I started this series with the novella and it wasn't my favorite, but this book was way better. I liked the plot with the cowboys are even the more normal day-to-day life.
So in this book we have Sadie returning to hr childhood town of Copper Ridge. I have to say that for me it was a little difficult to understand why she had to return when her problems are connected to her parents and not the town. But moving on we have the part time cowboy from the title named Eli that also work as the twon deputy, he's in campain for sheriff and was responsible for arresting Sadie in the past.
So they didn't have the best of relationships, but I liked the way Sadie changed and tried to start her life again in Copper Ridge by starting a b&b. I think Eli could use with her meddling, but the town needed more changing than anything. So I liked the couple, just think the ending was a little rushed and they needed more time before all the forgiveness could come to close....more

I liked the Nordic mithology angle, but the fun part of this was how the author managed to make the Gods and their soldiers more human and normal. It was really fun watching how Kera was derailed from her normal life after the goddess Skuld was called to save her.
I really liked Vig and the way he managed to help Kera from the start, they had a different life so far and he was raised to be a raven and can help her navegate this new life, because she's a Marine, but has some problems with the way some of the crows love death and killing people. Kera was organized and she had a hard time understand the way things are for crows, but nobody really tried to help her, except for Vig.
I was a little confused with the names and people, because the author was introducing way too much people, too soon, but after I got to know them, the story started flowing better. Between loved Brodie, the dog!!!...more

I love to cook easy recipes but never tried to make something so glamurous in the microwave. My favorites were the breakfast and some of those sweets in the dessert category. This book is really worth it if you like me live alone and has some leftovers in the fridge. The intructions are quick and easy and you use some of your favorites ingredients.

So it was just an okay book for me, didn't even cry and that always happen with this series. I think my biggest problem with the couple was to me how weak Phoenix tried to be. She never fights for want she wants and spend 17 years in jail for something she was not responsible and never tried to really show the truth.
I liked Riley but didn't liked the way he just settled for everything and it took him way too long to fight for what he really wanted. He knew Phoenix before the accident and could explain better to everyone about her life, but he never tried and that for me was bad enough.
So I didn't loved the couple for different reasons and their romance felt weak to me because Phoenix was okay with everything just to be with her son and that it's not okay to me. I wanted Riley with someone else and I don't much care for Phoenix. So not a great story to me....more

She put two things that I really love together: New Orleans and Fey. So I was really anxious to start this one, but the book was not perfect and it took me a long time to connect with Ivy and the story.
I wanted to love this book so much, but the secrets and the way everyone treated Ivy was extremely bad. It felt sometimes like I was reading a spin-off from Julie Kagawa Iron's Prince series.
Taking in consideration this was only the first book in this series I will give it a try on the next one, but the pace had to improve because it felt like things never happened. But I loved Tink!!...more
