The reason I kept reading was I needed to know how there could possibly be 400 pages of this I was suprised that S.C. Stephens found a way to do it, that made me want to throw the book (of course I couldn't because then I'd break my Kindle, but trust me if I could I would). I have no idea how people could like this book Kiera was so heartless, thoughtless and inconsiderate and the worst was she kept making Kellan feel like trash when it was all her, she was the one who initiated ALL the sex, she was the one who was making it hard for him to NOT pursue her. I felt bad for Denny because he deserved better and I hated how Kiera acted towards him right from the start when he had to leave for his job for 2 months she made him feel like she should come first that she moved all the way to Seattle for him and that he was abandoning her. Then he has great news that he got promoted but he had to stay there and she could join him once her school was done in 2 years and she BREAKS UP with him REALLY!?!?!? How selfish could you be its 2 years and he said he would visit her and her him but no thats not good enough and she gives him the line "obviously your job is more important then me" COME ON get over yourself he is starting a carrer to support you and he is not allowed to do that. This is when all the cheating starts and of course she feels bad about it but then Denny comes home Leaves his job I might add for this piece of trash and takes a job that he hates and she gets mad that he gets called away so often and feels no remorse over the fact that he left a job he loved for her and is suffering in a crap ass job FOR HER. Now poor Kellan is in love with her and decides it would be best if he leaves becuase he can't stand watching Kiera and Denny being lovey? ? ?(which they aren't really because her mind is always on Kellan, but she has to string Denny along)and Kiera is going to have none of that because she "needs" him so she goes all flirty on him and comming on to him and Kellan is saying no we shouldn't and tries pushing away but he loves her and it is to hard for him to keep saying no so he gives in the have sex and she feels sick to her stomach right after making Kellan feel worse and blames him UGH REALLY ?!?!? SEE WHAT I AM SAYING this is an entire book of this!
Now you wanna know my FAVORITE part of the book it is Kiera getting kicked in the head :) an then waking up in a hospital and BOTH guys breaking up with her I was like YES! ! ! ! ! Victory! All though I hated what was going on before she got kicked and I HATED that she just stod there I would have been yelling and screaming but hey Kiera has no real emotion. Ugh but both guys also before they break up were apologizing to HER!! WHY??? She was the bitch not them she should have been up front with Denny it happens I guess where someone can love to people at once but if they do they should be up front about it no strining people around. In the end Kiera gets Kellan claiming she was scared of the passion between them and that Denny was like a safety blanket I don't know but I have NO CLUE how there possibly could be a second book and now a third WTF REALLY?!?!?!?!
I have no clue if I am going to read Effortless because description says she is determined to learn from her mistakes and not to inflict pain on Kellan BUT. . . OMG there is a BUT . . . life offers new challenges for every relationship . . . Because the first book's challenges weren't enough . . . and when Kiera's love is put to the ultimate test . . . lol she doesn't know how to love and we already know she fails miserably in relationships. . . will it survive? . . . Yeah this book isn't sounding to promising to me I think she is going to fail but I really do not feel like reading another book about someone so heartless. (less)

I feel as if this series could have been so much better than what it was I wanted to give this book up but everytime I was about to I decided it is the last book I can do this just put it down walk away for a bit and start again later. I give it 2 stars because there were some good scenes and I liked the idea on which Samantha Young was going with and she made Caia a really strong female heroine who doesn't need a man to fight for her and she kept having to save her mate Lucien even though he is very strong also. I loved Ryder and Jae chemistry they just work together and I love how Ryder out smarted Jae to get her back.
I expected so much more from this book then I got :( (less)

Whitney has been a tom-boy her whole life and football is big part of it until her father dies of a heart attack while playing their regular Sunday game at the park. After her father past she hated football and hated Jason even more for not being there for her when she needed her best friend they haven't talked for 2 years until Whitney decides that is time for her to try out for the football and even then he is just plain rude. But once she tries out she is hands down the best Quarterback they have but the coach won't allow her to be on the team because she is a girl. So Whitney decides to take matters into her own hands and tries out for another school and is put on the team but everyone at that school does not like her and is making her stay there impossible and when she loses her first game it becomes worse then before until she starts winning then she starts getting noticed and getting a big fan base especially lots of guys interested in her. All Whitney wanted to do was play football and get her life back and she does in more ways then she expected.(less)

So I am hoping the next book won't be as slow moving. But for an opening book it was good and I did like Maddox and Ashlyn's story.(less)

Nothing happened until the very end and what did happen was nothing exciting like all the previous books. This book just seemed like a filler book, like Charlaine Harris just wrote it because she didn't know what else to make the characters to do and it left a lot of unanswered questions for her next couple books to be based on.(less)

Then there is the finale of the book a big fight scene and that was just a jumbled mess and out of the 6 of them there she is the one that almost dies the others as her decription only have cuts a bruises, so I wonder who the weak link is. I wonder how she has lived this long especially considering there is a bounty out on her from the Hunters council who are supposed to be helping her find out what happened to her parents.
Now for the love intrests in this book Alec and Wade I don't feel the connection between her and Alec and I find her and Wade have a really strong connection but she fights it because she says it makes her evil to some extent but all I've seen from Wade is nothing but good IDK but I am team Wade.(less)

I didn't like this book as much as the first book and I would have given it 4 stars but I did not like the pointless sections in the book, if all that wasn't in the book it would have been much shorter and OODLES better. I never knew someone could be as mean and conniving as Brooke, the things she went through to get Graham away from Emma was jut evil, and who knew that Reid would come to his senses at the end to help Emma out. I'm kinda excited to read his story because he really does have somthing hidden underneath everything. I am happy that Graham and Emma made it after everything they had to endure they both deserve to be happy.(less)

Emma and Mr. Honor just jumped into this relationship barely know eachother and said I love you WAY to soon. There was WAY to much drama and Emma left Mr. Honor 4 times I believe it was crazy, and some parts in this book did remind me of 50 Shades of Grey not gonna lie.(less)

I'm gonna say it like it is and say I really didn't like Nikki she just wasn't believeable to me, she acted as if she was the only girl who ever got hurt by a guy and came out of it as a cold heartless bitch, I'm sorry but no. Then there was Luis, ok, I liked him but I didn't at the same time he was nothing like his brothers and was to nice for my taste and how people believed he was in the gang I have no clue. Now to talk about the little twist that made me say "huh" and Alex explained it "she had to do what she had to do" I was like "What!?!?!? . . . why did she have to do it" and then that is all you hear about it of course Luis has his panty's in a twist about it, I mean I would to, especially they way he found out but I mean common I wanna know why she had to do what she had to do. lol (less)

And Tony's sister Mel did nothing to help the situation but poison eachother about the other I think she got a thrill out of it. I would recommend this book to people who love drama.(less)

It was one of those books that didn't keep my intrest for a long period of time and I had to put down and read somthing else for a bit then come back to. This book was mostly about danciong and family there was so much dancing it was crazy and it was about 12 sisters who have deal with the loss of their mother and a father who always relied on his to deal with his daughters so he was never a solid figure in their life. The girls have to mourn the loss of their mother for a year and that means no dancing, no outside, no curtains open, all clocks have to be set at the time of death and only allowed to wear black. The girls are going crazy without dancing their father has locked himself in his study and after the funeral leaves for war without saying goodbye (girls finally accept that their father doesn't love them), then one day they find a secret passage to their room that leads to a silver forest that leads to a pavilion witha dancing floor and a strange man named Mr. Keeper he tells them that they can return every night to dance if they wish and they accept. The fathers returns and he tries to make ammends and finds ways to bend the rules so the girls can go out and he arranges to have their dancing slippers mended every day . Azalea learns that Mr. Keeper is not a nice guy and starts to threaten her that she has to find a way to get him free before Christmas or bad stuff is going to go down starting with her Mother's soul which he has , and Azalea can't tell anyone because if she does she has trouble breathing and faints. See the story sounds really good but it is just so slow going and there is just only so much dancing I can read about before I get bored. (less)

I was attracted to Tavik even though half the time he wore a helmet and was a barbarian (lol) but he had a sweet side which left me wanting more and it even left Naomi wanting more even though she was forced to marry him (which is very painful) and had technically become his prisoner. Naomi was transported to Tavik's world when she found a Unicorn horn in her grandfathers stuff and she was cleaning it when she pricked her finger and teleported to where ever there is, the village she landed in was being pilaged and her first incounter with a person was the man who was going to rape her (makes a girl feel at home really, lol). Agatha helped her fight off the man by hitting him on the head with a frying pan and she tried to help her escape the town but couldn't so instead she lead her to the castle where she got her to change into a dress for a disguise which led everyone to believe she was the lady of the castle and forced to marry Tavik because it sealed the deal that he was know the ruler of the kingdom. Along the way to her new home she had an encounter with I can't remember what they are called all I remember was laughing my ass off to the discreption of what they were, and once she got into her new chambers I laughed even harder to her introduction to my favorite character Mr. Squibbles a talking mouse when I read that part everyone looked at me funny because I was laughing so hard I was crying. She eventually finds her way home but when she gets home she realizes it doesn't feel like home anymore and Mr. Squibbles comes to help her find a way back because Tavik needs her and the Unicorns need her to fight off the God Errilol who is killing unicorns. Agatha wants her to fight Errilol and thinks the best way to do it is to go invisible because he won't see her when she goes to stab him in the heart only to be invisible she has to be Naked and when she goes to do the deed yeah he is in for a treat because he can see her lol so she has to fight the guy Naked. I must say if you have nothing else to read, read this book because honestly it is pretty good and I laughed so much. And if you are still reluctant do it for Mr. squibbles the smart ass mouse!(less)
