Gosh!!!! What's wrong with you Daniel Handler A.K.A. Lemony Snicket?!! This is supposed to be THE END right?! but wth??!! this is just another f****** cliffhanger!!
I HATE THIS BOOK. DESERVES A 1 STAR.
~I HATE THIS BOOK because every mystery that is being unfolded turns out to be another mystery that gives your head another terrible aching. ~I HATE THIS BOOK because it's quite confusing to read the last book if you haven't had read all the previous 12 books. which happens to be my case ~I HATE THIS BOOK because almost all the characters here are pathetic and stupid!!!!! (well, except for the Baudelaire orphans, their parents, Kit and the treacherous villain Count Olaf). The level of their stupidity is sickening! People who are easily fooled by appearance, senseless words and lies of those greedy and insane individuals. ~I HATE THIS BOOK because the wonderful author had written so many confusing sentences in the beginning of most of every chapter. ~I HATE THIS BOOK because the characters of Ismael and other castaways ruined my eagerness and joy while reading the book. ~I HATE THIS BOOK because Kit Snicket died and Olaf's death is... kind of sympathetic!! He's a real bad-ass you know!! I shouldn't 've felt that kind of emotion!! It's a no-no!! ~I HATE THIS BOOK because everything seems uncertain. ~I HATE THIS BOOK because it is merely inappropriate to be called 'THE END' of a series that actually spanned a total of 13 books yet still remained a book of mystery.
I STILL LOVE AND ADORE THIS BOOK. DESERVES A +2 STAR
~LOVE IT because I still adore the brilliance of the Baudelaire siblings. ~LOVE IT because the Baudelaire siblings remained creative, noble, and amazing. ~LOVE IT because I finally learned something about the past of the Baudelaire's parents. Some mysteries eventually solved. well, some. not almost. ~LOVE IT because as usual, it contains mind-breaking phrases from the author. ~LOVE IT because Kit Snicket is different from the other volunteers, she's not stupid and pathetic. though I still feel sad about her. ~LOVE IT because Violet, Klaus and Sunny became parents to a child they named Beatrice, taken from their mother's name. ~LOVE IT because the book has its moral side of the story. ~LOVE IT because despite all the misadventures and many series of unfortunate events, the three children remained strong, clever, noble, and valiant. They always support one another.
All in all, still a good read. The Baudelaire siblings will always be my favorite book characters ever!!

Damn. This book is really, really good. I still can't get over with it untill now! So freakin' badass!! Hunger games fanatics/Dystopian hardcore will surely love this. Wait, I think I'm loving this more than The Hunger Games. Seriously. :DD(less)

To start off, I'd like to describe my beloved Perseus 'Percy' Jackson, the dyslexic, hyperactive, twelve-year old hero in the story. He's the son of one of the BigThree in Greek mythology, Old seaweed er... I mean, Poseidon, the God of Sea. He's brave, smart, loyal, a li'l bit sarcastic, impulsive, and sometimes naive (which's kinda cute). That's why I love his character! Well, almost all the characters here are interesting!
This kinda reminds me of Harry Potter in some way. Percy was like Harry, both trying to live a normal life but since they're actually extraordinary kids, they caused unexpected troubles. Annabeth Chase, just like Hermione, was the brainiac one. She was the daughter of Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom and Battle Strategies. And Grover, a satyr and Percy's protector and closest friend, was somehow similar to Ron Weasley (though not physically of course!). Both reliable best-friends-forever.
Okay, now that I finally read it, I felt weird just thinking 'bout the movie version which I even watched on big screen. Everything's so different!! But I both love this book and its movie adaptation. Logan Lerman was very, very handsome! I'm happy he's gotten the role as Percy Jackson. :D And I like Alexandria too as Annabeth and the funny Grover guy.

And check this out
Oh yeah, finally another movie!! ~kyaa!! Can't wait! But believe me, I'm actually preparing myself now for the, you know, changes in the story when it comes out on big screen in 2013.
Anyway, holy Zeus! I love this book! It's very entertaining, air-gasping monster-slashing and KABOOOM scenes, and well, the usual hilarity of dear sir Rick Riordan. :) And of course, the many citation about Greek mythology. Point. Point. Point!
I love Logan and Alexandria together so I was like, jumping around like an idiot when I learned that I'm going to see them again as my favorite pair, Percy and Annabeth! They finally got some, well, 'sort of' chessy/sweet moments here in the book. I hope I'd get to see those in the movie.
And this book also introduces Tyson. Oh, he's so cute despite being a giant cyclops. And there's also Clarisse on the quest- a big, cranky bully whose greatest dream's to pulverize Percy into tiny pieces. She was Ares' daughter, the god of war. NOW YOU KNOW.
Again, a MUST READ book for everyone! Not just kids. (less)

Don't blame me coz even I can't blame my own self. This book was too wonderful!
There's a lot of fresh-from-the-oven characters that has made this story groovier and more enjoyable to read. Like Annabeth, I also like Thalia.. She's a daughter of Zeus and thought to be Percy's... well, it's either his best friend or worse enemy. Thankfully, she only loves to argue with him and not to the point of wanting to pulverize him, though she sometimes feels like doing (They're friends anyway). There's also Zoe, a brave huntress who never gets along well with Thalia, and the siblings Binca and Nico di Angelo. Oh, I like Nico. He's so adorable and talkative. Though I felt bad for him by the end of this book. I love the book because I was drooling over Percy and Annabeth the whole time. I love how Percy worries for Annabeth (Yeah, he only cares about rescuing her) and the way he gets jealous or mad over the Luke-and-Annabeth thingy.
The story also introduces some of the major gods that weren't mentioned err, described properly in the first book. Artemis was one of my favorite goddesses, I guess. This maiden was the goddess of hunt and Apollo's twin. And speaking of the de-- Apollo, oh my gods... he was so, so HoooooooooooT! And I don't mean bcoz he's the sun god but he's actually a real hottie. Apollo was also one of the most amusing characters in PJ series especially when he makes up awful haikus, which kinda weird since he's also the god of poetry. Aphrodite, on the other hand was, well, she's indeed very beautiful, even Percy forgot his name by just staring at the perfect face of this goddess of love. But she's too obssessed with her looks I found her funny. I was also LMHO when she finally had a conversation with Percy.
Aprodite: "But it's been ages since we had a good tragic love story." Percy: "Whoa, first of all, I never said anything about love. Second, what's up with tragic?" Aprodite: "Love conquers all. Look at Helen and Paris. Did they let anything come between them?" Percy: "Didn't they start the trojan war and get thousands of people killed?"
One of my most favorite parts in the book was when Percy almost had a panic attack when he thought it was Annabeth who's been chosen by Artemis. Well, when you get to be a huntress and pledge yourself to Artemis, it only means that, dating is strictly prohibited for eternity. So, bye-bye boys! Thank the gods, it was (view spoiler)[punky Thalia (hide spoiler)] who took Zoe's place. Poor Percy, he'll never get to avoid the great prophecy.
As usual, the book contains many mysteries that will surely make you flip the pages like a hungry cyclops that craves for peanut butter.
All in all, an awesome book. Fantastic. You better read this, folks!(less)

And hey, are you a hardcore Percy-is-for-Annabeth-and-Annabeth's-for-Percy-only thingy? Well, prepare yourself for the trill because finally, FI-NA-LLY,(view spoiler)[Percy got an unexpected kiss from Annabeth! (hide spoiler)]
Anyway, I was frustrated with Percy when he met this Calypso girl. And there was also this mortal gal named Rachel Elizabeth Dare on the scene. That's why Annabeth got so cranky most of the time. I was so annoyed I feel like Annabeth and wanted to rate this book a 4-star rating but since she gave our hero a kiss, okay, that was already a plus 5 for me. :)
And oh, the battle between the demigods and Kronos army (at Camp half-blood) was so epic it reminded me of the movie Prince Caspian :DD (less)
I-I-I'm soo LOOOOOOVIIIIIIINGGGG this book!!! Oh my gods, this last installment of the Percy Jackson series is so...
Okay guys, I just wanna warn say that I'm going to spill a lot of beans here- yeah, talking about spoilers, plenty of them. I can't help it. I love the book as much as Cylopes love peanut butter.
Well, the The Last Olympian is a really, really great book. Truly remarkable.
I freakin' love...
<3 The battles. Percy, together with his co-demigods at Camp half-blood was so freakin' BADASS!! <3 Percy Jackson was invincible!! (Well, he took a dip in the River Styx to acquire the mark of Achilles, thus making himself invulnerable.) In short, hard to kill. <3 The Stoll brothers, they reminded me of the Weasley twins in the HP series... naughty! They always made me laugh. <3 Beckendorf and Silena. (Though I felt really, really sad when they both died). They could have made a fine couple. Whatta waste! <3 Rachel Elizabeth Dare became the oracle. Wow! <3 The 'Apollo cabin vs. Ares cabin' thingy. When they started a fight -a bunch of poetic show-offs against the cabin full of bulky warfreaks- alas, WWIII!! It was always a disaster, but hilarious! <3 Clarisse!! Gawds, she was a real D! Though a big stubborn, she fought like, You-want-death-well-come-on-show-me-what-you've-got-but-I'm-gonna-pulverize-you-still!! And wow, she's taken down a drakon which was this huge monster, single-handedly! She's awesome I came to like her a big deal. :D And hey, she's gotten herself a fine boyfriend, too!! Haha! <3 And finally, yeah, I mean finally, it becomes real! Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase as a couple! Hoooraaay! This book is a must read for those hardcore and loyal fans of the Perbeth pair. :)
I've been loving them since the first book (Logan and Alexandria looked good together! Yeah, the damn movie influenced me). But since their relationship back then (talking about the book) was nothing but Oh my gods, you're so annoying, and our parents hated each other so obviously we should be disliking each other too! I've always been looking forward for the development between the two. It was also one of the reasons why I love Perbeth, everything wasn't a rush. I think it took a third book to give hints of the possibilities that Percy might actually like Annabeth, a lot. :)
I kept my eyes on Annabeth. She nodded reluctantly. "All right. Get moving." Before I could lose my courage, I said, "Don't I get a kiss for luck? It's kind of a tradition, right?" I figured she would punch me. Instead, she drew her knife and stared at the army marching toward us. "Come back alive, Seaweed brain. Then we'll see."
Lol! That made my day! I almost wished I can slap Percy on the shoulder for that one! :DD
<3 And speaking of PercyxAnnabeth, one of my most favorite parts in the book was when Percy celebrated his sixteenth birthday. It was just so sweet!!
Annabeth (w/ the help of Tyson), made a blue cake (which he jokingly said was made of bricks and cement) that she and Percy ate together. After that, Percy thought about... confessing to Annabeth, sort of. :) Then she told him that she wasn't going to make anything easy for Percy and kissed him.
Then Clarisse and the gang abruptly ruined the moment, carried them to the Canoe lake and FLASH! They suddenly found themselves under the water. It was funny how they waited for the 'lovebirds' to come up from the water, not knowing that Percy can breathe underwater and that he and Annabeth were just sharing the 'best underwater kiss of all time'. :D
<3 And about the ending? Well, it's not a happily-ever-after kind of finale but everyone seemed so happy and at peace. So, I'm satisfied.
The Percy Jackson series is something you cannot help reading over and over again. That's how addictive, funny and brilliant the series is. (less)

...At least the latter's afraid of his guy (I'm telling you, she should feel that. The story's somewhat creepy), so I guess, she still had a normal functioning brain.
But since it's only the first book, no one can be sure of Nora's. :P (less)

And then, after I finished reading it....
Probably the BEST fantasy book I've ever read. I'm proud I read this book, this one is truly REMARKABLE in many aspects. The ONLY book that made me cry like this...
I thought I'd never cry the way I cried when I'd read The Book Thief and The Hunger Games.
You know, for someone who sticks from the very first book until the last one of the HP series, you cannot help but love some of the characters to the bottom of your heart. And in my case, I grew very fond of the Weasley Twins. They're my favorite characters because they never failed to crack me up with their sarcastic humor and with their slightly demented personalities. But the brilliant author had just.... Oh, J.K. Rowling! Why oh why did you do that to the twins?!
Read at your own risk, coz I have the tendency to spill the beans when it comes to good books.
*cough* Well, the first thing the author did that really set my teeth on edge's this— she cut off one of George's ear! I didn't know if I should scream, throw the book then set it on fire or just weep in a dark corner of my room.
As with Fred... (view spoiler)[she killed him. SHE FREAKIN' KILLED FRED!!! (burst into tears) (hide spoiler)] Seriously, while I was on that very shocking scene, I couldn't stop my tears from falling that I actually went into the bathroom and there, I cried like my boyfriend had just broken up with me. Fortunately I don't have a boyfriend and it was only a book so after a while, I felt okay and continued my reading. But still, I couldn't help being teary-eyed. When I went to bed that night, I started crying again, remembering Fred, because I really liked him and because I also felt sad for the Weasleys, especially Molly and oh, George. How could he live a normal life without his beloved twin?!
Until now, when I think about what happened to Fred, and to Remus, Tonks, Dobby, Mad-eye, Collins and to many other wizards who fought and died in this book, I still feel a pang in my chest. It's just so sad...
...and oh, Professor Snape!! Gosh, I never thought I'd cry when he died!! This is some of the things I love about J.K., she kills interesting characters. *^*
Oh well, I was just thankful when I finally read the ending. I really loved it. Somehow, I also understand why JK killed so many characters here, meaning, there's no beauty in any war and not everyone actually lived to tell the story. Still, The Harry Potter book series will surely remain in my heart forever. A series that is for me, a legend. :) (less)
