I just love this series and highly anticipate all the coming books. This books is the best by far and I really enjoyed the first two. This book continues the story of Meghan Chase and Ash. It picks up just as the last book ends. Meghan is going home to try to live a normal life with Ash. But she soon realizes that the false Iron King will not let her live in peace. So Meghan and Ash seek safety with Leanansidhe the exile queen who also holds Meghan's stepfather. On the way, Puck appears having been exiled himself because he followed Meghan without Oberon's consent. So the three begin to train Meghan to use a sword so that she won't be so vulnerable. During this time the false king is fighting the Summer and Winter Courts and taking over the Wyldwood. The Courts send an envoy to seek Meghan to fight the Iron King because she is the only one who can enter the Iron realm and not become sick. So the quest to save all of Faery begins.
The best part of this book is seeing Ash's softer side. I always had a thing for him but after being exiled Ash has no reason to lie about his feelings for Meghan. There are some swoon worthy scenes between Meghan and Ash as they become closer and Ash pledges to become her Knight. Puck is funny and always by Meghan's side as her best friend. This book left me anxious for More! More of Ash and Meghan! More of the Iron Queen! More of Puck! More of Nevernever!(less)

I really enjoyed the story and couldn't put it down. I was drawn in by the story immediately and enjoyed the chemistry between Jessica and Lucias right away. Lucias is sexy, tall, dark and handsome--just the way I like them. He is vampire royality who shows up to claim his betrothed Jessica and unite two warring factions of royal vampires. The only problem is that Jessica has no idea about the pact and betrothal. She is shocked and upset by the notion that her parents kept this from her. She also refuses to believe vampires exist or that she is one. In this novel, vampires keep their blood drinking nature in the bedroom between loved ones. I really liked this aspect as it just adds to romance and seems logical to me. Jessica is very logical minded and just starting her senior year so this seems like extremely poor timing. Jessica is finally catching the eye of nice guy Jake Zinn and starting to date him. She finds Lucias annoying and like a stalker. Lucias is flabbergasted that Jessica prefers a "peasant" farmer to him. He begins to date the it girl at school and this is the first time Jessica begins to struggle with her feelings for Lucias. Jessica has been in denial of her feelings but decides to explore her feelings for Lucias. However, Lucias starts to believe Jessica would be in danger if they fulfill the pact. As things become more complicated by speculation over Lucias' true nature threatens to expose the secrets of vampire existence. Jessica has to try to save him. I don't want to ruin the ending but this book will stick with you if you are paranormal fan. The best part is that the sequel will be out later this year and their is a mini book on the authors website that is awesome for a between the novels read. This book is going on the keeper shelf.(less)

Lately some of my favorite series seem to not know when to quit. This book takes place after Lucas has been turned and after Bianca has died and become a Wraith. Lucas struggles with blood lust and actually hates being a vampire. In order to get a handle on his new afterlife, He, Bianca, and Balthazaar return to Evernight Academy. Bianca as a wraith keeps her presence a secret because of the hatred Mrs. Bethany feels toward the wraiths. Mrs. Bethany turns out to be trapping wraiths as a way back to her life. There is a great background story on Mrs. Bethany and the wraiths. We are introduced to the Place in between which Bianca can travel to at will. Bianca turns out to be special when it comes to wraiths as she can serve as a bridge to the afterlife for wraiths. Bianca seems to be the center of both the mismatched team of friends and the wraiths. I don't really want to give the story away but I liked the way this tied up the story with Lucas and Bianca. I am not sure how Bianca managed the miracle at the end but it was a feel good ending for the series which appealled to my cheesy sense of romance. I am looking forward to the new book that will follow Balthazaar as I always sort of wanted him to get a girl who would appreciate him too. All in all I really liked this book and I think fans of the series will be pleased.(less)

The characters are rich, funny, and vibrant. This series resonanted with me long after I was done reading the books. I am always looking forward to the next book and will be so sad when she decides to end them. I have always thought this would make an excellent series for TV--I mean who needs Stefan and Damon when you could watch Shane and Micheal! Not that I don't thoroughly enjoy VD but Morganville would totally be a well rounded series with characters such as the mad vamp-scientist Myrnin, Sheriff Hannah, Oliver, Monica, and Amelie. But getting on to Bite Club, this story takes place after the last ill-fated trip of our favorite friends out of Morganville. The story centers around a new gym in town that is run by a vampire named Vassily. Shane is excited to learn martial arts and work out at the gym and immediately starts going. Claire isn't so sure going to a gym run by vampires is a great idea and follows him. Shane spars with another Vamp and actually gets a good shot in and is invited to join an advanced class. Shane continues to work out and spend more time at the gym and becomes irritable and more agressive. Claire knows something is off but cannot figure it out. Claire is also going to school where she finds a dead body that is connected to the gym business. Bishop shows back up in town which sets the town on edge and Amelie and Oliver on the war path literally. This novel like any other Morganville novel is full of action. One of the most interesting things about Bite Club is Ms. Caine gives us a first person POV for Shane throughout the book which I loved. Shane is one of my favorites and I loved getting to see his feelings for Claire and how Glory, a new vamp, and the gym training was affecting him. I don't believe the book would have been half as good without this new look at Shane. Highly recommended for fans of the series and other Vampire fans!(less)

Thank goodness I didn't start this series until this became available. The cliffhanger of Graves being captured by Sergji about left me in sleepless nights. As it was I couldn't put this book down. I was confused by the start of this story because all of a sudden you are thrust into an action scene where Dru is in a club trolling for Nosrefat with Cristophe running the operation. Dru also mentions "Nathalie" picking out her outfit and tutoring her looks. This totally freaked me out because the only other girl was Anna which didn't turn out so well in Jealousy. It turns out that Nathalie is a female wulfen which has been called into service by Cristophe. I think she is an awesome addition to the characters especially in the absence of Graves. But I was going a little crazy thinking how can she be going about her daily life and training without Graves?!! I wanted scream at Cristophe and the council to find him and go out to look for him. I was baffled. But that being said the book was an incredible ride that I couldn't put down! Dru is finally as Kick Ass as I want her to be. By the end I was so greatful and thrilled with Dru's transformation. She takes control and becomes a real Svetocha. I can't wait to follow this story to it's conclusion in the next book. This book reveils and answers a lot of the questions that have been clawing at my brain since the first book. We find the traitor, Anna's real motivation, and rescue Graves. We also find much more out about Dru's Mother, Cristophe, and Anna. (less)
