about the book.
The book reminded me of a TV show I once watched. It was about famous celebrities trying to find more about their past. Both the show and the book are about trying to find out their past.
I hope you can read this book and have as much fun reading it as I did. I also hope that it makes you laugh until your stomach hurts. Have fun reading!

Will Chet save his friends and will his friends trust him? Read I Survived the shark attacks of 1916 and find out. I was moved by when Chet tried to save his friends from the shark. I liked the way the author put pictures in the book to put more detail in the story and so you could better understand the story. The main character of the book would have to be Chet. He is a kid that has never settled down in one place for very long and his parents left him to live with his uncle while his parents went to California. The genre of this book is nonfiction because it tells a true story , but the author wrote about made up characters to tell the story. I would say the theme of the book would be trust, because even though Chet's friends don't trust him he still tries to save them from the shark. The other theme of the book would be friendship, because Chet's friends were in trouble and since they were his friends he tried to save them from the shark. I would rate this book a solid ten because it was a super suspenceful book and and it always kept you wondering what would happen next. I didn't agree with the author putting the end of the story in the begining . It made the story very confusing. I wish that at the end of the book it told you what happened next to Chet. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did and I hope you can read the whole series. Have fun reading!...more

The author did a good job by putting pictures in the most important parts of the book. The pictures added a whole lot more detail into the book. First of all the main character is Greg. He is a regular middle school student with a lot of weird situations in his life. In this book he has even more crazy situations like raising an egg. On the other hand my favorite part was when Greg goes to a school lock-in and it turns out to be lame. I loved this part because in the lock-in Greg does some crazy and weird stuff, but you'll have to read the book to find out what Greg does and how he gets out of it. This part was one of the most hilarious parts in the book. Furthermore I liked the way the author put pictures in the book. They added a lot more detail to the story and they also looked like a a kid actually drew them. I also liked how he made the whole book look like a kid's diary. The one thing I didn't like about the book was that the story kind of skipped around. However I would rate this book a ten because like I said before it was hilarious. Some parts were boring , but overall I loved the book. The pictures were great and I truly think that this book is the best book in the diary of a wimpy kid series. In conclusion I would recommend this book to anyone who loves comedy and to people who just want to have a laugh. I hope you can get around to reading this book and to laugh as much as I did. Have fun reading!
