I so loved this book, I hate that I waited so long to read it...This book is another vampire and werewolf war thing, but it does have a different kind of spin to it. The reason it keep me so interested is because of the “diary” and the “stone”, these all tie into the destiny of these characters. Let me just say that I love the history the author laid out (the reason for vampires and werewolf) and the character development. Jack isn't my FAV character, but he is defiantly up there; he is one of those kinds of people that everyone likes-but is different in a good way. Of course most people know that I adore the "bad guys" and to say the least old Jersey does the trick for me. He is dark, sexy, dangerous, he has a calm crazy attitude, mix that in with timeless and a splash of mad man and there you have him!!! I love him too pieces-Now, Silver on the other hand is one character I really didn’t like from the beginning, to me she is too superficial, but I do think that the author wants you to see her that way and you will know why once you read the book. The rest of the supporting characters are great and make the story flow easy. I will say that I hope this author isn’t so “G” rated that the story falls flat in the next book. I so want to read it soon!!! (less)

One thing I do know is that this young girl is been under alien influence and the alien requires some...not so nice things of her. It seems at that age of 15-16 the girls hormones are out of control and she has sex with everyone and then takes revenge on certain people that have been hard on her while she was at the temple. Some worship her and then some are scare of her, needless to say she has transformed her body into a 4 legged creature that desires sex!!! :-( Finally she takes a true lover she cares for and soon starts to fight the alien presents that is controlling her mind!!!
I so have to read this over and I don't mean it in a bad way; I just don't understand what this story was for really. (less)

Don't get me wrong, some would have been great; but the every other paragraph had me highly upset. The story was fast pace and the plot was all about survival, which made the story flow really well with the events. Also, I loved the "how" the zombies started I just wished that there was more of the story without all the military info, if he would have cut about 40% off the military talk…this would have been a 5 star book(less)
