Once again, I reiterate that this series is UNIQUE. I never, for the life of me, can figure out where SHAY SAVAGE gets her ideas, but this book definitely came from somewhere that no one has ever been to before. It's awesome!
This book ties up the mysteries of Liam's life before it all started. I must say, even though I already expected a lot of it, I was still surprised by some things that happened here. I love how the book ended and I love everything about their relationship in the end. Yes, I wanted to bash Liam in the head many, many times, but I had to look past that and focus on him getting Tria back.
Tria definitely has more backbone here. She's more loyal and more fierce. I love how she protected Liam in her own way and I love how she was there for him after everything. She's a perfect mixture of strength and grace in times of pressure. She's amazing with Liam. I love how she understood him all the way. I WANT TO BE HER!!!
Both of these characters grew to be more than what I expected them to be. Liam learned the value of forgiveness and moving forward in life. Tria learned that she could trust in a person again and that she's not as unloved as she deemed to be.
I think what I love best about this book is that you'll see how they both appreciate what they have no matter how small it is.
Spoilers ahead so stop reading if you don't want to see this!!
As Liam came from a rich family, left it and then came back, you'd expect that he'll feel entitled to it all. But nope. He just appreciates that he could take more care of his family, but other than that.. nope. Not for personal gain. Tria is the same, so I love them both for it.
The ending part is worth the wait. Everything went as I wanted them to be. I love it! I love it so much!
All in all, this is a perfectly unique trilogy about fighting your battles head on, keeping the faith and pushing forward.

I love how Lachlain protects Emma with everything he has (king and all). I truly was dumbstruck with the ending.. (Emma killing the leader of the Horde). That's what I would call this second part in Shay Savage's CAGED series.
Genius because I didn't know the level of both characters' pasts and how it would affect them in their present. As it turns out, they still have to work on many things as they go along.
I'd like to say that I got to know more about Tria here. She opened up more and is still very loyal to Liam. I like it that she listens to him and tries to understand him no matter what. Liam have also grown since meeting Tria. He's still got this overprotective vibe going on, but he helps her find herself and lets her be as much as he can. I think the only think hindering him from being fully happy is that thing about his past...
About that... All I can say is... I CAN'T WAIT FOR THINGS TO CLEAR UP. Like totally!! I wanna know what truly happened to him and how they're going to fix it. I can't wait for his family to be complete. I honestly think that Liam's family is sorry about things. I can feel it in my bones. I hope he lets them in and I hope everything goes well in the next book for all of them.
This book is hot, very intriguing and will captivate you the moment you turn to page 1!!
I DO WANT THE NEXT BOOK LIKE ASAP THOUGH!!!!
Man, the things that the next book should answer!!!

You know that a book is good when after reading it, you think about your life, reflect on it and say.. "Man I got it better than most people." I don'tYou know that a book is good when after reading it, you think about your life, reflect on it and say.. "Man I got it better than most people." I don't care if it's fiction. Life lessons are learned anywhere at anytime. This book is just that. Kick Push will let you in on a secret... Having a problem is not the end of the world. In fact, it might just jump start your life.
The story of Joshua and Becca is not a typical one. In fact, it has more depth than your average romance book. I say that with full conviction because this book destroyed me. Did I expect that? In a way, yes. I already knew what I'm going into when I read Jay McLean's books. What surprised me though is the level of camaraderie that I feel for Becca. I mean, I've known and rooted for Joshua ever since he was introduced in the previous book, but Becca is a nice addition to the fictional women that I would want to support if suddenly she becomes real.
Alright, so just a quick tidbit about the two of them...
Joshua, again, I already love him. He's my kind of guy. He's one of those characters that makes you want to go inside the book, hug him and just ride off to the sunset with him - even with the kid. Yep, a kid. That makes matters more complicated, eh? However, I am so proud of the fact that my guy, Joshua, stuck around no matter what. No parents? Eh whatever. No mom for his boy? Fine. He's there 100% of the time. Sure he needed help, but who the heck doesn't? We're all getting by with other people 99% of the time anyway. Don't bother denying it. Joshua had to grow up really fast. He dropped almost everything good in his life becaue of a situation that he had no control of. Problems after problems pile up in his life and he's just starting to feel like can breathe. So yeah, life interrupted, that's what this guy has. Until he meets a girl who further interrupts his life in what I could definitely say, A FRIKKIN GOOD WAY.
Becca... is a mystery. Something happened to her that made her closed off. I won't go into details with that, but just know that her character isn't something that you read about everyday. She's beautiful, but at the same time, she's complicated. She's quiet. AS IN REALLY QUIET. I think I appreciate that a lot about her. She listens and she cares. She comes into Joshua's and Tommy's life without any mean bone in her body. She's opens up a little and lets them both in. Especially Tommy. Gosh that boy can get into anyone's heart at any point in time! Anyway, Becca is perfect for Joshua because a. She loves Tommy and b. She loves Joshua. That's all there is to it.
When things start to unravel... It's up to the two of them to handle their issues. I can't tell y'all anything about their differences, but I must say... The storyline of this book is quite powerful, it would knock you off your chairs.
I admit to being quite irritated with the both of them for some of their choices in this book, but that's the beauty of a story... I'm irritated one minute, then I'm forgiving them the next. With this book... It's a real roller coaster. I'm not even mincing words there, ROLLER COASTER is what this is. My emotions are just so badly affected that I'm actually making this review a few hours before I have to put it up and a few weeks after I read it. I couldn't put a lock on how I really feel for a few days, so I couldn't write my review as fast as I usually do. That's how powerful this book is. It's also evidenced by the fact that everything is still fresh in my mind and in my heart days and days after reading it, and nope, I haven't re-read this book yet.
All in all.. I guess what I'm trying to say is that this book will teach you something. You'll definitely get something from it and I promise you, after reading this book... You'll say that you have felt so much more than you bartered for.
As for me, Josh and Becca's story taught me how to appreciate little things. It taught me that no matter which problem comes my way... There's still hope and there are people who will care. Problems are problems. They remain that until you face them and try to solve them.
So there, that's what I got from this book.
I hope you get something from it too.
God knows I did.

This was one of my most awaited books since I read Never Been Kissed (the first one). The first book left a lot of qI love Hunter. Faults and all. :)
This was one of my most awaited books since I read Never Been Kissed (the first one). The first book left a lot of questions and I really wanted to know what goes on in that beautiful yet tortured head of Hunter's.
Soooo wish granted!
You can say I'm a bit biased because I already love him in NBK. I don't care. It is what it is. :)
Alright.. so the story is pretty much the same with NBK, only in his POV, plus it's a little longer that NBK.
For those who haven't read NBK, just a quick description:
HUNTER is a diabetic with a son named Matty who's also diabetic. :< I know, I know.. sucks. They both are just trying to get by one day at a time. Even though both of them feel so tired (sick) most of the time, Hunter needs to take care of the two of them. I imagine it's so hard to take care of another person when you can't even take care of yourself very well. He's in a bad place too, financially so he's just making do of basic stuff. Anyway, long story short... Hunter needs a hero.
Or a heroine.
In the form of Sera.
You know what's funny? I didn't see this one coming. I didn't see that SERA (our heroine) could really be a heroine in Hunter's eyes.
Okay so why is she a heroine in his eyes?
✓She single handedly brought him so a hospital... with a kid in tow. ✓She knows Diabetes like the back of her hand. ✓She knows how to handle Hunter's mood swing. ✓She might think that Hunter's outside package is DA BOMB, but she firmly believes that it's what's on the inside that matters. Oh and his effed up genetics doesn't matter too! ;) ✓She doesn't see having Diabetes like it's the end of the world. ✓She actually likes putting other people first before herself. ✓She doesn't treat Matty like it's a hardship when he's around/ ✓She reads mother effin Harry Potter to kids for goodness sake! ✓She gives great life lessons... and kisses! ;*
Yeah, she's just perfect in his eyes.
These two go from being complete strangers to completing each other's lives. Yes, they go through bumps here and there since relationships naturally aren't easy. I think readers should be patient and understanding with Hunter. He's not your typically perfect hero. In fact, this books shows just how imperfect he is. Read this and see how Hunter finds out that needing help is nothing to be ashamed of especially when you're doing everything you can already. You'll also see just how sweet his mind works, albeit he's a little preoccupied sometimes. Ha! Yeah, this book is kind of hot too. ;)
Soooo there. I'm giving this a perfect score because it made my day and it's worth the wait. :) ...more

♬Pretty, pretty please, don't you ever, ever feel Like you are less than, fuckin' perfect Pretty, pretty please, if you ever, ever feel like you're nothing You're fuckin' perfect to me♬
So yeah, people. I'd like to say that this book, to me, is a welcome surprise. A surprise that I have wanted to have since the beginning.
Christian's thoughts made me sad, happy, hot, frustrated, ambivalent etc. Bottom line is, he made me feel a lot. A LOT. I love him the way he is. The way he's clueless about his own feelings. The way he wants to protect people, and yet I want to personally protect him. The way he appreciates little things and give away big things like it's nothing. I love the way he cares without wanting something back because he think he's not worthy. HE'S WORTHY, by the way.
Frankly, I loved this book because I love the guy. That's just it.
My wish is granted. What more can I ask for?
P.S. Bad comments on this review will be deleted right away, so don't even bother typing if you have nothing good to say....more

CAGED: TAKEDOWN TEAGUE is a very different read for me. It has a topic that I've never read about before. Unfortunately, it would be a big spoiler if I put the topic here. Soooo I'll try to just focus on how I felt while reading this book. :)
First, about the characters...
LIAM - Liam oh Liam. . . The wonderful yet tortured man. He's strong, resilient, very observant and from what I've read so far.. HE CARES. He cares a whole lot. About people... People he barely know. I don't know if you'll agree with me, but to me, he's such a gentleman. You see, he's a fighter.. He's very edgy, always wired and ready to go, but with the girl who changes his life? Nope. He takes it all sooooo sloooowww. He waits and he becomes a true friend. I love that about him.
Speaking of that girl...
TRIA - She's an enigma to me at first. I truly didn't know what to make of her, what she was thinking etc. The book is in Liam's POV, so I didn't get much from her. Anyway, what I do know is that she needs help. :( A LOT OF IT. She's a student who's struggling financially. I admire her sense of loyalty. She's loyal to the ones she care about. I also like it that she doesn't let pride get in the way of things. When things grow too tough for her, Liam is there. He creates an awesome solution and she accepts it. I say awesome, because really.. It's perfect! Heh! ;) Another thing that I won't tell you about.
They become closer and so much more than what they were from the start. I'm very impressed with their dynamics because the friendship is there. Liam would protect Tria and Tria wants to really be with him. However, both of their secrets threaten that. This is where I become shocked. I honestly don't know whose secret is heavier.
Of course I wouldn't tell you what these secrets are. I'm just saying that they need to overcome these before they become truly together and live in peace. :)
All in all, this was an interesting, hot and sweet read with a promise of unlocking a lot of things in the second installment! CAN'T WAIT FOR THAT!!!

Let's first get this out of the way.. I did not read the first book because i figured that since i already watcheI NOW KNOW WHAT THE HYPE IS ALL ABOUT
Let's first get this out of the way.. I did not read the first book because i figured that since i already watched the movie, i won't be thrilled with the first book anymore.. BIG MISTAKE! The book was nowhere like the movie. I mean, basing from the second book... it totally isn't one and the same. Ugh.. just look at the age. Anywayy.. i admit that i loved the movie. So i promise to read the first book when i get the time off.. or when i feel like it. haha.
So i loved the book. YES i love it!!! Actually, i listened to the audiobook while doing chores and checked the physical book from time to time. It was an enjoyable read.. FUN FUN FUN. Lots of adventure and lots of morals for kids. I mean, of course i sooo don't pass for a kid anymore yet i feel like i re-learned some values. Percy as a hero is surely a good kid. I like Annabeth as well because she's a brave one and because she never left Percy even if she calls her stupid 50% of the time. Their banters are precious. haha. I also grew to love Tyson.. hmm.. well.. because he's soooo frikkin loyal to Percy even at the time wherein Percy doesn't want him as a brother. I think i'd love to see Tyson in the next movie (yea, i'd like for the movie to have a sequel and i don't mind the difference in age.. i'll get over it.. eventually. ahha). Grover on the other hand... haha.. hahahahaha! i can definitely laugh out loud with his scenes here. He's one funny Satyr! what a dashing.. i mean blushing bride! Haha.. Oh well.. i guess it's quite obvious that i love the main characters. They made the whole book colorful and full of life. It's like i'm with them throughout their journey. I love it. The plot is just right..totally awesome and the end part? SHOCKER.
You know how KA's books are sometimes so long? Well, I love that fact. In the case of the 'BURG series..HOLD ON is an AMAZING END TO A BELOVED SERIES.
You know how KA's books are sometimes so long? Well, I love that fact. In the case of the 'BURG series.. These characters became so real to me I became attached to them! Merry and Cher? These are not your everyday characters. They're so unique that they require your full attention or else you'll miss something. I can definitely say that in Rocky's book, I didn't even see Merry and Cher being a couple.
They took me by surprise and damn... WHAT A SURPRISE!
Cher definitely has the strength of a woman that I would want to become. She's can stand tall and face foes with her head held high. I can definitely say that she shows her true colors through and through. She has a stubbornness to her that is cute and beloved by many however, it's also one of her flaws. I won't divulge any further info about that, but know that I warned you. Haha! She is pretty stubborn and there are times that you won't like what she's doing... to herself really. What I love about her though is how she is with her son. She raised him with a coolness that most will just love. She's definitely the mom + dad figure! She's cool and yet, still can be stern with rules. She will do anything, purely anything for her son and that's a grand thing in my book. She's actually the star of this book! I'm telling you! :)
We have Cher. Badass woman. Very likable character!
Now we move on to Merry...
Merry is a wonderful human being with all his values intact. As a cop, I think he likes what he do mainly because it brings him a sense of justice even though most of the time, it's no fun at all. He's very attuned to his environment. I think it's in his genes to protect people. He has his own demons, sure.. but who doesn't, right? His issues run deep and when I say deep, I mean slap-him-kick-him-in-the-ass kind of deep. It's a really good thing that Cher is the way she is because she can handle all that. It's one thing that you have to look forward to. Merry and his own brand of hot is a force you don't reckon with. You have to read this book, if only to see what lengths he'll go to be the man for Cher. He's sweet, yet tough, thoughtful, yet very stern sometimes. He's a good mixture actually. :) You'll love him!
Their circumstance is unusual. I mean, they were close friends and just friends for a long time. Merry being all hung up on his ex, which frankly, I still don't approve. lol. Nobody does. When they finally get together, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEIR FRIENDS are HAPPY. However, there's a certain uniqueness to their pairing. Sometimes it felt as if it was Cher who's at the top of their relationship, but then most of the time, Merry would handle their current dilemma and I say to myself, he's got this. He might need a lot of understanding, but he sure got it right in the "showing your feelings" part.
Anyway, who cares about who handles the relationship.. the most important part is that they work, right? Damn awesome!
I have to say that I'm also very happy with the amount of time that they spend with their friends and loved ones in this book. I love it that it didn't revolve around just them. It revolved around their ties with other people and it makes the book extra special to me.
So there. I'm not giving out any more spoilers. Just know that you'll probably hate two or three characters, but you'll ultimately love the main ones. If you have been following the entire series, BRACE YOURSELVES for the nostalgia. I SWEAR!!
This book made me happy and sad at the same time. Happy for each and everyone of them and sad because it ended. :( I like to think that with how Kristen Ashley works, there's a certain beauty to ending a series because when all of it has been read and done, it's time to start a new story. :)
I can say that I'll still go back to this one though. In any case, I have never ever NOT re-read a book by Kristen Ashley. This series won't be the first one.

REVIEWER'S NOTE: Whenever I read fiction books, though I know they're not real, I always see their potential to be real. I say "Oh, this can happen in real life."... Well, this book's dilemma could definitely happen in real life! I'm a nurse, so I know just how serious Epilepsy could be. I have personally witnessed attacks like this before and it's not pretty. Now, for this book to describe just how the family truly cared for Caleb (the boy with this illness)? Let's just say it touched my heart big time.
Okay.. now onto the review!
Another book that makes me feel like I should treasure the life that I've been given!
To be very honest, I had little expectation from this book. I just wanted to read a good book that will make me feel better. I've been ill these past few weeks, so I just wanted to relax and go hide inside a romantic book. I also confess that I read this because of the hot guy in the cover, which if I may say so, is the perfect CREW!! Anyway, with that shallow reason... I got to discover a book that will surely touch your heart.
Crew is a character that you'd want your daughter to date and it's not just because he's handsome and hot and all that girly definition of a man. It's because he's responsible, he puts the other person's needs before him, he thinks like he has the weight of the world on his shoulders, he is the perfect combination of alpha and husband material. But of course, he ain't perfect. Crew has his moments of umm.. well.. hot headedness. However, being the forgiving reader that I am, I always forgive him. How he interacts with his family definitely makes up for his lack of social skills sometimes. :)
Now on the other hand.. we have the selfless and truly kind Hudson. Such a beautiful character! I imagined her as a good kind of girl, very pretty inside and out. She's a helper, a fixer and a natural born nurturer. She finds herself head over heels with Crew and off they go on a roller coaster of emotions. I can't imagine living a life like hers. She's actually more free than many other characters I come across. Her family is one of a kind. There are so many of them and all of them look promising. Anyway, she's just someone you'd want your son to hold on to forever. A good kind of woman who's smart and who could also be fun. :)
The story here revolves around their interaction with each others' families. It's their sense of responsibility that will make you love them both. What I love about this too is that the people around them, the parents, the siblings, even the right kind of friends are monumental to building their kind of a relationship. They helped these two characters grow and they made things easy for them and that's a big thing because when you read this, you'll see just how serious life can be.
Watch them get together, stay together, break apart and find each other once again. :)
Such a heartfelt (and hot) story!
Recommended for those who want their hearts tugged.
I have been meaning to read another wolf series lately...and clearly, I chose well.

I have been meaning to read another wolf series lately...and clearly, I chose well.
Pack Challenge didn't disappoint. It's not everyday that I get to read about an unlikely badass heroine. It's awesome how Sara, the limping scarred girl became alpha female to a wolf pack. Most of all, I just love her because she doesn't give up. She even endured the pain in her leg alone for such a long time.. and that is something to be said about her character. Nicely done, Ms. Laurenston. Zach on the other hand is handsome, strong, hot etc... well, he's just about everything that an alpha-male should be.
Their story is filled with humor, hot and sexy scenes, plus touching ones. I was teary-eyed about how the wolves (pures) treated Sara. Honestly, I wanted to comfort her too! I was really feeling sorry for her at first. As it turns out, I didn't need to cause she can totally wipe the floor with everybody else.
I love Zach and Sara's friends as well. They're all a bunch of fun balls. Their banters are really funny sometimes that I laugh out loud.. alone. I'm not sure yet who's gonna be next but I'm hoping that it's Conall.
So there we have it... another 5 stars! ^_^ I love you Sara! You're one of the best she-wolves. ;)...more
First off, I love a book that goes beyond what I expected it to be. This one surely did it. I expected just to have a good racing book, but NOOO Miss Towle surprised me with the level of emotion that her book can evoke.
This story is about two people who meet, GETS ATTRACTED TO ONE ANOTHER STRAIGHT AWAY, but fights it off because of clear boundaries. They go on with it for the longest time until BAM! They couldn't take it anymore. You will definitely love their delicious push and pull! I couldn't wait for them to be together right away, but I can't say that I didn't like how they reacted when they can see each other and they can't BE WITH EACH OTHER.
Ah, the feels!
Their dilemma, in my opinion, is not such a big one. It didn't make my head hurt. It just made me want them to be together more. I love how it ended and I especially love that epilogue. Watch out for that people!
Just read it!
I promise you, you will not be disappointed! ...more
I have been a big fan of this series from the start. There's just something about it that calls out to me. I can definitely say#PLAYER is #PERFECT!!!
I have been a big fan of this series from the start. There's just something about it that calls out to me. I can definitely say that the author saved the best for last!
I shall try to break it down without giving out big spoilers. . .
The characters are more mature now.
Rimmel had gone from being a nerd who hides efficiently behind her clothes and big glasses to being a proud girlfriend who tells everyone how awesome her guy is.
*imaginary* Rimmel would like to borrow a line from Taylor Swift's song and turn it into Rim's song for Romeo--> 'cause you know I love this PLAYER... and he LOVES the GAME!!!
Seriously, she's so supportive! The number one cheerleader! I also love it that in this book, our Rimmel didn't back down. She has a good, sturdy backbone now. It also helps that Romeo is always there for her. He's the reassuring soul all the way for Rim.
Romeo on the other hand is everything you'll ever hope for a guy his age and then some more. He's something, I tell you that. When this series started, I thought he was just a jock. Oh man, if you can just see his transition from that jock to a guy who puts everything about him second to everything about Rim? You'd love him to pieces! I am so, so sure that you will love him here.
I think I've already said this about their relationship, but I'd like to reiterate it... THIS IS A STRONG PAIR. Nothing, and I mean nothing can separate them. The best thing about them is that they kept being together no matter what happened and mind you.. there are so many things that could have ruined them! But no kiddos, this pair can stand the tests! They are adamant not to let other things spoil what they made for themselves. Especially Romeo. That guy. MYGAWD, he's always there to save the day, always there to make things better, always there to have an easy or not so easy way out.
It's just plain perfect. I can't say anything bad. I just love it!
If you ask me about the secondary characters... I would definitely describe them as... EFFECTIVE. I really got angry with Rim's dad, then I also go angry with that psycho Zach. On the other hand, I love, love, love Braeden. I can't wait for him to have his own book! If I already love him now and it's still not his book..... what more when I'm already holding his story in my hands? GOSH! I also love the other two girls because they're awesome girlfriends. Needless to say, I really want everyone to have their own books! *BATS EYELASHES TO THE AUTHOR* ^_______^
O-kay. So that's about it. I love it. I love it. I love it.
I'm still reeling now from what I've just read and honestly, I'm having a hard time organizing my thoughts rThis is one story that I'll never forget.
I'm still reeling now from what I've just read and honestly, I'm having a hard time organizing my thoughts right now.
First things first, I have to say that I will try my best not to give out any spoilers in this review. I think it's crucial that I let other readers find out things at their own time.
I'll try and focus on my feelings while reading this instead. :)
Alright, here it goes...
The Summer the World Ended revolves around the life of our heroine named Riley. If you ask me what her characteristics are, I'd say that she's your typical modern teenager. She's witty, she has her own insecurities and she loves playing video games.
Unfortunately, for this typical teen... the world gave her not-so-typical problems. She experiences what a 14 year old girl should never have to experience. At least not at that age. Lonely, upset and full of questions against the world, she goes with her dad (yeah, the dad who left her and her mom 6 years ago) to somewhere far far away. I say far far away because of the way she describes the place. No big buildings, no phone lines, no signal, no cable. Really a place out of nowhere. I guess it's safe to say that she was having a really hard time transitioning from the city-feel to the deeply-rural-feel. It was curious how she was able to hold on to her sanity.
I felt so bad for her because I totally think she's been through enough at this point. Luckily, being with her dad was not so bad. They crack up jokes at times. I find his dad adorable even with him being so busy with all of his radio activity for the government. With all his quirks, he's quite a likable character. He could be so protective of her, he could be weird, he could be fun, he could also cause her so much embarassment! hint: condoms errr... haha! He could also be badass.. like teaching her how to use guns. That was amazing! He might not be the best dad, but he tries. No matter what, that's still the important thing.
She also meets a new friend, Kieran. They form a new bond and have a good time together. Until everything goes into chaos. Bombs fly and she's once again whisked away, but this time out of pure terror. Once again, in one summer, she asks so many questions like: How are they going to survive underground? How are the people outside? Is everyone dead? Will they be alright once they go back topside? Those are questions that will surely be answered..... but I won't tell ya!
You must read it!!!
I think it's also safe to promise that you will never see that ending coming! I swear!! Come find me if you actually guessed the right ending, but I'm already telling you now... Dude, you won't!
I'm giving this a 5 not just because I truly like Riley, but because of that ending!!! THAT UNIQUE AND CHART TOPPING ENDING! This book is so unique, it deserves all the stars in the world. Totally love it!

There's nothing more beautiful than a woman who stands up to life even if it has kicked her in bad places.
WhatYAYYY!! I CAN FINALLY POST MY REVIEW!!
There's nothing more beautiful than a woman who stands up to life even if it has kicked her in bad places.
What I love about Kristen Ashley is that whenever I pick up a new book from her, I never know what I'm going to get. I didn't read SOARING's blurb before I read it. KA is just one of those authors wherein I never have to read blurbs. I just know in my heart, I'm going to love the story and characters. Amy's story is not perfect. In fact, at one point in time, she was really imperfect. This is all about her trying her best to make the imperfect, perfect. :)
Amy had a good life. A husband she thought she loved and loved her back. Children whom she dedicated her life to. Money wasn't a problem. Then a blow strucks and she... Well, she lost control of herself and acted out. Literally acted out. She's left without a family, but just like any other loving mom, she follows them to an entirely new place and tries to piece them back together again. That's where this story starts.
She meets Mickey, the hot fire fighter guy with somewhat the same situation as her. They actually have a fun start of friendship... but then something happens that makes them fall apart before they even started. And so begins their hilarious banters and the amazing push and pull of these characters. What's so good about this part is the anticipation. You'll look forward to them being together because you know sparks are already flying when they're not even together yet! Just imagine how beautiful it would be once they got together.. Ah, pure bliss!
One must say that they got the love part down to a T. However... This book is not just about that. It's about other profound topics too. It's about family, the ups and downs of divorce, the effects of that to the kids... It's also about bullying. Just read it! You'll see what I'm talking about. Only Kristen Ashley breezes through many life topics and knit it beautifully in one package.
So what did I love best about this book? I would say that it's definitely AMY's character. Kristen Ashley has this amazing power of bringing characters into redemption. Amy was so lost and devastated in the past that it made her do ugly things ( which, I think is still justifiable all things considered). When she realized her mistakes, she started making up for everything. She knew that she had to be the one to reach out. She tried and tried to make things better even when it hurt her. I was hurting for her character, but I was hoping for the best. I am so glad that she got what she really worked hard for. It's a true measure of a person when she fights on no matter how hurt she feels. So yeah, Amy is one of my top KA heroines. She awesome! :)
It couldn't have ended better!
I am so sure that this will leave a really nice impression to all women out there. It will leave a mark in your hearts. :)

One of my best Action - Suspense - Romance read so far!
Here's one story that i think i'll always remember. I was really curious about this. I thoughtOne of my best Action - Suspense - Romance read so far!
Here's one story that i think i'll always remember. I was really curious about this. I thought I Team was a group of mercenaries or special ops. I never thought that it's a friggin news team! Genius!
The story revolved around a writer and a senator. Yeah, an unlikely couple but they worked things out. I love the plot! totally dig the paper! Reece is totally dreamy! He's everything i want in a hero! Smart sexy and realllllyy sweet. On the other hand, i love Kara because she's like WONDER WOMAN. She does everything and she's very strong. Her character was built to withstand pressure and everything else. I was so engrossed and i really wanted to find out who's behind everything. To tell you the truth, i thought the mastermind was the hero's best friend. I'm still sad for him though.
Anyway... i was strangely reminded of this while reading Extreme Exposure:
yea! Maid in Manhattan. Not that Kara was a maid.. but she's a single mom and Reese is a Senator! ^_^
