Marguerite Rousseau is willing to lie, steal and cheat to get the money she needs to escape her sadistic master to the New World with her young cousin and as Le Voleur D’or, she gets away with it. Until one mysterious nobleman isn't fooled by her seductive act. Kane Bordeaux has been around centuries, living in France since the genocide of his people. As a Night Walker, Kane protects humans by night and feeds on the blood of the depraved but never truly lives until he witnesses a woman lifting the purse off a gentleman. Intrigued by the Golden Thief, he lures her nearer by tempting her with his pocket watch. But one night in his company leads to severe punishment from her master and Kane is determined to keep her safe but Marguerite doesn't hand out her trust easily. Vampire or Night Walker? Savior or monster? Who is the elegant stranger who claims to want only to protect her and ignites a burning passion inside of her?
Packed full of suspense; Night Thief was one huge story in small packaging. I was actually worried towards the end there that there wouldn't be a HEA for these characters! A prequel to the Night series, despite the #1.5, Night Thief entrances readers with Kane, one of the first Night Walkers and a God among his people. Sadly though, thanks to an un-stoppable demon, Kane had to leave his brothers and leads a pretty solitary existence now in France. I loved how despite societies strictures he never fully conformed to what those in his class would consider fashionable or even acceptable. He lived his life how he saw fit , not others. Even when Marguerite thought him to be a monster, he stayed true to himself. The chemistry between Kane and Marguerite was palpable and I was rooting for them from the beginning. Marguerite was such a strong and determined character as well, I really enjoyed reading about her and Kane. A wonderful read from author Lisa Kessler and I look forward to more from this fantastic paranormal romance series!(less)

They have one of those love stories that just instantly captures your heart and sticks with you long after the book ends. Thankfully though, that wasn't the end of their story...
To Hell and Back is a continuation of Wrong Side of Hell and begins a few weeks after that first novella ends. Logan Winters is desperate to get his beloved mate, Kira Dove, to a safe haven and away from the otherworlder's following them. But he cannot tell her no when she implores him to stop in a small Halloween town. When Logan goes out for breakfast and never returns though, Kira notices that the sweet little town now has a menacing shadow over it. On her own and unsure who to trust, Kira escapes with the help of a Guardian from the League. But demons are hot on their tale and after a dream visit from Logan, Kira must somehow loose her so-called protectors as well. With more than just herself to protect, Kira races to fulfill her promise to Logan. Logan must escape Hell's clutches though to reunite with Kira and you know what they say, Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned...
I adore Logan and Kira's story; it is bursting with passion, love, suspense and infinite danger. I wish it would never end, but despite the novella length of To Hell and Back Juliana Stone packs a whole bunch of story into this small package and I'm glad there will be a continuation to it. Logan is without a doubt, a swoon-worthy hero. Willing to go to any length to protect the woman he loves and make her happy, how can you not fall in love with him? And overcoming a past that would break most people, Kira is a strong heroine who continues to be a perfect fit for the alpha, Logan. He'd walk right over one of those fragile lilies of a heroine. The world that Juliana Stone has created for her League of Guardians series is beyond intriguing and I love the unknown in the League. Someone isn't to be trusted, but who? We'll just have to keep reading to find out, I guess! Another fantastic book from this author and I can't wait for more of Logan and Kira's story, it can't come soon enough!(less)

But her writing style doesn't always flow for me and I find it to be a bit choppy sometimes while reading. However, when the characters are exceptional, like in Sway, that doesn't distract me from the story. The story of Daisy and Levi was fun and sexy. I really enjoyed Daisy's unique character, she was definitely her own person and refused to conform to anyone else's standards. She was the complete opposite of Levi but ended up being his perfect fit. There was plenty of ups and downs to their hot and heavy relationship; Levi insecurities about Daisy's much younger age as well as Daisy's worry about not fitting the 'mold' of Levi's first wife and companions. Their sexual relationship was smokin' hot with some light bondage and D/s. I enjoyed all of the characters of Delicious and look forward to more stories from them and for fans of the Brown Siblings, there are a few cameos in Sway. ;) (less)

I haven't read a YA novel in a while so this author was no where near my radar but after my girl, Crystal 2, gave such a great review of On Dublin Street and I saw a few others raving about it I had to pick it up and am I ever glad that I did!
Intensely emotional and sizzling hot, I seriously could no put On Dublin Street down, it is one of those addictively angsty stories that you will loose a whole day and neglect your children to. The relationship between Joss and Braden for some reason reminded me of Mac and Barrons from KMM's Fever series, I think because it was full of such turmoil as well as a searing attraction. Joss and Braden are complex characters with a lot of issues, Joss more so then Braden. Braden *fans self*, he was just damn sexy, as well as super sweet and understanding. No matter how many walls Joss put up between them he didn't let it deter him.
On Dublin Street had me laughing and smiling as well as feeling like a huge rock of sadness and pain was sitting on my chest, and then there were the times I was squeezing my legs together, squirming in my seat...this book ran from one emotion to the next and I loved every second of it! I never wanted it to end and the secondary characters were just as wonderful. I hope Samantha Young writes many more adult romances because I definitely want to read them!

Angsty, edgy and realistic, The Christmas He Loved Her is a heart-pounding and emotional roller-coaster adventure that readers won't want to get off. This series may just be her best work yet, I cannot get enough of these Bad Boys!
