Cami just got the culture shock of a Lifetime. After moving, due to some family issues going on, she goes from being home schooled to being tossed into the chaos that we like to call public high school. (Bless.Her.Heart.) The good news is - she handles it like a champ! It is there that she meets Tristan. & yes, I know what you are thinking.
Oh.Em.Gee - not another instantly falling in love novel.
You went to high school right? People were in love with new people every week. It was like changing socks back then lol. So yes, it might be instant love - but seriously, it's high school - it fits. Read it. Like it. Embrace it..
Back to Tristan. He is the kind of person that you wouldn't think went very deep. To me, he came across as complex and compelling. I wanted to "label" him when the story first started.. You know, popular - a jerk, that kind of thing. Then I kept reading & saw that there really is so much more to him. He isn't one to let loose easily - or let people get too close to him. With Cami he is different. It made watching the two of them come together that much more priceless. It was like watching a magnet attract metal - unavoidable and completely destined to be .
Cooksey rocked my face off with Shark Bait. Her portrayal of secondary characters kept me just as entertained and enthralled as her main characters. Unlike some other books I have read, no character felt out of place or just thrown in there to take up pages. Everyone had a purpose and the end resulted equaled an epic book.
I am so extra excited that this is a series! WhY? Because I can't wait to see where she takes this! ...more

I am a sucker for romance in general and fell in love with the fact that someone, somewhere can relate to this in some form or fashion.
Susan uproots her entire life and moves to Mexico. During her span of being a teacher, never did she think she would fall for a student. What's that old saying, "you can't help who you love?" Losing a never ending battle with her emotions, she gives Carlos a chance, forming a bond that will help her make it through all the good and the bad that is to come.
To me, this is a coming of age story in so many ways. From being the daughter of a NBA Coach, to adjusting to a new lifestyle, another country, a job and juggling love, Susan does an excellent job of portraying her life in a way that hooks you from the very beginning. Page after page I found myself going through emotions I never new a book could spark in me!
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves romance, memoirs and all around good reads!...more

I had the pleasure of receiving this book to review from Chelsea, specifically for this blog tour. I am almost 100% sure that I haven't been more happy that I decided to join a tour. This book seriously rocked.my.life. Then again, you pretty much know a book is going to rock when the very first thing you read is:
The first day I met Hunter Zaccadelli, I punched him in the face.
In this book we get to see Taylor & Hunter each battle their own demons. What an enthralling, bumpy and tear worthy ride it was taking that journey with them! & to think - it all began with college dorm room assignments. Upon finding out that Hunter was going to be her (and her friends) dorm mate - & their first meeting being just shy of a natural disaster, Taylor set out to get Hunter removed as her roommate. Hunter, however - has other plans.
What kind of plans, exactly? Let me give you a sneak peek!
“I want you. Right now. If you said yes, I would kiss you. I would kiss you until we both forgot that lips were made for anything other than kissing. I'd take you out of that outfit, as cute as it is. I want to see what you look like with nothing on. I want to make you sigh like you did with the cake. I want to be with you. Right now.”
He comes up with a bet. She can either prove she legit loves him - or legit hates him, by the end of the 1st semester. Easy right? - Yea; that is what Taylor thought - until Hunter started getting under her skin. She is almost convinced she has whiplash with the ping pong match that is there emotions that is constantly at play. Despite it all; the two form a friendship that has both its ups and downs, but also gets them through the good and the bad. Chelsea wrote a story that flowed effortlessly and literally keeps you turning the pages to see where she is going to take you. The chemistry is nothing short of perfect and I found myself laughing over and over again at the smart-ass/witty dialogue.
Cameron also wrote some very well sculpted secondary characters. The friends and family that stand behind both Taylor & Hunter help mold the story and made the transitions in plot that much more smooth. If you love your romance with a side of freaking epic - then My Favorite Mistake is def a read for you! Hot, addicting and heartwarming, Chelsea M. Cameron has written nothing short of an amazing story. ...more
That is exactly what I thought about 5 pages into this book. I don't know what it is that pulls me to her books... wait, yes I do. Her writing style is exceptional, her plot lines know how to keep you hooked and you can't help but connecting emotionally with the book.
I bet you've never had to ask yourself, "how do I get a girl someone else claims they are going to marry one day?" That is exactly what Marcus Hardy found himself. Marcus has found himself back in his hometown to handle some family issues that are going on. While here, he gets an apartment with a friend of his, Cage. During this stay, he encounters Willow, or as we all know her - Low. Not only is she Cage's best friend, but she also happens to be the girl Cage tells everyone he is going to Marry one day. How does one have any kind of chance against that?
Willow. Here she is battling some issues of her own. Here she is struggling with school, work, anxiety, watching her niece and worrying about where she is going to stay every time her sister decides to kick her out. Cage to the rescue! Anytime she needs him, he is there. Again, how do you compete with something like that? - Enter Marcus stage left (: From the moment he opened the door and saw Low standing there, he was hooked. Before he knew it, every thought he had was about her.
But as usual, not everything can last forever. While Marcus is busy holding his family together, due to his dad leaving his mother for a much younger woman, Low is attempting to hold her own life together with the added fear that Cage no longer wanted to be there for her. Insert tons of emotional drama here. - Seriously, this book had me in tears around this part. How do you overcome everything blowing up in your face and the one person you thought you were going to spend forever with is suddenly the one person you don't want to see anymore?
This is the problem Low found herself dealing with. How do you explain to the love of you life that you had no idea it was your sister that stole your dad from your mom AND had a baby with him? Before she could get the chance to, Marcus walked in on her confronting her sister and his father and thought that she knew the entire time, informing her he wanted nothing to do with her again. Enter Cage stage right! Where do you go from here? How do you pick up the pieces of two broken hearts? As everyone always says, the heart needs time to heal.
The way this book was written simply amazed me. Not only did it end with the two of them getting back together, it showed the struggles and steps they took to get to that point. To me, this was one emotional book and I loved every single moment of it. I can honestly say not one part of this book turned me off. As we all know, I love me a good underdog story!...more

I read this entire book in one sitting last night. I just could not bring myself to put it down until the story was over. That is quite unusual for me. Normally it takes alot to get a book to hold my attention like that!
This book had so much "real world" likeness to it, that it made me feel as though I had been where Ashton was before. I mean really, who could bring themselves to pick between cousins? Especially when you have all been friends since childhood and you love them both, just not in the same ways.
On one hand you have Sawyer, who is perfect in just about every way. Here is someone who is loved by all and is pretty much the Golden Child. Around him, you find yourself turning into someone who isn't you, just because you feel that in order to please him, you need to be that person. While the changes aren't horrible ones to make, a person should never have to change for anyone, no matter who they are.
On the other hand you have Beau. Her best friend since childhood. Here is the most loyal person you could ever meet and the town's bad boy! I mean who wouldn't fall for that charm!? Being Ashton's best friend since childhood is making it hard for him to hide his feelings. Then Sawyer goes away for a month and just about everything changes.
Ashton's life takes some hits and Beau, not Sawyer, is there to pick up the pieces. Throughout that month, Beau and Ashton find a kind of love that she doesn't have with Sawyer, even though her heart new the entire time that Beau was the one for her. Once Sawyer returns, the 3 of them have many things to work out and I found it amazingly interesting to watch the progression of anger, sadness, joy, more anger and eventually, acceptance. The feelings, plot lines and emotions portrayed in this story really have you sympathizing with the characters. A perfect story in my eyes. This is a well rounded story that pulls at your heart strings! ...more

I love that this one picked up right where book 1 left off. I would have hated to miss a moment of Mr. -Make Me Have To Change My Panties At Least 2 Times Just From The Sound of His Name- Cross. Yea. He's just that good. Complete Swoon Status. Actually, I think we need a new word - because when it comes to him - "swoon" just seems a little too innocent.. Let's go with.. Sex on a Stick.. or Hot Sex Walking.. You pick (:
Eva & Gideon have a relationship that is completely one of a kind. A relationship only the two of them could ever really understand. Without each other they are lost & with each other they are sometimes more of a mess than if they were alone. Then again, love does some strange things to you.
"You hit me the instant I saw you," he said gruffly. "I couldn't look away. I wanted you immediately. Excessively. Almost violently."
Both are so deeply scared from their past that neither of them really knows how to move forward. Which in turn leads to the insane amount of trust and commitment issues between the two of them. On one hand you have Eva - an open book who wants nothing more than to give herself to Gideon & just about wears her heart on her sleeves. On the other hand you have Gideon - who loves Eva beyond belief, but his book is closed and pretty much has a padlock on it. Though he continues to tell Eva to "Just Trust Him" - that can only get him so far before she just loses it and decides to take matters into her own hands. Which, she does - in the form of an Ex. Then again; we all know Gideon has his own Ex issues; so score a point for Eva.
This book def took me on a never ending emotional.. hurricane. (I felt roller coaster was too nice of a word) Gideon is such an Alpha Male that you can't help but to be drawn to him. On the other hand, he is also (in his own way) a lover of EXTREME proportions. His love for Eva knows no bounds and even though he might not always be good with words, where Gideon is concerned, actions speak louder than words. HOT; SWEATY - THROW YOU UP AGAINST EVERY SURFACE OF THE HOUSE AND COMPLETELY SCREW YOU SENSELESS - type of actions. && let me tell you Sylvia Day knows JUST how to bring that side of Gideon to life.
"You know what happens when you run, Angel." Gideon nipped my lower lip with his teeth, and then soothed the sting with the caress of his tongue. "I catch you."
The back and forth between the two sometimes seemed never ending. I just wanted to smack them both on the head and be like "GET IT TOGETHER ALREADY!" Then again, with the way Day wrote the story, I completely saw where it was headed. After all, life has a way of telling you things have to get worse before they get better. Case & Point: Evan & Gideon. Another thing I completely loved about this book was Cary. I honestly don't think these books would be the same without him. As Eva's best friend - he is around quite a bit && he is freaking HILARIOUS. Really; who doesn't love a guy who says stuff like:
"What kind of vitamins does Cross take?" "Huh?" "I'm never not horny, and I can't pile-drive all night like that. I kept thinking, 'He's got to be done now.' Then he'd start up again."
Yup. Dude is classic. If you haven't read Bared to You yet - you should! & then you need to pick up Reflected in You - because it's just so epically awesome, that you HAVE to read it! <3...more

For some reason, I am JUST NOW finding myself getting into Urban Fantasy books. With that said, I don’t think I could have asked for more when it comes to this book!
Here you have Chase. Swoon worthy, sweet baby Jesus I just want to watch you and your tattooed self kick some demon butt – Chase. I will forever LOVE that this book was written in the POV of Chase. It is not often you find books written from a male perspective and it completely worked in this book. Epic win Mr. Merrick – Epic.
Rayna – what’s not to love about the girl who kill shots the demon who is currently getting the best of you?! Yeah, you know he thought the same thing! (: Here you have this mysterious girl who kicks ass and takes names on a later date. Who just also happens to be half demon. Throw the both of them together and you get the masterpiece that is Exiled.
Thought this book hardly touches on any romance – even though my wishful thinking gene was kicking into overdrive! – it was amazing in so many other ways. I fell in love with the bond that formed between Chase and Rayna. It wasn’t one of those, touchy feely; oh baby I love you – let’s get married 3 days after knowing each other kind of bonds. It’s more along the lines of a building bond. You watch as the two of them build this relationship built on trust, something they both have issues with.
The back and forth between the two of them had me laughing continually. I just freaking loved it. Oh! Let’s not forget about the secondary characters! Most of all, Willy!
I know this isn’t a typical review from me, but I honestly didn’t want to give the book away. This is one of those, you just HAVE to read it to understand the hype type of books. Trust me, it’s well worth it!...more

I 100% LOVED this book! I’ve actually read it 3 times since I received it & it just gets better each time! :) I was never really into YA all that much, until the last year or so, aside from when I was younger. It’s books like Unmaking Hunter Kennedy that remind me of just why I loved these novels when I was younger!
You would never know it just from looking at the gorgeous Pop Star, but Hunters life could not be any more of a mess. After a prank gone wrong, he’s sent to be a “normal teenager,” in disguise, of course. Really, how normal can one famous pop star really be? Then, Vere enters his life.. Or is it Hunter enters Vere’s life? Really, I think they both needed each other lol.
Vere is that gorgeous, everyone should have a friend like her girl – who is totally unaware of this fact. Which seems to make her that much more compelling to Hunter. One thing she does know, is that when she is around Hunter, she can be her TRUE self & not the self that she lets everyone else see. I absolutely ADORE Vere & her inner monologue. Seriously, this girl knows how to keep you laughing. I couldn’t get enough of her lol.
I would like to point out that I LOATHED Hunter’s mom. Seriously, you know how there is always that one character from a book that you want to shank with a really, really sharp knife? Yea, well in this book, it is that horrible woman. Only really bad words come to mind when I try to describe her lol.
Anne Eliot held me captive this entire novel. I loved every single page of it. She has a way with writing a story that captures you and you just cannot put it down until the very last page & even then, you are left wanting more. I would recommend this book to anyone who ADORES poetically written first kisses and loves a true romantic novel!...more

Simply Amazing. - If I could end this review with just those 2 words, I would. There is honestly no other way to describe this book. Wait! Yes, there is. Breathtaking, Astonishing, Beautiful, Charming, Wonderful, Enchanting... I could go on and on.
Here you have Julie, who, stranded without a place to go, finds herself staying with a roommate her mom had in college. She notices that there is just something not right with this family. The parents are never there, Finn is "away", Matt is like a parent to his sister - and the center piece of the family-, Celeste, who is for some reason carrying around a life size cardboard copy of her brother that she calls "Flatt Finn". Issues much?
Between juggling school, helping out with Celeste and trying to live her life, Julie soon finds herself having late night Facebook chats with Finn, the brother who is away being this grand adventurer. Within the months that follow, Julie becomes closer to Celeste and begins to find herself falling for Finn. So why does she find herself asleep in not Finn's, but Matt's arms one night?
Not soon after that, everything comes to a head. Celeste has a breakdown and everything that was suppose to stay hidden comes out.
What do you do when you find out the person you "love" isn't really who you thought? How do you handle your entire world crashing around you and not knowing a single thing to do to stop it?
Watching this story unfold was shocking. I must say, I did not see the ending coming at all! This story was written with so much feeling that I literally spent the last 10 minutes crying. - GOOD CRY! - okay, well some bad cry!
The sparks that fly, the relationships that make it and those that don't, along with the trials and heartbreak and the never ending secrets, all tied in with love, lust, family and friendship, made this book one of the best reads that I have had in a long time!...more

Oh man, Oh man. Honestly, at first I didn't know what I would get out of this book. While I love me some romance books, I also love a well laid out background on characters and a story line that flows - not bounces. Well I got all of that and more with this book. The characters were actually believable. Not this - "OMG that kind of stuff never happens in real life", kind of characters, but ones you can actually relate to because either you yourself have been through what they are going through, or you know someone who does. It makes feeling the emotions and understanding the issues that much more vivid when you are reading.
Brittany - who doesn't want the "perfect" life? Although, we shouldn't have to pretend we have it, like Brittany does. Just like in her case, this just leads to a miserable person and a ton of issues. So what happens when that perfect life starts to fall apart? Here you have an amazing girl who is pretending to be this perfect person her parents want her to be, all while playing the hero to her disabled sister that gets no attention what.so.ever from parental figures. She has the perfect quarterback boyfriend, shes captain of the cheer squad and has a life everyone wants.. Or so they think.
Alex - Lives on the "other side" of town. You know, the one where all the gang bangers and such live. Except, he's not what everyone makes him out to be. Yes, he is in a gang, yet, not for the reasons everyone things. He also isn't into drug selling, killing or any of the usual stuff that makes you this oh so feared person. Then fate, or whatever good thing was at work here, pairs Alex with Brittany in their Chemistry class - and the sparks begin to fly.
Although watching Brittany fight this for as long as she did made me want to throw the book across the room sometimes, I see why she did it. The conflict she had within herself was epic. I can say this, because at one point in our lives, we have all been there - so I knew exactly how she felt. The heart wants what the heart wants, even when you head and the rest of the world thinks it's wrong.
I loved the journey they went on. Watching Brittany let Alex into her life in a way she's let no one else in before, really helped you see just what was hiding behind the "Perfect Brittany." You will fall in love with this story just as I did! I found myself rooting for these two over and over. Every obstacle that came their way proved to be nothing when it came to love. I just simply loved it. ...more

I would like to take this time to say that I love me a book about a bad boy.. especially when that bad boy is of the rocker persuasion! I don't know why, but they just do something for me! With that said - holy freaking emotional DRAMA! Normally, this would bug the living crap out of me, but in this case, it worked. It even pulled some tears out! That's how you KNOW a book just has it! I felt so much for these characters, got so completely invested in them - that I felt like I was with them through the story.
My body craved him like his body was it's missing piece, but my mind wouldn't allow it.
Emma - like most people, she was dealt a rather crappy hand a little early on in life & because of this, she has some insanely serious daddy issues. With those daddy issues, came the feeling that I wanted to throttle her, at least a dozen times. Yet, at the same time, I completely understood what was holding her back and where her emotions where coming from. That didn't make it any easier to get past - but I understood. She has such a caring heart and she feels SO very much, she is immensely loyal to those she holds close her. She seems to also fully believe in the "an eye for an eye" saying. MY KINDA GIRL! What she feels for Scott is so unlike anything she's ever felt before and is turning into something bigger than even she realizes. With her past && her tainted vision of relationships, she has no idea what to make of it.
I could feel tremors coming from him, his breathing was stilted, shaky. I wasn't thinking, my whole being was here and now in what was happening.
Scott is a tortured soul. A very beautiful, deep, soulfully singing, thoughtfully caring, completely Alpha - tortured soul. He can be sweet talking you one minute & before you can even blink he's punched some stranger in the face for violating the international moral code. His possessive streak and feelings for Emma are so completely new and the size of Texas - yet his commitment issues seem to be even bigger than that. With the trail of girls he seems to leave in his wake, the daddy issues Emma has & the undoing of everything that Scott knows, it's no wonder they both want to guard their hearts.
Scott - "Thanks." Emma - "For what?" Scott - "Giving a shit."
Reading the ups and downs of Emma & Scott was the most interesting 3 hours I have had in a long time. I didn't want it to end, but when it did, I couldn't help the smile that had seemed to form in spite of the tears I was trying to hold off. Hawkes wrote such an emotionally touching and telling story that you cannot help but want to connect with these characters. Aside from Scott and Emma, I could not get enough of Ash and Newton. Such amazing characters to go right along with the story. I recommend this book to anyone who loved Thoughtless &/or Beautiful Disaster. ...more

When Sarah's friend suddenly decides to get engaged and head off to Paris, she gives her the key to a storage unit she won in an auction. In that unit Sarah find items that she just knows someone will want back one day. This is also where she finds the journals. The sex ridden, dirty secrets, can't get enough of it - journals. So instead of just selling the stuff, Sarah decides to find the owner. Her first step in this process? Reading the journals to see if they lead her anywhere? & that they did - right to the art gallery where Rebecca was said to work. Sarah gets to do everything that we all do when we pick up a book. She gets to live out the life of Rebecca.. seriously.
After visiting the art gallery, only to be told that Rebecca is "on vacation," she finds herself being offered a summer job from the gallery owner himself, Mark. Telling herself that it's just a way to get closer to finding Rebecca - she accepts. It's there that she meets Chris. The dashing, brooding, famous artist Chris, who's work happens to be on display that night. The attraction between the two is almost instant & just about as obvious as the - carve the tension with a knife - relationship that Chris and Mark seem to have.
The more Sarah reads of the journals, the more she wonders just what she has gotten herself into and if Rebecca is even okay. Is she simply on vacation as everyone tells her, or was she running from something.. or someone? If it's the latter, is that someone the men that Rebecca writes about in her journals? On that very note, she begins to wonder if she didn't just insert herself directly in the MIDDLE of the very men that Rebecca may be running from. Talk about some life issues man!
As Sarah hunts for Rebecca, she finds herself in the very place she was trying to avoid - Chris's arms. As if that one night wasn't enough, it turned into an entire weekend. (Yea, like I would complain!) The result of this weekend was Sarah learning things she probably thinks she is better off not knowing & sends her running as far away from Chris as she can get. Chris on the other hand, isn't have that. (that's right, take charge dude!) He decides to show her just why those journal pages are filled with what they are filled with. (Where can I get me one of these journals? & does it happen to come WITH the man described on its pages?) - He's an all or nothing kind of guy.. WIN.
The ball is in Sarah's court now. Can she handle the heat and work through all the demons between them? Especially now, when it seems like there is someone who doesn't want Sarah in the very world she is starting to call her own.

I 100% think that she has mastered her craft with this bOf the 3 books Toni Aleo has written in this series so far, Empty Net is by far my favorite . I 100% think that she has mastered her craft with this book. I am in no way saying that Taking Shots & Trying to Score sucked; because they did NOT - I am just simply saying that this book rocked my freaking face off. I have never been more into the characters of a book until I read Empty Net. Toni has created such a realistic world; that involves famous people who have real life problems - which to me; makes them even more relateable . You can't help but fall in love with them and their stories.
I fell in love with Audrey when I met her in Trying to Score. Being the youngest of 3, I can understand and relate to what she feels when it comes to her sister, Fallon. I simply love the relationship between the sisters. It's refreshing to read such love between family members. I also love Audrey for her struggles and her survival of them. Having been through the exact thing she goes through in this book; I felt for her in a way I haven't felt for a heroine in a long time. I felt every tear, laugh, success, failure and triumph that she went through. It was... amazing.
Then you have Tate Odder. So beautifully written and so perfectly swoon worthy. Toni hit this one spot on. I don't think a better person could have been written in his place. Tate is everything you would want in a male lead. Sweet, strong, compassionate, sexy, a freaking hockey player, genuine and committed. Having been dealt a not so good hand in some aspects of his life - he finds a home with the Nashville Assassins. His character is very profound and sometimes complex - but I think that makes him all the more appealing. A perfect match for Audrey if you ask me. I think he is exactly what she needs at this point in her life.
As always, Toni's side characters have just as much impact on her stories as the main characters. I simply love the fact that previous characters have a place in Empty Net. I don't think it would have been the same without them. These characters and this series have become so special to me, that I am so very IMPATIENTLY waiting for Blue Lines to come out. Its like a part of me is on hold - kind of stuck wondering where this story and these characters are going to go. STOP THE SUSPENSE MAN!
Sports fan or no sports fan - I think this book no; this series should be read by anyone who is a down right TRUE romantic (: You will not be disappointed. ...more

I completely love this book! No joke. I kind of feel bad saying this; but this one rocked my face off even more than the first book did. Which is a good thing! It means that Fine hasn't lost her writing momentum!
The flashbacks of Scarlet have got to be my favorite part of this book. I LOVE them. It is almost like you are getting to read two books in one. I also enjoyed the fact that we got to see just how things played out. I will say that after those flashbacks, I am 100% Team Tristan! Why? Because it is not everyday that you find someone who can love like he can. It literally knows NO time limits & it is pretty much never ending. Everyone should experience a love like that at some point in their lives.
I love that it showed just how Scarlet at Gabriel ended up together. This book also make me like Gabe just a little. (A TINY SMIDGE) Be that as it may, I am still totally Team T! This book happens to be JAM PACKED with Epicness. You don't want to miss a single page! The book flowed effortlessly and kept me entranced the entire time. Chelsea Fine knows how to write such believable characters, that you feel like you are right there with them as they journey though the pages of this book.
The ONLY issue I had with this book was the ending. ARE YOU KIDDING ME CHELSEA! I am the most impatient person in the world and you went and ended the book like that. I will say though, I am freaking EXCITED to see how everything plays out! :) I would def recommend this book to anyone who likes to fill their time with epic. ...more

It’s about a ROCK STAR! & we all know just how much I L-O-V-E reading about those! Seriously, I am starting to think it’s an addiction.
Alana was pretty much a sheltered woman. Really, who has NEVER been to a concert before in their life?! Due to past events in her mothers life, she opened a women’s refuge camp, basically in the middle of nowhere & this is where the two of them lived. As much as I am sure her mother would LOVE for Alana never to leave, Alana has different ideas. She KNOWS it’s time for her to get out and experience all life has to offer – on her own. Her first stop? The FRONT ROW of a rock band concert. Talk about living it up right!
Mitchell Davis is pretty sure his eyes are lying to him. Maybe it’s the lighting, or maybe his mind playing tricks on him, but the woman in the front row SURELY cannot be so attractive that he cannot keep his eyes off her! Leave it up to fate to give him a chance to intervene when things go wrong, thus being able to be her “knight in shinning armor.” Mitch shocked the crap out of himself when it came to Alana. When the HELL did he go from “no relationships” to suddenly wanting one, but only with THIS woman?!
I enjoyed watching Alana come into her own as a woman with Mitchell. Everything she was experiencing was new and she handled it all like a champ. While I normally do not go for “instant connection” books, this one had an entirely different feeling. While the connection was instant, the build up and the relationship was not. I still got to enjoy everything in between and it was almost completely perfect! I will say that Eden Summers surely knows how to write her Erotica. There were some scenes in here hot enough to make ME blush & that takes some serious effort! Not to mention it just added to the overall effect of the book!
All in all, this was a fantastic read! I would def recommend it to anyone who likes their romance with some serious spice! oh! & for all the Rock Star lovers out there! This is one book you are surely NOT going to want to miss! I am so glad she’s making this a series & cannot wait for the next!...more
This is the second novel I have read by this author, the first being Best Served Cold. I wasn’t sure what to think of this one going into it because iThis is the second novel I have read by this author, the first being Best Served Cold. I wasn’t sure what to think of this one going into it because it was different from the previous work of hers that I had read. I went into it with an opened mind and it shocked the mess out of me. I can honestly say I didn’t know what I was expecting, but I was pleasantly blown away.
Rafe… oh Rafe… So heartfelt, broken, loyal and mind manipulating. He is such a touching soul – with such broken pieces inside of him. What does one do when he has a broken heart? Why, he goes on a drinking and sex binge, of course! Anything you can do to numb the pain actually. In the mist of his binge, he ends up in New Orleans & this is where he meets Jocelyn. She tracks him down to offer him a job – a job that would allow him to help people like him… People with special abilities.
Jocelyn is one headstrong woman. She knows what she wants and she goes straight after it. I loved her from the very beginning. She has an issue with being in control, but then again what woman doesn’t? Then again, she is also wise enough to realize when she needs to hand that control over to someone else. Upon recruiting Rafe, the two are sent on an undercover mission together.. One that turns dangerous and frankly, uneasy.
This story hooked me from the very beginning. I don’t know if it’s because he has such an attractive name like Rafe, but it grabbed my attention and I read it in on sitting. The story flowed so effortlessly that I hung onto every single word. I LOVE suspense in my books and Tawdra Kandle filled Undeniable with romance, passion, suspense, paranormal and so many other things that I loved. I cannot honestly sit here and tell you one thing I didn’t like about this book, other than I wish it were longer! OH! & cliffhangers KILL me – but sometimes, they are so worth it! I am eagerly awaiting the next book in this series!...more
I actually ended up reading this one twice. Why, you ask? Well, because when I was offered the chance to read this one, I hadn’t read Thursday NightsI actually ended up reading this one twice. Why, you ask? Well, because when I was offered the chance to read this one, I hadn’t read Thursday Nights yet. I went back and read that, to go back and re-read Storm Front. I must say, I got a much better understanding of it after reading book #1! To be completely honest, I have been in such a book depression lately (hence the lack of review post) & this book got me out of it!
Ashley & Ryan were childhood friends (LOVE these stories!). Just when they decided to test the waters and decide to see exactly what was between them, tragedy happens.. & we all know much too well how tragedy can tear two people apart. I completely LOVE how this is written in two different tenses. I love books that give us all the insight of the future, as well as a look into the past also. It literally drew me in and kept me captive from beginning to end!
Ashley, like most of us, has a troubled past. I love that she grew into her own and is a woman who isn’t afraid to go after what she wants and doesn’t hesitate to speak her mind. She has such a fire about her that I was instantly drawn to her character and actually related to her more than I thought I would. She had such emotion. Not just randomly here and there, but she OWNED her emotions. Every single one of them – from anger to passion to outright brutal honesty. She’s trying her hardest to overcome her past and face her future head-on – all while still finding herself and adapting.
Ryan.. Sweet baby Jesus Ryan. Lisa N. Paul wrote one amazing character when she wrote Ryan. Sex appeal out the yang just added to my attraction to him. I love how driven he is, that his determination is the main driving force of who he is as a man. Having faced his past and let go of all demons he held on to – he has turned into one amazing person. I think it’s such an act of fate that the two of them were thrown together once again. I don’t think she noticed it at first, or at all, but she needed him more than she ever though she would.
This was such a compelling story. The story line was flawless and flowed with what seemed like no effort at all. Storm Front is a romantic, firey, grab your heartstrings and take you for a ride kind of read. It was written with such detailed conviction that you couldn’t help but open your mind and let the characters run free. It was so vivid in my mind, just from reading the words, that I felt like there was a miniature movie playing in my head. Those are my favorite kind of books to read. You know, the ones where you can picture everything so clearly!
I would recommend this book to anyone who takes a chance on romances. It’s such a beautiful story that I think it should be given a chance by everyone....more

Miller wrote an amazing story with Never Let You Fall. As you all know, I just recently got into the fantasy novels. I am a hardcore Romantic Suspense reader. I have to say though, I am glad that I am branching out – otherwise, I would have missed this amazing novel! This one actually managed to make my favorites list! My favorite thing about this book – was it was packed with never ending! It was a TON of boring character profiles or back stories that just seemed to drag on and on. It literally jumped right into the awesome and kept right on going all the way to the end!
Skye is something else altogether.. Like the rest of us, we have trust issues. On the other hand, hers have come to her naturally. After all, if I were her, I would have some serious trust issues also! She’s facing down a life that most could only DREAM of.. Seriously; it’s the stuff made of some serious medication induced dreams & this chick isn’t even technically classified as an “adult”! I LOVE that she doesn’t just shrug her shoulders and go “oh well, lets kick some butt,” but she actually struggles and falls and gets back up. It’s a progress of her understanding and accepting AND THEN deciding to take on the world. Seriously; it was epic. I’d totally want a best friend like her!
Xander.. Oh goodness.. His name alone sums up everything I want to sit here and type about him! I know we all go through book boyfriends like it’s NOTHING – but this dude just topped my list. & that is NOT something easy to do! He’s loyal as crap, very protective, easy on the eyes & despite the Alpha male thing he has going on – his sensitivity (where Skye is concerned) shows through quite often! He is her savior through everything she’s going through. He is the one steady that seems to be a constant in her ever changing life. The connection between the two was seriously a joy to read about! I loved that it was a progress and not instant! It was also wonderfully written!
All in all; this book is one that you just MUST read! I refuse to go on and on about it, because then it just gives away the book & then there is no point in you reading it. Which means you miss out on the EPIC that is, Never Let You Fall!...more
