I can definitely say that I am okay with this story being short. it's because to me, this book needed an immediate conclusion. I wanted the couple to be "okay" right away, so O'm perfectly fine with the length.
Nick and Ari's situation isn't very unique. In fact, I think many couples around the world experience this. Sometimes, the need to have a child is so overwhelming that couples forget what they really started together. They lose sight of each other and just grow apart after that. This is what exactly happened to Nick and Ari. They had to have a life altering event happen to them before finaly talking to each other again. That was just the first step. This book is about their journey to finding each other again. There are some bumps on their road, but if you ask me, the characters are so devoted to each other that there's no doubt that there would be a happy ending for them.
This is an emotional story. It will make you think as well as feel. Short, but really powerful, that's what this is.
I wish that all short stories are like this. :)(less)

Paper Airplanes is my biggest surprise for the month of February. The title doesn't really give out anything. You don't know what you're getting... just that there will be a cute couple involved in it. I don't read blurbs nowadays, so I honestly didn't know what I would be getting with this book. It's a very lucky coincidence because I LOVE THE BOOK!!! This is a winner and by far my best for February.
First things first, you have to know that this novel is very "TIMELY". I don't know if I'm being unfair by giving out this biggest hint, but I REALLY WANT PEOPLE TO READ THIS, so here it is... The theme of this book is about how life goes on after people survive a shooting incident. I won't go into details, but yes... This books tackles that. I hope to God that I can capture your attention with just that.
The story revolves around two people who had fate indirectly bring them together. Jared, the ex-awkward-teen who hid from people because of a sordid past. is now a changed man. He grew up into a hot, seriously smart and broody guy. Then we have Cassie, the ex-cheerleader-slash-homecoming-queen. She went through a very traumatic thing and is trying to turn things around. Their paths collide and sparks start to fly.
It was very cute and endearing, the way these two reacted to each other. It's like a reverse of roles for the female and male gender. Cassie is more aggressive than Jared so it's just... so cute (for the lack of a better term, I'd risk redundancy.. So sue me lol). I was so glad for the alternate POV's. I wouldn't want to miss out on Jared's thoughts, or Cassie's for that matter. They were both just so intriguing. The dynamics between the geek and Ms. popular? PRICELESS.
At first, I thought I'd hate Cassie because she may turn around and be mean, but no... She was consistently nice and she really just wants to change everything. Jared on the other hand, is so insecure at first and just so sensitive. He was so rude to Cassie that I wanted to pull him out of the book and make him understand that Cassie is being nice to him! I understand his reservations though. His past speaks for himself. Anyway, he's a good guy and completely got over his preconceived thoughts about Cassie quickly. They made up and they battled everything together. This book has a really nice slice of life touch. I love the fact that they fight and then make up right away. It's just soooo cute. :)
I admit to feeling scared though, because of the gravity of what happened to them. I thought, oh hell.. maybe the best friend will die! However, no... the author is such a nice person that she didn't let anyone get killed in the end! haha I'm just plain morbid like that.
Everyone got their happy ending. Hmmm... speaking of the ending... It made me feel as if I'm still waiting for something. I wish there's a novella that will continue their love story. I wish Jared would just propose hahaha. That's actually what I'm just looking for. ^___^ LOL
The only bad thing that I noticed here is the lengthy explanations/internal monologues. I don't know if I would've loved the story more if they were shorter though. I just know that it felt tiring to read through all of them.
Anyway, all in all, I am giving this a book a five because of the originality and the various emotions that the author can evoke from me. I love laughing and crying with characters like they're real people and I'm just reading their real life story. THAT is exactly what happened to me while reading this book, so to me... it deserves all the praises.

One author posted this on her timeline in facebook and I was just blown away. He's just so irresistible, looking at the keys like that! Mmmmm!
Anyway, onto the review...
The book was surprisingly short. Well, in the standards and not anyone else's. I didn't expect much after that since I usually don't tend to like short books. However, I was proved wrong by this book.
Sometimes, good things come in small packages, or in this case, good things come in a few pages. ❤
I'd like to say that I fell in love with the characters straight away, but alas, that wasn't what happened. I didn't like them right away because of the way they both left things when they separated. I thought that both characters gave up easily in the past. They obviously wanted to remedy that from the start of this book and that made me read on. I wanted to see just how far they would go to get back to each other. As it turns out, I chose right when I chose to read on.
The thing about getting-back together books is that they're all bitter sweet. You find out about the ugly things that happen to them in the past and you just want to bash both of their heads and lock them up inside a room to help them kiss and make up. That is exactly how I felt about Evan and Madison's story. I wanted them to get back together right away, but the author had other plans. She made me wait. I seriously hate waiting, but in this case? I'll let it pass. Not only was the guy such a sweet heart, he was also just so... determined. The pacing of the story felt just right.
"Words zoomed through my head, but I chose to stay silent. Instead, inch by slow inch, I bent down until our foreheads were touching. She didn’t move. Our mouths were a mere centimeter apart and I could feel her warm breath on mine, the sweet scent of minty gum intoxicating my senses along with the delicious smell of her shampoo. My heart was beating fast and my breath quickened. Maddy’s tongue peeked out, swiftly sweeping across her pouting lower lip. I wanted so bad to kiss her. I needed to kiss her. But Genna’s voice kept ringing in my ears. It was too soon. Damn, Gen for getting in my head. So as quickly as it began, I ended it. With a soft press of my lips to her temple, I finally said, “See you soon, Sunshine.” And I turned around and walked away. Only this time, I knew I would be coming back."
>>I love this scene because of the delicate way he treated Madison. He understood her reservations and planned to do it right this time... And oh man! He was darn successful! He had Madison with one song. I love how Madison also fought to forgive and understand Evan. She's such a nice girl that I totally wanted her to be happy.
They did you know... They had "that" happy ending and it was all good. :)
There weren't a lot of complications here. Maybe that's why I'm giving it a 4.5. I thought that Michael will stir up trouble, but no dice. He was just annoying at first.
All in all, this was such a great read! I am now convinced that I should be reading Ms. Prestsater's books. ^__^

Let's first get this out of the way.. I did not read the first book because i figured that since i already watched the movie, i won't be thrilled with the first book anymore.. BIG MISTAKE! The book was nowhere like the movie. I mean, basing from the second book... it totally isn't one and the same. Ugh.. just look at the age. Anywayy.. i admit that i loved the movie. So i promise to read the first book when i get the time off.. or when i feel like it. haha.
So i loved the book. YES i love it!!! Actually, i listened to the audiobook while doing chores and checked the physical book from time to time. It was an enjoyable read.. FUN FUN FUN. Lots of adventure and lots of morals for kids. I mean, of course i sooo don't pass for a kid anymore yet i feel like i re-learned some values. Percy as a hero is surely a good kid. I like Annabeth as well because she's a brave one and because she never left Percy even if she calls her stupid 50% of the time. Their banters are precious. haha. I also grew to love Tyson.. hmm.. well.. because he's soooo frikkin loyal to Percy even at the time wherein Percy doesn't want him as a brother. I think i'd love to see Tyson in the next movie (yea, i'd like for the movie to have a sequel and i don't mind the difference in age.. i'll get over it.. eventually. ahha). Grover on the other hand... haha.. hahahahaha! i can definitely laugh out loud with his scenes here. He's one funny Satyr! what a dashing.. i mean blushing bride! Haha.. Oh well.. i guess it's quite obvious that i love the main characters. They made the whole book colorful and full of life. It's like i'm with them throughout their journey. I love it. The plot is just right..totally awesome and the end part? SHOCKER.

Oh, I just love surprises! Ms. Aleo is now one of my favorite authors.
I have been doubting Audrey's character ever since I read about her in Fallon's story. I didn't like her because she was such a push over. LEVI bossed her around and hurt her a lot. In this novel, it somewhat also started out that way. Except when Tate came into the picture... my young, heart stricken-by-death-of-family Tate. He's a ray of sunshine in Audrey's life. He was able to reassure Audrey that she's desirable and she deserves a happily ever after.
I feel ambivalent about this scene... I mean, I feel bad about Audrey's paranoia but I feel worst because Tate straight forwardly admitted that he's hurt:
“You are going to let me leave aren’t you?” “I care about you too much to do this to you,” she said as the tears started to fall in heaps. “No, don’t cry, you don’t get to cry! I’m not the one breaking your heart! You’re breaking mine!” he yelled, “You are throwing away something that could be real, that could be everything you want. What I want!” “Tate, please,” Audrey whispered, “please don’t hate me, just know that I am doing this for you.” “Doing what?! Hurting me?!” This wasn’t going the way she thought it would. She didn’t expect him to fight back, to demand answers. She didn’t think he would be this hurt and upset, but she could see the hurt in his eyes. She was hurting him, and she didn’t want to but what else could she do. “Damn it!” he yelled once more, picking up his jeans and putting them on, “You said you didn’t want to lead me on but damn it, Audrey, why didn’t you say no last night? Can’t you see that you mean something to me? That I’ve been waiting for last night to happen for weeks and then you finally give it to me and you are taking it away again? How is that fair? How can you hurt me like that?” “Tate, please, I don’t want to hurt you, I didn’t expect last night to happen. It just did. That’s why we shouldn’t even be friends, we should just walk away.” “Even with you saying that and hurting me right now, I can’t imagine my life without you! You’ve weaved yourself in my life and now you want back out?” “You have to understand that I am looking out for you.” “How?!” he yelled out, making her jump, “How is crushing my heart looking out for me?” “I don’t want to hurt you,” she whispered again, “but I don’t know what to do, you don’t want to be with someone who is damaged like me. There are so many other girls out there.” He looked over at her, shaking his head, “You are always going to throw away potential happiness, you know that? You are always going to sit back and let life happen around you while you drown in your sorrows. You don’t want to be happy, you want to work at a shit ass job, you want to go from asshole to asshole, you want this life. You could change it all, Audrey, and I’m not going to sit here and let you hurt me until you finally realize that. If I walk out that door, I’m done.” His words were like a knife cutting her right down the center of her chest. She had never felt such intense emotional pain and she knew it was because she was hurting someone. She had never hurt anyone, and to be hurting the one person she cared most about was honestly tearing her apart. He was more than right, about everything. Everything he said was the truth, and damn it, he deserved the truth! “I can’t have kids!” she yelled out. When she realized what she said, she covered her mouth, tears falling over her hands as she watched his face change from anger to confusion. Tate took in a few more breath before he shrugged his shoulders. “Okay? What does that have to do with anything?” Audrey shook her head as her heart continued to pound in her chest. Did she really just tell him that, and did he really not understand how that has everything to do with why she couldn’t be with him? “You want kids, Tate. I can’t give them to you, so how in the world am I right for you?” “Are you kidding me right now? I don’t care about that. I care about you. I care about us, what we could have.” Shaking her head, she looked away, “You are saying that now but later you’re gonna wish you never had. I can’t give you a child, Tate, I am defective and you deserve a woman who can!” “Are you serious? You letting what could be a problem later ruin us now? Why can’t we cross that bridge later? We aren’t getting married tomorrow, Audrey, we are not having kids the next day. We are dating, we are getting to know each other better to see if we would want to get married and have kids.” “I told you, I am looking towards the future and if I know I can’t give you the world, why waste my time now?” Tate shook his head, a soulless laugh leaving his lips, “I can’t believe this. Why waste your time, huh? Is that what spending time with me, kissing me, making love to me is? A waste of time because you can’t give me children?” “I don’t want to hurt you.” “But you are!” he yelled, moving past her, “You are hurting me now, Audrey, and what I don’t understand is that it’s over something that isn’t a deal breaker. I don’t like your laugh, your eyes, your face, or your personality because you can give me children later; I like it because of you, because I like you.” Audrey wiped her face free of tears as a sob ripped through her. She didn’t want to hurt him at all, but he wasn’t listening. He wasn’t looking towards the future. He was looking at right now and right now everything was fine, but what about when he wants to hold a child that has his DNA, then what? She would never be able to give him that, and she would be damned if she was going to give him all of her now for him to throw away later. Looking up at his beautifully hurt face, Audrey said, “I’m sorry, Tate.” Tate gave her one last look before turning and leaving the room. She listened as he ran down the stairs and when he slammed the door, she was left heartbroken all over again. She wanted to run after him, tell him he was right, but she couldn’t. She knew she was doing the right thing. Or at least, she hoped.
And Tate sure is a sensitive guy...
“I’m sorry,” she whispered into his chest, “I was an idiot.” Tate let out a long breath. “Look at me, Audrey,” he whispered back. She looked up; his face only inches away as his eyes locked with hers. His hands came up to cup her face as he shook her head, “Is this real?” She nodded quickly, “Yes.” “I have been a wreck, and I yelled at Lucas. Please don’t do this to me again.”
~~I love it that Tate isn't the type of guy who hides his feelings. He made one helluva hero. I love him.
The plot is really good, hot even! I'm glad that they ended up well. I'm also very happy that I got a glimpse of Fallon and Lucas' story. Everyone's having a baby! It's a blast! ^_^

Anyway, right onto the plot! I will always say that I love Seth's story, however, Sam and Jules' story is more complex and more meaningful than the first book. The complications here are deeper and honestly, I don't know if everything's been taken care of. It still had a good ending though.
Sam had to deal with his dad's illness and a lot more. He's broody and thinks that he needs to fix everyhing. Jules had to deal with an ex who's unfotunately an addict and has been extorting money from her. She's a straight forward woman with such a big heart. They are really quite a pair. They both have insecurities and they're both hot. haha. I love how they are somehow a couple-not-a-couple.
The best thing about this book is that jt will make you laugh. It's too hilarious. I think I will never forget the "ELI PICTURE" part as well as their shooting game. :) I had fun laughing with Jules in many scenes. She's a riot. X is also something else. I seriously can't wait until that guy gets his book. I love him and how he seems to be such a know it all when it comes to his friends' love lives. Hah! We'll see how he handles his own.

I have been meaning to read another wolf series lately...and clearly, I chose well.
Pack Challenge didn't disappoint. It's not everyday that I get to read about an unlikely badass heroine. It's awesome how Sara, the limping scarred girl became alpha female to a wolf pack. Most of all, I just love her because she doesn't give up. She even endured the pain in her leg alone for such a long time.. and that is something to be said about her character. Nicely done, Ms. Laurenston. Zach on the other hand is handsome, strong, hot etc... well, he's just about everything that an alpha-male should be.
Their story is filled with humor, hot and sexy scenes, plus touching ones. I was teary-eyed about how the wolves (pures) treated Sara. Honestly, I wanted to comfort her too! I was really feeling sorry for her at first. As it turns out, I didn't need to cause she can totally wipe the floor with everybody else.
I love Zach and Sara's friends as well. They're all a bunch of fun balls. Their banters are really funny sometimes that I laugh out loud.. alone. I'm not sure yet who's gonna be next but I'm hoping that it's Conall.
So there we have it... another 5 stars! ^_^ I love you Sara! You're one of the best she-wolves. ;)(less)

This series has been close to my heart for the longest time. Maybe it's because ahem, again, I love the X-men. I love action. I love powers and I love romance. This book has them all and then some more. I was completely good with the ending of the second book, but since there's a third, who am I to complain? haha. I didn't even know that there's a third book coming until very recently when a friend tagged me (you know who you are! thanks!). This has been a joyful and exciting ride for me. The best was knowing that Ms. Wright will give these characters a happily ever after. I knew that based on the pattern of her past books, so I was pretty comfortable.
The story here follows up pretty much to where they left off in the last book. They were to be crowned as the "high couple" and they were having a hard time preparing for that. Of course with all the complications like: vampire-turned-zombie-like beings, Umbridge-like people from the Prelature which somehow reminds me (forgive me for the Harry Potter terminologies) a lot of The Ministry of Magic... they were not able to focus a lot on the coronation.
Sam is still a homicidal bitch. She likes hurting mean people, but in this book, she had to have a lot of self control. Her status as a hybrid helped her a lot in this book, so I'm really thankful that the brothers in book 2 didn't reverse what they did to her. It helped her make a statement on the other vampires. Jared is also thankful for it. Unfortunately, this book also showed both Jared's and Sam's weaknesses. They were both jealous in this book and they both lacked self preservation. I'm just glad that their bond seems to be extra strong, so there's not a chance of them leaving each other.
It was very good to read about the squad again. Their loyalty is still as unwavering as ever and they are still hilarious. I love how they proved to be very good soldiers and I really love how they respect Sam.
The other chacters were very essential to he growth of this series. I like the powers of Ava and Paige. I hope to see more of them. I know this is the last of Jared's and Sam's books, but I'm truly hoping that the author will give us more of the other characters' stories. That will mean everything! ♥

Here's one story that i think i'll always remember. I was really curious about this. I thought I Team was a group of mercenaries or special ops. I never thought that it's a friggin news team! Genius!
The story revolved around a writer and a senator. Yeah, an unlikely couple but they worked things out. I love the plot! totally dig the paper! Reece is totally dreamy! He's everything i want in a hero! Smart sexy and realllllyy sweet. On the other hand, i love Kara because she's like WONDER WOMAN. She does everything and she's very strong. Her character was built to withstand pressure and everything else. I was so engrossed and i really wanted to find out who's behind everything. To tell you the truth, i thought the mastermind was the hero's best friend. I'm still sad for him though.
Anyway... i was strangely reminded of this while reading Extreme Exposure:
yea! Maid in Manhattan. Not that Kara was a maid.. but she's a single mom and Reese is a Senator! ^_^

I can honestly say that I have never, in my entire life, watched an MMA fight. Sure, my friends tell me to do so, but it just isn't at the top of my things-I-want-to-experience-ASAP list. However, this year, I started reading about these hot men mostly with quick temper, but good to the core. MMA fighters sure bring my reading life one step higher. So yeah, maybe I'll give it a shot and watch someday.
Enough about the introductions...
Let's now talk about Vinny... errm.. Vince. It's so weird at first, reading about him here when he was still very young in the first book. He's all grown up now and he's hot! He's an overprotective he-man and he likes to play rough (considering the nature of his job, this wasn't surprising at all). He's a fighter who has a sordid past and a sort-of junkie for a mother. I like it that he still respects and takes care of his mother after everything.
In this book, you'll see glimpses of the Vinny in the past. You'd see that he was the highschool bad boy heart throb and you'd also see how wrapped up he was with his younger tutor, Liv. It was nice reading about them because they were so cute together. It was just so sad that they lost their way in the past, but never fear.. fate is here! They meet again and BAM! Insta-attraction (the second time around) at its finest! What I liked about Vinny most is that he seems willing to change for Liv. I mean, he really did change for the better to make them work out together.
On the other hand.. We have Olivia, "Liv".. She's not a shy woman, but she's also not your everyday drama queen. She's just.. hmm.. how to put it? She's quite plain if you ask me. What makes her speacial is that she's an aspiring writer who really has a talent for creative writing. However, her job requires her to do dirty things. Dirty things as in unearth secrets of people. I can't count how many times I got frustrated with her character because she couldn't open up fully to Vinny. Vinny has grown up into a big man, so I just though he could handle more problems thrown his way, but Liv decided to keep it all to her self.
Luckily, when everything spilled over, it didn't take too long for them to patch things up. It all ended well and yes, they had their happily ever after.
What I also love about this book is that it gives us many things to ponder on.
It shows us that there are many kinds of love. There's a love that you meet when you're young that just wouldn't go away even when you're older. There's a love that will never go away even though bad things stare you in the face. There's a love for things that you've lost, but never really had. There's a love that forgives everything.. and that love gives you hope. ❤
This book also lets you know that there are spoiled brats in the world and they'll eat you alive if you let them.
Most of all, this book shows you the value of listening. :) When a person jumps to conclusions, it open results into bad things.
Anyway, it was also nice seeing Nico and Elle. I've missed those two.
I really really really am looking forward to the next book. It's Jax! OMG! ^_____^

Past Imperfect is a book that needs all of your patience. From the title itself, you would know that this is a story that is full of imperfections. Imperfect... and yet... there's something that will get you hooked on this book. I can't exactly say which part, but yes, you will feel like you have to read more.
I have been very interested with Brad from the first book. He's the nice-but-not-so-nice boyfriend there. When I learned about his past in this book, I couldn't help but feel sorry for him. I feel sorry for his parents' attitude towards him, sorry for THAT THING that he went through, sorry because he's feeling inadequate, sorry because at first he thought that the woman he loved didn't love him back. Just... sorry.
When he grew up to be the man that he is, I just felt so proud. I know that he didn't change under better circumstances. In fact, he changed during the worst situation, but the main point is that he did... and when he did.. GOSH! He became a swoon-worthy guy.. so sweet, so nice, soooo funny, so tough and yet so scared to lose the girl he loved most.
On the other hand, we have Mabry. Mabry's character and I have this love-hate relationship. She has a very depressing past. When I say very depressing, I mean VERY DEPRESSING. /b>I know that I'm supposed to understand her. I also know that I should understand her condition, but it was just so hard to look past what she's doing to herself and focus on the good things. :(
What I just liked about her is that she was willing to do things differently with Brad. She was willing to change. However, circumstances got in the way and I felt so sorry for her. I'm so happy that she did what she did at the last part of the book. I think it helped her lots.
Together, these two battle their demons. It was tough on both ends. I felt their frustration and I felt their want to just be together and they overcame everything. They did that so perfectly that the ending was so grand. This book will make you drop it for a second or two then pick it up again because you just feel as if you have to know what will happen to them next. I swear, if you reach the end part, you'll be glad that you read on. The author made it perfect for them. :)

There are just some books wherein you'd want to know what the guy's thoughts are. This is one of them for me. Especially in Jared's case. Jared was a bully and he was hateful. However, he had his reasons. I'm not saying that they're all good. It just... makes sense.
The plot pretty much follows what's in BULLY, but it follows Jared's thoughts, so it clears up A LOT of things. When I read Bully, I wished for a book in Jared's thoughts. I guess I got my wish huh? I even thought that the author would just give some kind of a novella like what happens to other books with a .5. When I opened this book, imagine my shock and delight! haha! It is long! ^_^
Anyway, on to JARED...
Jared... is a troubled soul. You won't exactly like him. He's a bully. He did what he did because of pure selfish reasons. He made the life of his best friend feel like hell. He bullied her through and through. He bullied her because he felt envious and he felt insecure. Somewhere in between being friends and the bullying and being sort of friends again, he fell in love with her. That made everything more complicated...and awesome! When he realized everything, I wanted to jump for joy because man... the thoughts of a man in love is THAT GOOD. Not that it erases all the hurtful stuff that he did cuz it doesn't. In this book, he learns to make it up to her. I actually want him to make it up to her for all of his life because Tate deserves it. lol.
His friend Madoc sure is a good guy btw. He set himself up to be the "bad guy" when he just actually wants what's best for his friend and I love him for that. :)
This is a very good book about turning over a new leaf and making up for your past sins. Jared learned here that not everything is ruled by the past and that it's better to dwell on the positive than the negative.
This book is also timely because of the "bullying" topic plus the online media craze.
Must read for those who loved Bully and for those who'd like to know the thoughts of the bully himself.
