I read Anne's other book when I saw it... I don't remember where, but I started reading and couldn't put it down.
The same thing happened here. I adored this so much. The love story, the character's growth, the SETTING.
And there were lots of boys in this. LOTS of hot boys.
I read this in one sitting, and it was ABSOLUTELY worth it. A great, fun read with a few unexpected twists, and a swoon-worthy ending with a swoon-worthy boy.(less)

I love it when I put a book down and know that the people will stay with me for a long time because Bayley definitely will.
THIS is the reason I love "coming of age" novels right HERE:
Something happened during Matt's talk. When I sat down I was one person, but by the time he was done, I was someone else. Someone changed. Someone new. Someone I didn't know. My arms were covered in gooseflesh. My stomach was doing this buoyant, top-of-the-roller-coaster thing. Suddenly I wanted to be pretty. I wanted guys to think I was pretty. In particular, I wanted this guy to think I was pretty...(less)

I love how she's able to use characters in the beginning of adolescence to tell brilliantly shocking stories, but manages to thread hope through the story in the most perfect way.
She is the woman who inspired me to really jump into writing contemporary YA fiction that means something.(less)

It hovers between a four and a five, just because it took me a while to get into it. But I always round up ;-D A fab read. A great story that is perfect because of the characters' imperfections, and that it never got perfect, because, yanno... that's real.

So, I asked to be a part of Braden's Blog tour for his new book because I had two kids who were into it, and I thought we'd do a little family read and review :-D
This story is absolutely universally liked by my family. It's completely obvious that Bell spends time around middle-school aged kids because he has that voice down PERFECT. My husband laughed, my daughter laughed, and my son laughed when he paid attention (he's five). It's a great mix of fun and mystery, and I flew through it in a night. (The family read took slightly longer)
I think I can probably sell you on this one just by typing up the first few lines... That's what hooked my daughter.
Connor Dell didn't mean to set anyone's gym shorts on fire. He didn't know it would happen. And if he had known, he never would have - well, that might be going too far. It started in seventh period science...

Another FABULOUS guy POV. A little deeper than What a Boy Wants, but it was SO fun to see Sebastian in action again. Some great schmexy scenes. LOVE the love story, and love what Jaden had to overcome.
Nyrae's awesome at creating some laugh out loud moments, some sweet moments, and some swoon worthy ones as well.

We set it in small-town Louisiana, which was SO much fun, and I also love to work with other authors - especially ones with the mad-talent of Stephanie Campbell.
I wrote Delia's POV, and love her to pieces. I also wrote quite a few poems for this book, which was fun. I got my start writing poetry and songs, so it was great to go back to that.
This is a story of for-real true love. Hope you like :-D(less)

Great guy who gets bumped down a notch or two... or ten.
Fab girl - great mix of serious emotion, snark and sweet.
This was a fun love story, paired with a very cool paranormal/mystery element and even though I've been looking forward to reading it forever, and had built it way up, it was still THAT GOOD.
My daughter can't wait to get her hands on a "real" copy.(less)

my good friend, Steph Campbell said I HAD to read it, so I bought it months ago, and didn't get around to it until yesterday.
I read it yesterday.
There's a great twist that I SHOULD have seen coming, and I adored the MC. This is a book that USES the setting and the other characters to create the story and not just what's happening between the two main people.
This is a great love story, a great story about forgiveness and being on your own, and finding yourself, and...
just go read it. IMO totally lives up to the hype.
