Over the years there have been allot of movies, series, plays based on the original book, I ought to know cause I am a big no HUGE Frankenstein fan. However from all the Frankenstein takes I have witnessed thus far, iFranktenstein is one of the most memorable one. I suppose if Frankenstein was a teenager in this time of era I imagine he too would be quite the genius and create a monster such as VV that lived in the internet.
iFrankenstein is definitely something worth checking out if you haven't already. And if you are looking for more cell phone novels like iFrankenstein I would also suggest you check out iDrakula, another awseome text/email tale of Dracula. ...more

I finished reading this about ten minutes ago, I'm sure there is going to be TONS of typos when I'm done writing this post but I have to write this down now before I forget all these feels. I have so much love for this book right now it's simply indescribable!
A Fall Of Water, is final installment of the Elemental Mysteries series. I have been sticking with this series from the very beginning and I am really glad that I stuck to it till the end. I still remember reading about Beatrice and Giovanni meeting for the first time in A Hidden Fire. Tenjin, Carwyn, Dez every one throughout these books have grown on me. And in A Fall Of Water, Ben has been one of my favorite character to read about. He is just a big sweetheart and I want more about this Vecchio.
The last book goes into a bit deeper in the vampire myth than the previous books. Revealing more about the elements of the vampires and the power to manipulate it. One of the main thing that was fascinating to me was Giovanni's vampire bloodline, at the end I felt like learning more of the ancient vampires history. But hats off to Miss Hunter for bringing this awesome characters to life and thank you so much for introducing me to them.
It breaks my heart to say goodbye to the characters and this story but this was really one of the perfect ending for a series. If you are a fan of paranormal vampire novels, Elemental Mysteries is a MUST read.

After the month long Some Girls Bite read-along back in January I was pretty much in love with all the characters. I am still intrigued by them and definitely want to know if they will ever get their head out of their asses.
Merit, still has issues so does Ethan ... actually there is not a single character without some major WTF moments. I had random moments of 'stop it you..'. I can still relate to Merit's situation. Ethan still in denial about his feelings and I do believe he is the biggest jerk there is. I am serious Ethan, own up to your feelings dude! Sigh. But still I love the slow build up even though the sexual frustration between them is palpable.
Cather and Mallory, a little less lust-at-first-sight in this book but lust nonetheless. And I repeat, they are great character individually, I just don't feel the love.
I am still getting into the audiobook thing, I like reading my book rather than listening to it.
So at the end I must say I am going to see through this series even though Merit thinks what she does is right, Ethan finds making out is effective rather than taking her out on a date, Cather and Mallory needs to find something other than bareback in the kitchen, not enough JEFF. Cause lets face it, I'm too involve with the story to give up even though it frustrate me to no end. ...more

Luke and Sera are twins with supernatural power, along the way we meet many other creatures from the supernatural world from Fey's to mind-reader and vampires. With a bit of romance on the story it was a great read. Luke is a seer while Sera has the power of healing others from just a touch. They make a kick ass team of siblings. The story is based on the siblings, family bonding so we there is a very little room to develop your typical YA romance. But I loved the bits development between Sera and Marc.
Kudos to J. Meyers for creating such a fascinating world filled with mythical creatures with supernatural powers....more

Having read the previous two books my expectation was way high for this one, and I can only say this so many times but I absolutely loved it!
Force Of Wind reveals more about the vampire wold's higher power, government of sort. How vampires are created, how they are send off to the world among other things. Giovanni and Beatrice spends most of the book with the elders, with Beatrice learning more about the elders. I don't want to spoil away anything but the amount of changes going on in this book was mind boggling. I really did not see some of theses things coming.
The ending however left me a sobbing mess. How could you do this to me E! *sobs some more*
At the end, this was an amazing story with the right amount of everything. If you are looking for something different in the paranormal stuff, I would recommend Elemental Mysteries series in a heart beat. ...more

First, I can NOT believe I waited this long to read this book!
There are demons, secret society of demon hunters and hexly knights in shining armor riding on their trustie steed driving awesome cars to save the girl. So in a nutshell, absolutely awesome!
The hex boys are anything but your average teenage boys. They fight demons, control elements, own cool cars provided by their parent by their parents, goes to school, has their own guardian fairy?! Yup, not your average teenage boy. All the six boys are just so amazing each in their own way that I couldn't help but fall in love with them. I am still trying to decide which one I liked the most. But really I can not decide!
Aurora is not you kick ass heroine that's been practicing to fight demons all her life. She is somewhat normal compared to the hex boys other that the fact she sees DEMONS! Aurora might not have all the kick ass martial arts training like the boys but she has a cunning ability to throw you off the rocker. She uses her feminine charms like sobbing, hugs, and flattery to get her way. Now let me tell you what I loved about Aurora Lahey. The Lahey family, hands down. I have a huge family, we are all very tight and A&E Kirk's detailed description about the Lahey family reminded me allot about my own.
Aurora's power is still somewhat mystery for me and why they moved also who was THAT in her last vision. And hopefully we will be getting all the answers in the next Divinicus Nex book or at least few of them anyways.
So recommended to anyone who loves reading paranormal YA. ...more

This story was about Valek. We get to see the spy in him more profoundly than we did in poison study as it's written from third person prospective. Short but feels in some void about Valek. Even though it felt like he became a secondary character in the next two books.
If you are a Valek fan most definitely read Assassin Study....more

When I saw Missie was hosting a Some Girls Bite read-along with Tina, Rummanah and Jenny I though I have the book, I haven't had a chance to do a read-along before so lets do this!
It was awesome. Reading four chapters a week and making turtle friends along the way, but I think most of the bloggers had already finished it. I am going off track with my thoughts about the read-along here.
So about the book, I liked the entire situation with Merit's vampiredom and how she grows to accept her situation. Under a month time Merit went from grad student to super sentinel, I don't think I would have come out of my hidie hole before a month past.
Ethan, Merit's master and the head of Cadogan house is a bit of a jerk in the entire book. And I am told to be patient, apparently he isn't always so much of a jerk as the series continues. I would like him a little less jerky too. Mallory, Merit's best friend got it on with a fellow sorcerer. I am sort of those readers that love slow built up love. Mallory and Catcher was more like lust-in-first-sight than love. They are both GREAT characters individually and had a lot of potential to bloom in to a great relation that I would have liked but I just didn't feel the love there. Now let me finish my character evaluation with one last character, Jeff. He is the ONLY were we meet in this book, he is twenty one and a lanky computer geek. I am thinking about grabbing him and then running towards the mountains. I even have a pair of handcuffs somewhere in the house to have him cuffed to the headboards. Too much! I think not.
At the end, I honestly don't think I would have liked this book if I was reading this on my own. Because of the read-along mainly, I loved reading this. I plan to continue the series soon.
Recommended to ... umhh ... readers like me who had second thoughts about picking up the book. Just wait for a read-along or something when you start! Review originally posted on The Nerd In Heels...more

WhatEvery time I up and go trying to give a little bit of summery about the book that I read, I get side tracked and forget the most important part. What I actually thought of the book. So before I start getting side tracked again let me just say, I really liked it.
I love reading paranormal YA and Wander Dust was an wonderful read with the right amount of para stuffed with some gorgeous science elements.
Now a little bit about the characters, I LOVED the name Seraphina so much that I decided to name my gold fish baby Seraphina. And it response to the name too! It's really very cute. I was talking about my goldfish, if anyone's wondering. Sera was well put together character, acting like the sixteen year old that she is. Trying to get her father's attention by doing the most rebellious things she can come up with. The relationship between the father and her was next to non-existence which lead me to question, if that was her real father. Who knows maybe there is a bigger mystery in there!!
Bishop, I swooned every time I tried picturing him talking in his British accent. le sigh. Bishop's interference in Sera's life at first was questionable. I was confused if this boy was good or evil or in between. His mysterious nature puts an edge at first which he manages to maintain further by talking about his past with Sera. However he proves he is a friend to her, eventually. In other words, he is the perfect romantic boyfriend a sixteen year old girl can only hope for. I would have to say, Bishop is an intriguing character about whom I happen to have basket full of questions.
Wander Dust is the first in The Seraphina Parrish Trilogy. If you are looking for something unique to read, I would definitely recommend you to check this book out. ...more

First and foremost, what the ever loving freck? That was some serious mind fuck right there!!!!!!!
Now that excessive exclamation marks are out of the way, I am a Fever fan. Through it's high and low and no matter how much I wanted to throw the previous book(s) in the gutter I am a fan. So yes when I saw the book continuous, not with Mac and Barrons but with Dani, Ryodan and Christian I was ecstatic. You can count on KMM to bring on more of the Fever world, what I didn't thought was Dani being fourteen. Well I am okay she is fourteen, lots of people in the world are fourteen, my youngest is fourteen so yeah completely fine. Dani kicking ass being the teenage superhero she thinks she is. Great stuff.
Dani surrounded by two pedophiles perverts grown men who fancies her and make her their future whatever, okay I am still on board dude not jumping off the ship yet because of Dani of course.
Dani constantly puts things in prospective for me by pointing out how anciently old both dudes are. So yes lets say this KMM sure knows how to rile up the fans with her stories.
Ryodan, you used to be so cool. Christian, you too baby, you and your-dick-of-death is no cool no more. Jo, there shall always be groupies. Kat, meh. Dani, you are totally the shit and Dancer, NERDY GLASSES WEARING TALL GUY WITH SUPERBRAIN AND HOTNESS AND HOW IS THERE NOT MORE OF YOU?
So yeah the story might have pedophile perverted thoughts inappropriate thoughts among the too sexy dudes but if you are a fan of Karen Marie Morning's writing and the fever series give this a go but I highly recommend that you wait till all three books come out before starting on them. ...more

Every story is different. The Unlikely Vampire starting story of the book introduces a vampire who finds himself attracted to man while feeding. And that scene alone can make your toes tingle. The following stories all based on the concept of male/male romance but not all of them are vampire. A genie is particularly yumness.

Ivy a witch in her try to capture the attention of the boy she likes is driven to turn a toad lizard in to a real boy which comes back to bite her in the ass, not literally of course. When her magic is hard to un do, Ivy is accused to becoming more like her father. Ivy and her friends are on to the mission to solve the mystery of who has The Book Of Lost Souls, a book that resurrects the dead. The story kept throwing off too many suspects and I kept guessing who actually had the book.
Nick Marcelli a demon and quite hard to resist when his charms is thrown in the mix in Ivy's life. Making Ivy confuse to which boy to actually choose.
Overall a good book, I liked it and was hooked on it till the end although there were some very cheesy lines and I really really didn't expect a teenage boy to be that much.. ah well cheesy. But very cute nonetheless....more

Firstly, thank you Elizabeth for letting me read this awesome book, I think I might have died from my curiosity after reading the first chapter of this book a while back.
This Same Earth picks up five years after A Hidden Fire ends, revealing what happened in Beatrice De Novo's life in the mean time. Beatrice has left a world of supernatural behind or so she thought until Giovanni Vecchio came back in her life. However Beatrice is reluctant to accept Giovanni back in her life after being abandoned by him for five years.
Giovanni's absence in Beatrice's life for so long was the biggest mystery in my opinion when he clearly is smitten with her. To Gio his rationality to leave Beatrice alone, is to give her a chance to have a normal life and exactly what I figure he would say. Which from Geo's prospective might have seem like a good idea, but they both suffered from the separation. They go through quite a rocky road before Beatrice can trust Gio to not leave her again and give into his persuasion to establish a relationship between them.
Carwyn and some of his children were introduced in the story however because of Carwyn's tragic loss we miss the jovial Hawaiian shirt wearing snarky priest very much. Some new vampires and their clan is introduced, new alliances are formed due to Beatrice's 'new family'. The search for the missing De Novo is highlighted in this story more than ever. Stephen De Novo, Beatrice's father has hidden himself from the world and everyone seem to want him on their side or rather want what he possess.
This Same Earth ends with a beautiful wedding and with the starting of a family. Vampire Human love is always so difficult! It's hard to decide what is best for the human, turn the human into a vampire or not. After reading so many vampire series I have come to realize that it's actually a very hard decision (for me). If the human lover is turned into a vampire I whine oh god they are robbing the human from it's humanity! If not turned into a vampire, well I still whine why isn't the human turned into a vampire so they can live happily ever after. That is one of the biggest set backs for me while I read any vampire series, really! As for Elemental Mysteries series, its yet to be seen what Beatrice will choose even though it seem quite clear in this book what she will happen.
All in all a really good book with a great cover. Kudos to Elizabeth for giving readers this awesome series. I know for me March can not come sooner, until than I am going to eagerly wait or stalk Elizabeth till she hands over THE FORCE OF WIND. Recommended to all the paranormal readers out there. If you love a good vampire series this is definitely it. You can start by reading A Hidden Fire...more
