First of all, I did not expect to like this book. At all. The blurb was sort of meh, and all the overly positive reviews had me doubting the quality of the writing. Seriously, usually only horrid books or rewritten fan fiction gets this kind of attention.
The negative reviews I found didn't put me in a better frame of mind before starting this book. The only reason I did pick up this book, was that I'd started reading something like 5 books before this one, and none of them grabbed my attention. Considering the losing streak I was on with my choice of books, I figured I had nothing to lose here. If the book disappointed, I'd be expecting it. The cheesy cover didn't help either...
I could not have been more wrong.
Regardless of all the smut and sexy menage, this book is character driven. I love that the author writes in 3rd person, and that I got to get under everyone's skin. I felt right at home with the characters, and the more I got to know them, the more I fell in love with them.
Kaleb is the kind of rugged cowboy you can't help but love. When he falls in love, he falls hard, and he knows how to take care of his woman. Who doesn't want a guy like that? Being the first character to get a book, I knew he would hold a special place in my heart long before I was finished reading the book. He's that adorable.
I loved Zoey. She's kick ass enough to be a serious leading lady. Nothing weak and/or sniveling about her. In other words, no incessant nave gazing going on here... :D
All right, so the smut is a little on the cheesy side of things. If you're looking for "serious" literature, you're looking in the wrong place. If you want good characters, some decent plot, and smut that'll have you rubbing your thighs together, you're in the right place. It gets especially hot when Kaleb's friend, Gage, is added to the mix.
What I like the most about this book, is that it doesn't pretend to be something that it's not. It's straight forward erotica. Period. It even says as much in the blurb. So anyone going into this book, expecting to read something new and ground breaking, might as well save their time and find something else to read. This is M/F and M/F/M erotica in a slightly new package. And what a package it is!
My one big beef with this author is that she doesn't seem to be able to get a grasp on your/you're. It's really not that hard! Google "your vs you're" and figure it out!
If you're looking for something easy to read, something entertaining, and something that'll have you reaching for your significant other, read on!(less)

I didn't like it all that much as a fanfic, I doubt I'd like this that much more now.
Funny thing is, you read the blurb, you think "I've read this before, but where?" - then you scroll down and you read "Omnific Publishing". Yeah, you know you've read it before, they do after all specialize in P2P...
As for the story itself, it's boring, it takes forever, and it all happens in Bella's head. Yeah, to me the heroine will always be Bella and the hero Edward. It takes absolutely forever to get anywhere, and only Edward can get away with being as douchy as this guy does. Meh.(less)
