I have known Deborah for coming up to two years. I instantly clicked with this woman. We talked and talked, shared similar views and thoughts on things and I had a lot of respect for her. Even though we have never met face to face I was honoured to be able to call Deborah a friend.
After reading this, I cannot but into words just how much MORE respect I have for her.
This book was hard for me to read. Not because I had to put it down and come back to it later. Not because it was boring. But because it’s hard to read when your eyes are constantly filling up with tears. I think if I didn’t know this woman, I may have hardened to things and not been as emotionally affected. To read what a friend has been through, especially when things have gone wrong and been filled with such sadness at times, it affects you. The other reason it affected me, and the reason my respect has grown even more is because my family have been through something very similar. I know what it’s like to watch someone wither away in front of you. My mum and I nursed my nana for almost 10 years. I was 10 when she became ill and 19 when she passed away. My mum was an only child (adopted) and my sister was too young to help. So it was me and my mum facing everything life threw at us. Still to this day, that’s never changed, it’s me and my mum against the world. On top of that, this story talks about adoption. The pain of having to give up a child when times didn’t accept unmarried mothers. It talks of the pain the mothers and sometimes even the fathers face when they have to part with something so precious to them. (on a personal note, this makes me sick and I’m glad and thankful to be born in the modern world). In the book, the family come back together and it’s beautiful to read. My mum was adopted and spent 50 years of her life thinking she was an only child. She met her birth mother when she was 21 but they never formed a relationship. It was just her and my nana, since my granddad passed away when my mum was nearly two. They were best friends as well as mother and daughter, regardless of whether they were blood related or not. At the age of 50 she found out she had a brother from her adopted fathers side, and then learned she had two half sisters and two half brothers from her biological mothers side. This was very very emotional, but families have been brought back together. All of them are happy to have each other in their lives. So to read this book and it have so may similarities to mine and my mothers life made it even more emotionally hard to read.
This book is beautifully written, I defy anyone not to be touched by it and I think there is something written in here that people will be able to relate to in one way or another.
I will also say this. Deborah has always seemed like a strong but passionate woman. That’s how she has always come across to me. After reading this, I now understand why. (less)

As author Ashley Fontainne knows all to well, I’ve been excited to read this book for a long time. I’ve waited very impatiently and when I received it for review, I couldn’t wait to start.
This series has been nothing short of mind blowing. Nothing is predictable – that is what makes this series awesome. Even when you’re so sure you know what’s going to happen next... NO! Bang! The story twists and leaves you shocked and on tenterhooks, just hoping it won’t be long for the next part of the story to be released.
Adjusting Journal Entries is the last in this trilogy surrounding revenge, and just how wrong things can go when you try for it. I’m not giving anything away, I know a lot of people are enjoying this series, which is really no surprise, and I would absolutely hate to spoil anything for them. So, I’ll just say, You will not be disappointed. At some points while reading this book, I was sat with my Kindle in my hands wearing such an evil grin, I was so deeply inside this story. I felt every emotion, just like I did with the first two instalments. The ending is perfect and I’m now very content with what happened to each and every character!
Ashley Fontainne has created three dimensional characters, some you love, others you really love to hate. They have an impact on you, and even after you turn the last page and you know your time with them has come to an end, they live on inside you.(less)

I really love this book. It plays with all your emotions from the very beginning right through to the end. Sometimes you develop Tourettes for a while, other times you want to reach for the box of tissues. There were a few typos, but that doesn’t distract you from the story at all. I love Jenna’s writing style. I find it very easy to read and it flows very well.
The story revolves around Christina. A girl who has had a lot to deal with from her father being absent, preferring to spend his time building up his own life and affairs, to love trouble and having dickhead friends. Oh I so wanted to jump in the book and slap them silly.
There is an interesting ‘love’ element in this book. Michael and Logan and both strong characters. One you love the other you love to hate. That’s one of the things that kept me reading on and on. Logan is stalkerish, is determined to get what he wants not matter what, and what he wants is Christina. There were many “OMG” moments and so many times I thought to myself “what the hell are you doing?”
The strange thing is, I have a friend who has just been though something very similar to this. The way the author told the story was frightening similar to real life events. To be able to catch that, make it so realistic that you feel as though you are stood by Christina and going through it all with her... that is wicked!
I normally only read fantasy, and avoid the whole drama, thriller, suspense genre. But damn am I glad I read this! This book needs to get known more! (less)
Firstly I want to say it takes a lot to get me this annoyed and to actually add on to a review. But I feel it necessary!
Beware, do not write what you truly think on here or anywhere else is you agree with me. You will get nothing but hassle!! You will find my original thoughts on this book below, but since I have had NOTHING but grief from the author, and her friends, and a few others on my FB review page, I thought I’d add more too it. It seems I’ve been condemned for not mentioning the storyline and for having my own thoughts and opinions. However I notice a lot of reviews of this book don't mention the storyline, but hey, since they are 4-5 star reviews, they don't have to. So here goes.
Chloe is a young girl who’s life, world is changed forever after one awful night where she witnesses her mother get killed. She learned her mother was a vampire hunter. She then has a lot to deal with, she needs to adjust and learn more about herself.
Also I understand it says a short story. But to my mind, there is a difference between a short story and something almost none existent.
OK, finished. Below are my thoughts.
**** I’m sorry to those who like this book, but I found it... pointless. This is just the start of a story. That is it. Nothing more and nothing less. Not original, not... anything. I’m sorry, I’m an author myself and I know harsh reviews can be upsetting, but we all get them. My MAJOR gripe is the fact that all these books are tiny. All part of the same story. All SOLD separately!! Well, rip-off. Just stating a fact here. If you have a story to tell, then tell it in a book, full length one, instead of expecting people to pay for pretty much a chapter or two at a time. Hell, what a way to make money. Hey, why doesn’t everyone do that?? Oh yeah, because we don’t rip off our fans!
Can’t say anymore than that. Didn’t like it. Gave it two stars because I HATE giving 1 star reviews, and lets be honest, the cover is pretty. That’s it. Other than that, I'm glad I didn't spend money on it.(less)

However, the gore factor is there, the story is well written and overall a quick and entertaining read. Is it scary, sadly not. Far from it. But then, as people know, it takes a hell of a lot to scare me. I’m a horror fanatic, seen and read dozens upon dozens, so nothing is scary these days.
When I realized this was about a father and sons trip to a zoo, I thought, hmm, ok, what am I getting myself into. However, it is Unique, this is NOT your typical zoo, I never thought of anything like this before and I just wish it were longer. I like this authors writing style, its flows well, and even though its short and fast paced. You’re still able to visualise everything perfectly. (less)

This is kind of book I normally read, but something about it drew me in. I found this to be a very interesting read. The story is centred around Kendra. A young girl of 15 who is currently receiving therapy after being abused as a child. Kendra and her therapist are trying to find out who her abuser was, by rebuilding gaps in her memory and trying to get Kendra over her fear of this person, thus allowing her to open up more and learn his identity. There is an interesting cast of characters, all of whom are crucial in Kendra’s life. They help her to open up, to feel, and to be strong.
This book is told from Kendra’s point of view. The writing style is perfect for this sort of novel, and you do feel as though you are there with Kendra every step of the way.
This book is based on real life events. So I believe this book will help others get through bad times. There are people who care and who are willing to help them through rough times, and listen to them sympathetically. More importantly, it will make them realise they are not alone. (less)

Being a fan of the Night Marchers Series I was excited to see what these authors would come up with next.
This book didn’t do it for me the way NMS did. It reminded me too much of Resident Evil mixed with Deep Impact (not for a collision, but ELE and the caves.) The only unique thing was that this time around, infection had spread around the earth but NOT from what started out as a deadly virus, this time, it was actually from something that was originally a medical miracle, a cure, something that could literally cure ANYTHING! From cancer to the common cold. That’s different. On top of that the planet was dealing with global warming issues, but this would also hopefully wipe out the infection.
The story started off a little slow for me, but when it seemed to kick in fully, it was a lot easier to read. Again I seemed to see the main character, Willow, in the form of Alice from Resident evil, only younger. But the writing style is up to their usual high standards. These girls really know how to make their books visual. The characters are three dimensional and at the end, I did want more. I’m looking forward to reading the sequel. (less)

I would just like to say thank you to Cat Miller for sending me this book for an honest review.
The author has talent, nobody can deny that. Her story is engaging, emotional and exciting as well as well written. The book is well paced and easy to read, also very visual. I’ve found this with a few books lately and that is fantastic. I hate reading a book where you can’t walk through the story alongside the characters. I find with Cat’s books, I’m glued to the pages not wanted to miss a word, whereas sometimes with others I’ve ended up skim reading through some chapters.
I would have given this book the full 5 stars, but something just seemed to be missing. I don’t know what it is, like I said above, it’s well written, paced etc, I just can’t put my finger on what it was that stopped me having the same love for it that I did for the first. Maybe it’s just me? I dunno. However, this does not stop me being a fan of this author, it would take a hell of a lot more than that, and I can’t wait to see what happens next. Keep them coming Ms Miller, you are an excellent writer with a vivid imagination! (less)

The author knows I will only tell the truth be it bad or good. I have reviewed a lot of books and all are brutally honest.
I read this book while in its rough draft, and I loved it. I suggested some changes to help the story flow better, and am now looking forward to reading it again and seeing how the author has changed certain things, and how it reads this time around. The characters are instantly likeable, and I now have a girls name in mind for if I have a daughter in the future. Yes I will name my daughter after a character in this book, Gretchen.
The story is rather deep and you are given lots of information on the characters lives, both past and present. Sometimes I did have to take a step back and think 'whoa', then read a certain paragraph again so that I had the history of some of the characters stored in my brain.
This story is also like none I've ever read before, which made it a refreshing read. Beautiful settings, great characters, myths, legends and beautiful settings, Plus! kick ass females instead of needy, moaning ones, make for one hell of read. I can't wait for the second and hope Corey Sondrup doesn't keep us waiting too long.(less)

Scare Factor - 1
The publisher of this book contacted me after seeing my profile on my review blog. There it states that sadly, these days, nothing scares me. No horror films, books... anything, and it saddens me. I think over the years I have read and watched too many to be scared by them. In fact, I don’t think anything written or videoed has frightened me since I was about 13 yrs old. I also find them extremely predictable and get sick of the girls running upstairs instead of out the front door! I’m sure many of you will agree with me.
Anyway, I went ahead and started reading, I was quite excited since I hadn’t had a horror novel submitted to me in a long time and previous reviews made this book sound right up my street. I really enjoyed reading this book, in fact, I finished it in one day. I’ve given this two ratings. One, the important one, which is my rating of the book as a whole, and two, the scare factor. 1 being ‘not scary at all’ up to 5 ‘scared the shit out of me’. (See top for scare factor rating). I would also like to mention that there is a “little extra something” in this book. I am NOT telling you what. But I think it was very cool. Not scary, I actually laughed. But very cool. Be prepared for what may appear as you turn the pages... That’s all I’m saying.
The whole ghost story, possession, haunting thing has been done over and over, so in that way it wasn’t unique. However, the fact that the main story was set around an old cinema steeped in history and some unfortunate deaths, was very refreshing. I personally have never read a book about a cinema in this context before.
We’re given a little history of the place in the first couple of chapters. Along with some info on the main protagonist, Kim, when she was a baby. I liked her straight away so that was a very good thing.
We then go to Kim being in university and are told she is studying parapsychology. Her and a few classmates are sent to conduct and investigation as part of their curriculum. The scenes were well written, paced well and I could picture everything as it happened. Sadly for me, it just wasn’t scary. The following day after showing their results to the professor, he asks them to accompany him on an investigation of Woodfield Opera House. Kim is instantly frightened out of her wits and refuses to go, much to the upset of her friends and the professor.
After a romantic encounter, some words of encouragement and being determined to conquer her inner fears - she decides to go. That’s when things get interesting and the theatre takes on a life of its own. Teaming with spirits and a demonic entity, Kim must use her ‘gift’ to save her and her friends lives, and also free the trapped spirits of this condemned building.
I do have one major complaint. Now I’m no stranger to bad language. Just piss me off and you’ll see that for yourself, however, I despise the word c**t. So to suddenly have a mostly well written book show the word quite a bit towards the end really let in down. I understand that a demon is supposed to be putrid, but come on, did you really need to stoop this low. And the whole rape with a blade threat was a bit WRONG too. Major dislike, surely you could have come up with something more creative?? Why end a book with this shit and filth? Some people don’t mind it, personally, I do. Anything else goes, but not that. Major drop on the rating of this novel I’m afraid.
My little gripes are that, although this is well written for the most part, sometimes the author decided to leave out the little words, such as ‘and’, and awful lot. Choosing to replace it with commas and semicolons. This was very irritating and at time, made it difficult to read. Also, it was very repetitive towards the end at the author tried to give us the story from other characters perspectives. So, much to my disappointment, I ended up skipping quite a bit and skim reading some of the end chapters (less)

I've read and enjoyed this series so far, but this one just didn't hold my attention like the others. I found myself skipping parts so I could get to what happened next between Summer and Mark. I wasn't really interested in the conversations between her and her friend. Afterall, this series is supposed to be about her relationship with Mark, not with her friends.
The book is well written like the previous stories. This isn't crude, or porn talk. It is written tastefully and that's why I like it so much.
I'm looking forward to the next installment, I just hope I don't skim read it like this one and that I will be able to go back to giving this series 5 stars. (less)

I have never read a book with so many mistakes in it before. This reads as a very very rough draft and yet apparently I have downloaded the "update and edited" version. Whoever edited this book needs to go back to school. Stupid mistakes were left in that even a five year old would spot. From run on sentences to words being missed out, not to mention the sentences being written out of plonk.
Interesting take - poorly/annoyingly written and presented, so much so, I probably won't read any more in this series. (less)

There are a lot of characters, each with their own distinct personalities, so there is something for everyone. Kallisto who is an Irish princess, and Talus, a Scottish prince, fall in love and want to be together. However their families are at war and our princess is sadly betrothed to another.
They get to be together but on their wedding day they are murdered. On top of that, a curse is placed on them and everyone who died to avenge them. An enchantress tries to help them, but the only help she could give is for them to live their lives over and over throughout the years.... I’m not saying any more because it will give too much of the storyline away.
The reborn, living again, finding each other, dying again has all been done before, many many times and so this story is not unique in that respect. However it’s still a good read, and rather a quick one.
The only gripes I had was that we were told things more than we were shown them. There were rather a few run on sentences and at points, the story jumped around quite a little. The character names were also really over used. Other than that, the storyline was good enough to keep me turning the pages and wanting more at the end.
I believe this is going to be a series, and I will reading the next chapter. (less)

OK, I’ve read this in a day. That tells you something straight away. Now, where to start with this one and how to right a review without spoiling this book for anyone???? Here goes... This book is heartbreaking and had me in tears several times. Now believe me, that is no easy task. The love between Liz and Michael is one that everyone with a heart dreams of. It’s beautiful. Their story is so well written, it grips your heart and soul. You feel everything they do, see everything they see. As far as I’m concerned (and you won’t hear this often) the powerful romance, the chemistry, the characters personalities, everything to do with their relationship... was perfect. Heartbreaking, but damn perfect.
This (again as far as I’m concerned) is one of those books that will stay with you forever. You’ll think about it afterwards and smile, even though on the inside you’re still breaking your heart crying.
I’m not telling the plot. But it’s good. No, scrap that... its awesome. I would like to say this is a love story where I would like to be the female. But I don’t think I would be as strong as Liz. So I won’t wish to be her, but this will definitely stay me.
The only gripes I had were the repetitive sentences and that sometimes the story would jump around. Things were put in this book that just weren’t needed (like hovering the curtains when all I cared about was what had happened to Michael.) and they were put in there at bad times. One minute she was talking about feeling ill, the next minute about another character, followed by a long description of him them. Bad timing. But they are the only gripes.
Pick up this book, go somewhere quiet and enter a world of true love, sacrifice and bravery that will capture you mind, heart and soul, just as it has mine. (less)

When I first opened this book I was rather excited. The blurb sounded good and lets face it, that cover really begs “read me now!” However, from the very first page I developed an instant dislike for Cole. His whole attitude really pissed me off and I just didn’t care for him. Subsequently this affected the read for me and it took me a long time to find one single thing I liked about him. (I’m still trying to figure out if there is anything. So I’ll add on to this review at a later date.) Anyway, because of this, I found myself skimming through quite a bit of the book, hence my star rating has been really affected. How can I rate the book as amazing when I can’t stand the main character?
Other than that this book is quite good. The storyline is different. Cole can use his terminal illness to help rid the world of Vampires. He must decide whether to join the secret society of the Venatori (Anyone else think ‘Twilight’ here?) He also wants to live out what’s left of his life with the woman he loves, Leila.
So, to sum it up. The storyline is interesting and there are a good few twists and turns. The main character isn’t my cup of tea, however, the writer has made him 3 dimensional (as with all the other characters). The book is visual, which is always good and even though I hate Cole. I would like to see what happens next. (less)

The storyline itself isn’t too in depth, but the characters, settings and practically everything else you find in the book makes up for this. I liked Asahel the most I think. Although at the beginning of the book he seems to be belittled and the under-dog, as we progress through the pages we find this definitely isn’t the case. Yeah, I like him a lot.
The idea of the story is heartwarming. Men trying to find out why it is against the law to perform magic on the human body. It’s hard because Quentin is trying to help his wife, who he completely adores. He wants to be able to cure her from... I’m not telling you. But he wants her to be able to love him as dearly as he loves her. They challenge the laws which prevent them from helping her... and so the adventure begins.

This plot in this story is very interesting. It’s not something I have read before and so that was a breath of fresh air. Of course the whole forbidden love thing isn’t new, but who doesn’t love it?? The writing style flows very well and is easy to read. But... I don’t want to sound too negative here, however, how many times does a reader need to be told that a guy is gorgeous or amazing? We get it, he’s awesome! Maybe even the best thing since sliced bread! We don’t need to be told this over and over and over. When she isn’t droning on about this, and the romance between the two characters actually takes over, it’s nothing short of beautiful. There is no filth or smut, just swoon-worthy, tasteful and did I mention beautiful? Romance.
Now, although the romance was written perfectly, and that involves Brianna, I didn’t like her very much at all. She’s too obsessive and rather dull. This is a great shame as she has a good story revolving around her. Maybe she should act like a normal girl instead of... well her! Yes I know this is a fantasy and she’s learning new things about what and who she is. But come on girl. Sometimes I just wanted to slap you.
On the bright side, this author shows promise and I do hope the story will continue. It not often these days that you find a storyline which is pretty unique. I hope the author keeps that up! She has a very wild imagination and does a great job in writing this book so that it’s visual to the reader. (less)

I wrote a small one when I was a child for a school project, but that was it. I didn’t know what to expect when I first started reading, but when I was only a few pages in I’d fell in love with it.
Each poem is beautifully written and heartfelt. It is obvious they were inspired by life events. The raw emotion in each one captures not only your imagination, but your heart too.
We then have a great selection of short stories. Perfectly written to once again capture you.
All in all while reading this book I experienced many different emotions. I smiled at times but then, also felt rather sad at others. Occasionally the writing would pull me in so much that while I was reading I could feel the hairs on my neck stand on end.

This book was good, but not what I had hoped for. I’ve read some amazing reviews on this work but I can’t write one myself. The writing style simply wasn’t for me and really distracted me from the story. This isn’t a particularly long book at yet its taken me four days to read it. In the end I just skimmed over the pages.
The idea behind the awkward writing was pretty good. A young guy who suffers terrible side effects after being in a car accidental a few years ago. Allergic to the sun, insomnia and sickly during the day.
The character Cor was built up rather well, but I didn’t feel anything for the supporting characters. They were two dimensional. The Geek speak got on my nerves too.

This is a very short and quick read. Sadly, although the storyline is interesting and shows promise, the writing is extremely distracting. We don’t read the story, nor are we able to visualise anything, we’re told this, that and the other. Simple. There is no depth to the characters, nothing. The book has never been edited, the layout was erratic and that, plus the enormous amount of italics used, takes your attention from the story.
I really started to struggle reading this despite the interesting concept. It involves two supernatural beings who are running away from Eclipse; an organisation of a mad scientist. The problem is, that’s all we know, we don’t feel for the characters and by the end of the book, I didn’t really care what happened to them. I don’t feel as though I know them and sadly, will most likely forget this story in a day or two. Part of it I can’t remember even now, hence the reason I’m not delving to much into the storyline.
I think the author needs to take this back to the drawing board. Add more TLC, descriptive writing, make the characters three dimensional and learn how to set the story out properly. Also, maybe not delve into the minds of the characters constantly. If you do decide to do this, make sure it is written and set out in a way that makes it easier to read, keep up with and understand.
I don’t mean to sound mean in this review, this is only my personal opinion. I hope the author will redo some of this story. The idea is very good. (less)

This is the best book of the series by far. The writing flows better, there is more emotion, feeling... everything! I was going to say that author Bonnie Bernard saved the best of herself for the last book, however, I’ve read there will be another book in this series. So I can’t wait to see how that one will read.
Once again we’re reunited with characters we’ve already grown to love. Their stories keep you gripped to pages, anxiously waiting to find out what happens next. There are twists and shock betrayals in this book which I personally didn’t see coming, so beware, you’re in for a treat and shock.
Bonnie Bernard has written a great story here. Each book keeping the reader wanting to know what direction the story will go next, and surprising us every step of the way.
I hope there will be a fourth book in this series and that it isn’t just a rumour.
Can I also say thank you to the author for submitting this book to me for an honest review.

I enjoyed this book at lot more than the first. The writing was more stable only occasionally going a little out of plonk. There is more action, witty lines to keep you amused and tension and excitement to keep you glued to the pages.
We meet new characters and are reunited with the ones we already enjoyed spending time with in the first novel. I have to say I love the demon in this book. Then again I love anything to do with demons. This character is great and actually had me laughing out loud at times with some of the things he came out with.
This author is definitely growing as a writer, that is clearly evidential. I would say this book is actually better than a lot you get from the bigger publishing houses these days.
Thank you for submitting this book for an ‘honest’ review. I hope I get the pleasure of reading and reviewing the final instalment. (less)

I followed the story very well in most parts, but some of it towards the mid-end section became rather confusing (only a little part). Also the ending was a little frustrating. Having said that, it does leave it open and set up well for a sequel.
The writing style was very good, and for the most part, easy to follow. The characters are both likeable and well developed. The author also makes this novel very visual, which most people know I love, so I felt like I was walking alongside the characters.
I will look forward to more work from this author. (less)

I’m so torn with this book to be honest, whilst the storyline was very good and a refreshing change from a lot of other stories out there at the moment. The writing was really awkward and to me it seemed to jump around and be rushed in parts. This was really distracting at times and had me wanting to throw my Kindle across the room. I’d have felt sorry for it had it been a paperback.
It took me a while to get into the story due to the frustrating writing. After a while, luckily the storyline was good enough to keep me wanting to read. I don’t do spoilers, what I will say is, if you want a fresh idea, with mystery and suspense, twists and turns, then give the book a try. I’ll be starting the second in the series in a few days. The good and refreshing thing about this book is that the vampires aren’t shimmering goodie goodies who just wanted to be loved, or see what they are as such a curse and burden. Welcome back old style, tough as hell, frightening (to some) vampires.
I thought I would enjoy this book and I was right to an extent. At first I found it rather hard to get into and kept putting the book down and doing other things. It seemed far to overwritten and that got on my nerves. But after the first few chapters the pace picked up. The characters are well developed and whilst at first we think Cianna and Declan are regular human beings, we soon learn they have a gift. A pretty cool one if you ask me. I love the characters and the author did a good job at making the reader feel their love for each other and just how loyal they are to one another. The authors descriptions of the crime scenes are very good too.
After a while the story seemed to jump around and it times it became a little hard to follow. You also left with a lot of unanswered questions and whilst I know this is good when its the start of a series, I would have expected a few more answers than we were given. Maybe even a shock factor or a big twist. Sadly that didn’t happen. I also noticed a lot of typos and grammar errors.
All in all though, after the first few chapters, this was an entertaining read, and I’m looking forward to reading the next instalment. (less)

This is not a short book and yet I finished it within two days. THAT is how much it keeps you glued to the pages.
Now I need to be careful with what I say here, because the book is full of twists and turns, very few of them are predictable and I would hate to ruin anything for future readers. The characters are likeable and believable. The character Seth is great, well created and three dimensional, but then, so are all the characters.
As people who know me well already know, I’m a lover of horror and anything that gives you the creeps or send shivers down your spine etc. Well this one definitely gave me the creeps. Not scary creeps but more the fact that what happens in this book, does happen in real life. To know there are people out there committing these atrocities is rather worrying. But the way in which... (need to be careful here) everything happens (I’m telling you nothing) its genius and well thought out. Definitely worthy of the five star rating. For something to give ME the creeps... well, that doesn’t happen often so I’m more than impressed.
I will certainly be reading (and hopefully review.. hint! lol) Sherry Foleys books in the future. (less)

The writing flows well most of the time. My only grip was that sometimes I had to skim a few paragraphs as the descriptions were too long. It kinda made the book drag in places. Other than that this has kept me entertained all night, and I look forward to reading the sequels. (less)

Oh yeah, and I love this cover as much as I did the first.
Now for the really important part....
As anyone who follows me or my shared review page will know, I absolutely loved Night Marchers and quickly became a fan of these two very talented authors. It opened my eyes to a new world (which is no easy task) and for me, the story was unique. So did ‘Redemption’ capture my heart and soul like the first book? The answer is simple... Yes!
I love our heroine, Emma. She is very realistic and I think a lot of people will relate to her. I’m not giving away the plot line, I don’t want to ruin it for anyone. What I will say briefly is that Emma is torn between two guys who love her dearly. Well, send Kai to me and you can have Kao? Just a suggestion.
Redemption has a lot more action and reads at a much quicker pace. Action packed from beginning to end. It keeps you glued to the pages and constantly wanting more. The book is also very ‘visual’. By that I mean, I can see everything crystal clear, I feel as though I am literally inside the book, walking beside this colourful bunch of characters. That to me is very important. I believe this series would be great for the big screen and I would definitely be one of the first in line to go and see it.
I’m looking forward to reading more by these two authors, and recommend anyone who loves a unique story, filled with action, myths and romance to read these amazing novels. (less)
