The more I think about it the more I wish this book was written from Jason's perspective. I didn't really care for Julia's character. I felt like the book was almost too predictable, and I wish more of the focus would have been placed on character development instead of setting up the ending, which I saw coming early on. If this books was written from Jason's perspective, the twist wouldn't have been the focal point and it would have been more about the characters interacting. I was interested to learn more about Jason's conversations with his friends, especially Sarah and Ryan. So, all in all it was an easy quick read, but was lacking in areas....more

I would love to read this book from Josh's point of view. I'd actually love to read the whole series from each of the guys' point of view. I'm hoping that there is another book coming because Meredith needs a story! I loved how we got to experience Josh's work without actually seeing it drawn. It would also be really cool if Josh's book was made into an actual graphic novel...I'm just saying..I'd buy it! ...more

However, II enjoyed the format of the writing in letters, emails, and instant messages. I liked the characters and their personalities and struggles. However, I felt like the plot covered too much time, and ran a little long. I enjoyed it, but I didn't love it. I'm hoping to love the movie more than the book. ...more

Reading so many differentI really enjoyed some of the stories, and others of them I couldn't wait to be done with so I could head on to the next one. Reading so many different authors one right after the other was a great experience though because I was able to see which authors writing I really enjoyed. That experience helped me to realize who my favorite authors really are, and which genres that I enjoy more than others. I've also discovered some authors that I haven't read before that I want to read more of. My list of favorite stories in my order of my preference:
Midnights by Rainbow Rowell - 5/5 stars. This story was so perfect on so many levels! Rainbow Rowell is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. This story was so adorable, the characters were loveable, and it was all around a great holiday read.
Beer, Buckets, and Baby Jesus by Myra McEntire - 5/5 stars With a first line like, "The whole mess started when I lit the church on fire," I knew I was going to love this story. Oh, the humor!! I found myself laughing out loud. It was adorable and funny. I want to read more of Myra McEntire's work.
Welcome to Christmas, CA by Kiersten White - 5/5 stars This was one of the few stories I read that I could actually envision being a Hallmark holiday TV movie, and one that I wish was actually a movie. I loved the setting, the characters, and the little bit of mystery. I liked the dynamics of the parents in this story as well. They weren't as absentee as most Young Adult stories go, and that was refreshing.
It's a Yuletide Miracle, Charlie Brown by Stephanie Perkins - 5/5 stars This one really put me in the Holiday spirit. So much giving, and add a little swoon and it was a magical combination! I want to read more of Stephanie Perkins for sure after reading this. I loved the setting, plot, and characters.
Star of Bethlehem by Ally Carter - 4/5 stars
I wish Ethan's character would have been developed a little bit more, but I could see this one being a Hallmark holiday TV movie too. It felt like things were resolved a little too quickly, and a longer novel would have suited it better. But I love Ally Carter, and this story filled a different space in the anthology that I enjoyed.
Plaris is Where You'll Find Me by Jennifer Han - 3/5 stars
This one fell a little short for me in places, and maybe I liked this one because I didn't like the stories before it at all, and I found this one refreshing.
All of the other stories were a 1/5 rating for me.
Overall, the few stories that I loved were the only reason I kept at this book. I enjoyed reading the stories, but I was really ready to move onto something new by the time I finished the last story. ...more
