I've been familiar with this book ever since my high school days. This title was kind of popular so almost everyone wanted to read this. Unfortunately, during those times of buying, borrowing, and talking about Tuesdays with Morrie, I was the odd one who didn't like reading rising-to-fame/talk-of-the-town books. IDK, I guess it was a culture I personally developed. Don't ever ask me the magic word 'why' coz honestly, even I had no idea. Anyways, that was before. Just leave the past behind so no one's gonna get confused, sad or angry whatsoever. :PP
I decided to finally read this book after so many years of knowing just the title of it. My main reason was just out-of-curiosity-thingy And to be honest, I wasn't disappointed nor felt sorry for myself for wasting my time on reading this. For me, this is a good read. I enjoyed it and at the same time, it inspired me.
I really thought this sucks. Well, since it's kind of popular I already figured out that there would be some honestly, I don't understand you people who wouldn't appreciate this book. call me shallow-minded IFDC!! It's mah opinion anyway.
I wouldn't feel ashamed admitting that reading this made me cry. This book taught me to appreciate life, to understand death and the importance of developing strong bonds with people. Morrie is one of those ideal professors who wouldn't just teach you lessons by means of words, but also with experiences and compassion. (less)

And then, after I finished reading it....
Probably the BEST fantasy book I've ever read. I'm proud I read this book, this one is truly REMARKABLE in many aspects. The ONLY book that made me cry like this...
I thought I'd never cry the way I cried when I'd read The Book Thief and The Hunger Games.
You know, for someone who sticks from the very first book until the last one of the HP series, you cannot help but love some of the characters to the bottom of your heart. And in my case, I grew very fond of the Weasley Twins. They're my favorite characters because they never failed to crack me up with their sarcastic humor and with their slightly demented personalities. But the brilliant author had just.... Oh, J.K. Rowling! Why oh why did you do that to the twins?!
Read at your own risk, coz I have the tendency to spill the beans when it comes to good books.
*cough* Well, the first thing the author did that really set my teeth on edge's this— she cut off one of George's ear! I didn't know if I should scream, throw the book then set it on fire or just weep in a dark corner of my room.
As with Fred... (view spoiler)[she killed him. SHE FREAKIN' KILLED FRED!!! (burst into tears) (hide spoiler)] Seriously, while I was on that very shocking scene, I couldn't stop my tears from falling that I actually went into the bathroom and there, I cried like my boyfriend had just broken up with me. Fortunately I don't have a boyfriend and it was only a book so after a while, I felt okay and continued my reading. But still, I couldn't help being teary-eyed. When I went to bed that night, I started crying again, remembering Fred, because I really liked him and because I also felt sad for the Weasleys, especially Molly and oh, George. How could he live a normal life without his beloved twin?!
Until now, when I think about what happened to Fred, and to Remus, Tonks, Dobby, Mad-eye, Collins and to many other wizards who fought and died in this book, I still feel a pang in my chest. It's just so sad...
...and oh, Professor Snape!! Gosh, I never thought I'd cry when he died!! This is some of the things I love about J.K., she kills interesting characters. *^*
Oh well, I was just thankful when I finally read the ending. I really loved it. Somehow, I also understand why JK killed so many characters here, meaning, there's no beauty in any war and not everyone actually lived to tell the story. Still, The Harry Potter book series will surely remain in my heart forever. A series that is for me, a legend. :) (less)

Okay, as irritating as usual, this Dan Brown's book was brilliant. I mean it. I wouldn't have thought I'd enjoy reading this to the point that I decided to give it a 5-star rating! I even enjoyed it more than the The Da Vinci Code. Yes, I'm serious. For one thing, the twist at the end of the book's definitely shocking and tear-jerking. It's really sad.
Sad yet amazing. Overrated figures of speech yet brilliant. Awful events yet life changing.

I could say that The Book Thief is the finest, yes, the BEST book I've ever read as far as my reading history goes. This book is a mind blowing story that deals with Family, Friendship, Sacrifice, Compassion, Politics, WWII, heil Hitler, Nightmares, Deaths, books and thievery. Yeah, the title says it so. But what made this book a remarkable one for me is the fact that, well, The book Thief is the very first title that really broke my heart! T.T What a very heartbreaking story, Markus Zusak! I did cry a river of tears for Rudy and Liesel's cute story and how their love for each other ended so tragic. Damn! T_T
Rudy's “How about a kiss, Saumensch?” really tickled my heart :)
Spoiler Alert!!!!! -----> Oh, Death the Narrator loves that, I swear! :DD Though not in the way that would irritate one's reading enjoyment.
The Book Thief is indeed a MUST read book!! <3(less)
