Eve handled the romance, the tension and back story beautifully in a short story that was complete to me, yet I could have happily read more if she continued. It has a sensual and seducing tone to it, that was deep and yet playful. I am looking forward to reading more of her work.(less)

So I set my partner of with the task to go to our local library and find me something I would enjoy reading. My partner spends most of his time on the computer reading it, so I trusted him to both find me something entertaining, and to my tastes. He followed through.
Cage of Eden is creepy, gory, somewhat subtly sexual at times, and a provoking exploration of what I believe is a parallel universe or shift in time (that I am not sure of yet, but by god you can bet I want to read to unravel the mystery.)
The characters are in their early teens, fuelled with hormones, crazy ideas and interesting survival skills. I grew attached fast to them. Which I wasn't expecting and I loved the diversity of their skills and personalities. They are still naive, have a long way to go to character journey and strength, yet I know already that I need to know what happens to them.
When the plane crashes, and they are shifted from their normal world, I was instantly intrigued by the new land that surrounded them, the mystery of what happened to land them there, and what would become of them all. Not a great deal happens to the main characters in the story, a few secrets are uncovered or at least poked at. There were times when I was flipping pages, and other times when I wanted to get to the truth of it all. I was surprised, and intrigued and I really enjoyed the premise and what the author and artist delivered. It is certainly unique in a way I have never read about.
It was a great start to the series, one that I am willing to invest in continuing. If you want something a little different, where you can learn at the same time I would recommend picking this one up. It is fast paced, action promising, and there is even a little romance if you read between the lines.(less)

Let me start of by saying it has been a long time since I have read such a creative, fantastically written and absorbingly engaging book on my kindle. Since my last one died. I decided to start fresh and work my way through some new fiction. I happened to be looking for some smutty erotica when I stumbled upon this beauty – Sex, Love, Repeat, and by God am I glad that I did. It was exactly what I needed to rekindle my love for reading in general and to enjoy it on my new kindle.
Sex, Love, Repeat is not your typical romance. When going into this I was drawn to it instantly because the main female character has two partners who were consenting of each other. Being in a Polyamorous relationship, I was excited by the possibility of reading a unique and refreshing take on romance. I got everything I wanted from the aspect of romance, connection, sexual tension and angst and so much more. This novel hit the marks for me. It took me where I needed and wanted to go and beyond it.
Let's take a minute to talk about the two men – pwarr- Could there be a better cast of Males. These two are certainly flawed, but god are they hot and let me tell you there was one too many times when I was picturing myself in Madison's place, under the delicious bodies of these men who knew how to press her buttons and treat her right. That being said they really grew as characters for me, they changed and for the better. Each had their own internal healing and through the story they truly did show the inner turbulence and fight.
It's no surprise there are two women. Madison being the main character, and later we learn Dana. Together this duo made for one hell of a story in such a unique and beautiful way. I could not help it. I fell for both of them. Like the men, they had their imperfections, but they were also incredibly independent, strong minded women. Albeit Dana had me worried. The mystery element to their story had me turning the page, while the outcome left me deeply satisfied.
The best part about this novel is that it kept me guessing. The twists, even though I had my suspicions turned me upside down and dragged me into this story. There were moments of sheer human connection that had me tearing up, while other scenes had me gripping the sheets in both titillating pleasure and heat, and heart thumping anxiety. Alessandra definitely put me through an emotional shit storm through part of the book, though I wouldn't have it any other way.
The way Alessandra drew both the past and present stories together was amazing. I do love a good flashback, and this did chop and change back and forth a lot. It was also written in several characters perspectives. Thankfully, she did it right and it was never confusing to read or a struggle. It was engaging cover to cover.
Finally I will say that the epilogue really felt out of place for me, especially in the context of the story. I needed a few days to determine if it was enough of a bother for me to take my ratings down a notch and since it really did affect the way I perceived certain characters and situations I am going to have to.
Overall I fucking loved this. Adored it. New favourite author. I have brought two of her books on physical print and am going about buying and reading everything I can get my hands on. It is totally worth the read, and should be on your radar.

I have a thing of pseudo incest, I am not going to sugar coat that I am a kinky bitch. So going into it I knew what it was going to be about. Although I was rather tempted by the idea of the Devil “actually” being inside the girls body rather than it being subjective. None the less once I got into the rhythm of characters natural naivety [although bracing since they are adults] I rather enjoyed the little short story. Not the best thing I have read, but the quotes were beautiful, ones I would write down and collect and Kitt's writing was a great introduction.(less)
