These 'Beach books' (there are 3 altogether) are the only romantic books of hers which l haven't read so l was looking forward to reading them, especially now the type of books she writes have changed so they will probably be the last of hers l read.
With this book l wasn't drawn into the storyline straight away but instead was slowly gripped by the book and by half way through l couldn't put it down.

I used to read very straight forward sort of books with main story line were : Meet a boy - Fall in Love - Fall out - Get back together. Now l want a little extra in books and this book is exactly the sort of book which does that.
It's strange to say but this book have a little bit of crime in as well as the usual romance l like, funniness and a unusual way in which the romance is made.
A good read and l am glad l found this book and author. ...more

From the first few pages I was totally intrigued by what had happened and what was going to happen. Both the past and future was so unknown, I loved it. Everything happened so fast I didn't even have a second in which to stop and let what had happened sink in let a lone stop to do anything else, I couldn't put the book down! Lauren is a character who I straight away warmed to and although she sometimes frustrated me with poor and rushed decisions I can see why mistakes were made as she was under a lot of pressure and in a very difficult situation. I liked how Sophie made it clear that Lauren knew that she had made mistakes, it made everything feel more real. I really enjoyed how Sophie presented all the characters and that Lauren’s feeling towards each of the characters around her were clear throughout the book but not in a way where you couldn't still make up your own mind about them. I always find it really important that you can make up your own mind about the characters you are getting to know in the book. I think this book definitely has a great mix of an engrossing story line, great characters and also written in a great way which leads to me becoming totally gripped` to the point where I had to force myself to actually put the book down, the pages just flew by! I couldn’t believe it when I kept realising how far through the book I was but also how much had happened. The twists throughout this book were what kept me totally gripped, in the end I was totally expecting more twists and I was never disappointed. What I loved even more was how with the twists which I could sort of see coming there was another twist with that one, everything was so unpredictable. I LOVED IT! Over all Girl,Missing is an addictive read which you will become totally absorbed in very quickly. Everything is very fasted paced and it's impossible to become bored while reading this!...more

AThis book is one which pretty much grips you right from the beginning with the scene being introduced quickly as well as the main character, Bianca. Along with Bianca every character in this book is interesting, unique and brings up a lot of questions in your mind about them as characters and what their role is going to be in this book. l find with dark paranormal books a lot really does depend on the characters and how the author makes them come across to the reader. Claudia has done such a great job with this, making the reader unearth so many questions for each character. You find yourself really wanting to find more out about each character and their life's... this makes the book a whole lot more interesting to read! Even though having all these characters in the book really does make you engrossed at the beginning l found it hard to keep track of all the characters, sometimes getting confused with who was who and what l knew about them so far. I have to say, even though it's such a small thing, l found it annoying how every chapter's first line started in block capitals. It just got to me because most authors use capitals to emphasize something. I think with such a small thing getting to me in the book and it being the only negative thing in this book it shows how much l enjoyed it and what a great read it is. Claudia has done a great job of putting her 'stamp' on the world of paranormal books, l didn't in any way find this repetitive from what l have read in other books and loved many of Claudia's ideas for this book. l hope it continues into Stargazer. If you haven't started reading this series then all l have to say is .. You should! I am excited to start the next one but have so many books to review this one will have to wait...more
