I loved this book, well when I say I loved it I must admit I didn't really start to enjoy it until about 56% of the way through. The first half didn't really seem to go anywhere- Ash's chapters that is, Fin's chapters were fine. The second half was hard to put down because suddnely the book picked up and so much happened, it was crazy. The ending, what a way to end a book. Now I really want to read Evergreen but bloody heck the price for that for a kindle edition? no bloody way. I liked the mermaids and mermen in this book and the changes that happen to them. It's completely different to the little mermaid, the only mermaid related thing I have watched. The world they live in is told in great detail that I had no trouble picturing it. This book has everything action, adventure, love, evil leaders, dashing heroes, a cute couple.
The begining of the book did put a slight damper on this being a five star rating just because I found it boring and nothing really happened and before the 50ish percent mark Ash just wasn't that interesting to read about. So it did take a while to read the first half for me because of that, but once it got past that it was more easier to read because stuff actually happened.
I think Everblue is great start to what will probably be a great series and I can't wait to read the others despite the stupid price on amazon.
P.S: The cover is really pretty, man I wish I had red hair that dark, it's so much better than Ariel's red.(less)

I forgot this novella was a prequel to be honest, I only started it cos I wanted something short to read. Little red rising crop is based on little red riding good but loosely based. It was ok and it entertained me for an hour but it's not really my thing which is why it didn't many stars from me (less)

Gamers is a YA Dystopian, futuristic novel where everything is a game and to win means a place in university granted that you get enough points. To lose means you just get forgotten about and nobody remembers who you were or what happened to you, you just disappear.
Gabby is the heroine of this story, she's been hacking the system for years but only to help her best friend Zaela earn enough life points to stay in Lifegame. Gabby's view on Lifegame changes when a group called the Frags contact her with information about what happens to the losers who lose Lifegame. Gabby must then decide what is important.
Gamers is a really enjoyable read that will definitely please fans of the dystopian genre. The futuristic technology within this book is great, I would love to change my walls so they resemble a forest or something. There were some flaws within the book for example some of the characters seemed flat compared to Gabby the main character and at one point the author seemed to forget what view he was writing the book in but all in all a great read that I would recommend to anyone. It's a great read, I can't really say much more! (less)

It really left me wanting to watch Alice in wonderland the film though, I really want to watch that film now. I really want to read the others at some point and I hope they are as good as this one (less)

Offside follows Billie the professional hockey player who after an unfortunate incident returns back to her hometown and decides to play in the hockey league they have running there. This causes a lot of commotion and uproar because Billie is a woman and the men don't want no woman playing on their team.
I was actually surprised by Offside I thought I wouldn't like it and because of it being a kindle freebie I expected it to be one of the stereotypical kindle freebies with the badly wrote characters without development and riddled with flaws but actually Offside was nothing like that.
It has a strong female lead who carries on doing what she wants to do and is passionate about despite the men who don't want her there and their behaviour towards her. It has a love interest who is all very "This is my woman" kind of man which I'm going to be honest I love in a man, I love the protective streak.
Offside isn't all sporty thought it has other stuff going on as well. I have no interest in hockey at all but there isn't too much of hockey in the book and when it does happen in the book there is other stuff as well. There isn't detailed paragraphs on hockey either which is nice.
So in conclusion I really liked this book and I really want to read the next two especially Betty's because I think she'll be the most interesting which is probably why her one is last.
Offside is a good book and it's free, read it :)(less)
