ah. i counted six males-be it a werewolf or a vampire or even a tiger or whatever-who are interested in Sookie. i find it annoying at times because there are too many of them at the same times. nevertheless, i like Eric better than any of the others-Bill, Sam, Alcide, Calvin, Quinn.
this book is part okay, part just meh, and part boring. i still doesnt like vampires, werewolves or whatever supernatural creatures that are shaped and desribed as something endearing(?)..i dont even know anymore.
this book is part of a series-i just realised that, how funny- and no, i would not like to read any other book in this series.
2.5 stars and i find a funny quote.
"Eri moved the broom experimentally and made an attempt to sweep the glass into the pan while it lay in the middle of the floor. Of course, the pan slid away. Eric scowled."
there was one thing that i kept thinking while reading this book : everyone's a jerk! i dont know how to explain this but, oh my God! kev's so-calledthere was one thing that i kept thinking while reading this book : everyone's a jerk! i dont know how to explain this but, oh my God! kev's so-called best friend is the biggest jerk, Kev's crush is immature, the other students are just plain mean! i just felt like i need to give them class on, oh i dont know, everything maybe. starting with attitude, coz i kid you not, they dont have that in their bones.
first thing came to mind after finishing this book : omg are you kidding me?! this book is killing me,no, scratch that. this book killed me, and not in a good way. i am dead. my soul is gone. the cliche, the too tidy ending, the horrible horrible feeling i had while reading this book, i can only give it 2.5 stars.
very entertaining. this is not my preferred genre, i must say, so i really have trouble understanding this book properly. or maybe, my English is justvery entertaining. this is not my preferred genre, i must say, so i really have trouble understanding this book properly. or maybe, my English is just that bad. but, this book is funny and it makes a fun read.
that doesnt mean i am warmed to this kind of genre. i just cant.
hmm, i dont know what to say. i like it but cant say it's my favourite. (Contengan Jalanan is my ultimate favourite book by Hlovate.) my judgment is ihmm, i dont know what to say. i like it but cant say it's my favourite. (Contengan Jalanan is my ultimate favourite book by Hlovate.) my judgment is influenced by internal factors i'm afraid. i dont know why but lately i find it really really hard for me to read any Malay book and the fact that I read this book because I want to start another book is totally not helping. I give it 4 stars because 1) I cant relate to the feeling of falling in love, rejected in love, liking someone yada yada, 2) I cant understand kenapa the female protagonist can easily spills her tears over a guy(continuation to point no 1), and 3) acuan cerita Hlovate mmg sama ka? ke saya yg salah tafsir?
all in all, this book is actually a great one kepada sesiapa yg suka bacaan yg santai tetapi bermakna. cuma saya je yg mengada-ngada tak boleh nak hadam kisah cinta dalam novel melayu (mungkin ada yg melihat kisah cinta itu bukanlah satu tumpuan utama, tapi bagi saya, kisah cinta itulah yg memainkan peranan besar utk menggerakkan novel ini). sebab tu jadi 4 bintang....more

More people should get their hands on this book or they will miss such a great execution on a very depressing topic.
My heart goes out to those who are suffering from the effect of wars or for those who are in wars, not only the Palestinians but the Syrians, the Rohingyas and every other people concerned as well. Not a day goes by without a pray been sent to them all.
This book makes me think how far would I go to actually help these unfortunate people. It is so heartbreaking to think how youth nowadays would rebel against their parents or teachers to get something that they want, but those children and youth in Palestin are battling every single day to stay alive while some of them are striving to just be with their family, as seen in Palestine's(the protagonist) story. She is really a girl with a very big, strong heart who would do anything to do one thing that she have set her heart to, that is meeting her father.
4.5 stars and highly recommended for those who would like to have more insight about the unresolved war in Palestine....more
