Can I just say how refreshing this book was! I loved every minute of it! I read it in less then 24 hours, I didn’t want to put it down! I found myself talking all about the book to my boyfriend tonight over dinner!
The book has a great mix of drama, angst, slight romance. It twists & turns, gives a great ending, but still leaves you hanging for more! I feel that Riley is a relatable character, even though she is 17. She’s a strong willed and somewhat of a teen, but she’d make a good role model. It’s great to see a novel with some fresh ideas. It’s set in future (2018) Georgia, the world isn’t quite like we know it today. Only the rich have cars, smoke cigarettes (at $100 a packet!) and have re-animated corpses following around to do their dirty work, basically slaves. Everyday people make way any way they can. Teens go to school 3 nights a week in abandoned buildings. Demons reside, in 5 different scales. Of course, there is then the Demon Trappers, Demon Slayers & the Reality TV Show “Demonland!”
This book will be on my ”Must read book of the year’ list. If you have the chance to read it, do so!...more
It’s over! It’s really over! *cries*. I loved this series, which is funny. I didn’t start reading it until mid to late last year. I was a little sickIt’s over! It’s really over! *cries*. I loved this series, which is funny. I didn’t start reading it until mid to late last year. I was a little sick of everyone going on about it. I remember thinking “another Twilight series“. I caved & bought the first 3 books and after a month or two of them sitting on the shelf, I read them, and loved them!
I loved this book, and I loved the ending. Mid way through the book I thought “Is that the killer?” then decided against it, only to find out, it was! Go me! I’m usually not very good at picking up hints!
I love Dimitri & Rose together. I do. But I’m totally in love with Adrian. Do you ever get that way, fall in love with a fictional character? I was crying in the end with what happened to Adrian. Makes me wish the story was real so I could hunt him down & just love him!
I’m not sure what else to say, I guess i’m still processing a lot. I devoured the book in a few hours & I think I may need to give it a re-read to let it sink in more. However, I recommend you head out & read this series!!...more

I was lent the first two books in this series last year by a friend & read them as fast as humanly possible. Not really a fan of ‘Angel’ books, I knew my friend had good taste in books & boy was she right. This series is a MUST READ!
I was pleasantly surprised when I noticed the book in K-mart on Thursday! It was released Thursday but I find not all shops put out there shipments on the date it’s released & I can’t justify buying a book for $25 when I can wait a week and get it for $14. I was so excited, I bought it, made my way to the food court & sat and read for an hour whilst waiting for my boyfriend. Yes, that shows just how excited I was to read this book!
While, I don’t remember the previous books being this smut-tastic, something I don’t mind in the slightest, I really enjoyed seeing Raphael & Elena’s relationship progress. It was interesting to see how much her life has changed being back in the ‘everyday world’. I don’t want to write too much and spoil thing for people, but I really enjoyed how family was brought into this book in multiple of ways.
One of the things I really enjoy in this series are the smaller characters in this book. Raphael’s Seven (Illium!!), the fellow Archangels, the Guild Hunters. The world is built up of so many interesting people!...more
