I picked this off amazon because both the ebook price was right (I either got it free or for $.99 on a sale). The summary intrigued me as I am having a bit of addiction to the 'new adult' genre. Chloe and Drake are drawn to each other even though neither was looking for a relationship. Both have horrific pasts of abuse and neglect, I would like to think their torn souls recognize this in each other and that is what draws them together. The only bad thing their was in this book was that I want the next book NOW! :)(less)

Bad Rep explores a girl's desire to fit in at college and the struggles between her reputation and her heart. Maysie first meets Jordan at the resturant were she gets her college job. Jordan and Maysie spark each other's interest and flirt shamelessly. But soon it becomes apparenetly that Jordan is actually the long time boyfriend of Maysie's Soritity's President. Even if they weren't dating, Maysie's interest betrays the sisterhood.
This story is riviting as Maysie gets drawn into a no win situation. Her reputation at her small college is in shreds. This is very much a New Adult novel and has some very explicit scenes. I recommend the read if you like mean girls and romance. It has all the good parts of the new adult genre.(less)

Ellie has had a hard life with a verbally abusive mother who hates her and low self esteem as a result. But Ellie and Gunner make the most beautiful love story. But it isn't just Isabella that he is drawn too. Miranda needs a safe place to stay and goes to stay at Ty's farm. Ty is a great character who is funny and irreverent but has HOT chemistry with Miranda. This is a great follow up to Letting Go. I loved how Van and Colt were also continued in this book. This series entwines to produce a great family of romances.(less)

This story unfolds as a mystery that keeps you reading. You feel and experience as Emma learns about her life and tries to find way through this strange new exsistence. Her parents don't exactly know what to do with this girl who can't even remember what she likes to eat. Emma is torn between trying to be what she once was and being who she feels is becoming.
I bought this book and read it in less than 24 hours. The story draws you in and and just never lets go. Shelly Crane does an amazing job making you swoon and cry at the same time. Mason is the sexiest sweetest person who is Emma's champion and only wants what is best for Emma. There was no way not to fall in love with him right along with Emma. I have no doubt this book will become a favorite.(less)

Without giving too much away, Sky is an incredibly sheltered girl who has begged her adopted mother to start public high school for her senior year. After a rather rotten first day, she happens to meet Holder after a trip to the grocery store. After a couple of chance meetings, Holder's intense emotional roller coaster confuses Sky yet attracts her at the same time. Holder does seem like he is playing with Sky in the beginning but once the story unfolds his emotions and intense feelings are explained.
I was already a huge fan of Colleen Hoover from the Slammed Series. I am so on a quest for a signed book. She has a way of writing raw realistic characters that climb inside your heart and live there a long time. She infuses the story with beautiful emotions and humor that always has me reading way past my bedtime. Hopeless is even better than the Slammed Series. I have no doubt that this will not only be picked up by a large publisher but I predict a movie for this one too. There is so much strong emotional content that gives you a roller coaster ride of emotions and plot twists. I do not want to give even a little bit of a spoiler away because this book must be experienced and savored. I highlighted so much of this book that I don't think there is any page without a note. I butterflying lived it.

She is in a rut but desperately reaching toward her dream to become a marine biologist and get off of the island (Sanibel, FL). She has a strange love/hate relationship with the small town bad boy Jackson Taylor. Jackson and Emma are like magnets that are pulled by an electrifying attraction. Emma feels that in order to achieve her dreams she has to stay as far away from Jackson as possible because he a playboy with a string of hearts broken all over the island. She doesn't want to be another notch on his bedpost despite the similarities and true understanding she feels from him. After a disastrous weekend to Orlando, Emma ends up leaving early with Jackson. On that truck ride home, Emma begins to open herself up to the possiblities that Jackson might not be what he appears. Jackson has a determination and loyality to show Emma how he really feels no matter what happens. This is a roller coaster of emotions and misunderstandings that continue to keep two stubborn people apart. But the passion and chemistry between Jackson and Emma is flammable and ignites the reader by literally keeping a slow burn that you can't put down. I read this in one setting and didn't want to put it down. I had to know what would happen between them.
Jackson is one hot book boyfriend and will stay with you long after you put the book down. Everyone needs a little passion and loyality like Jackson in their life. This is a must read and will be up there with the likes of Beautiful Disaster by Jaime McQuire, Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarrity, and Taking Chances by Molly McAdams.
