I finally gave in and checked out the audio version from the library so I could kill the time of my commute AND "read" the book. I have never read any of Audrey Niffenegger books before, but after this one I will definitely seek her out in the future. It is a love story without being a sappy love story. She skillfully developed Claire and Henry, in their own rite as well as building them as a couple. Although many of the supporting characters were brief, I felt I knew them and could pick them out in a crowd. Although a happy ending would be nice, it would have left you unfulfilled with this book. I have never seen the movie adaptation of this book and do not intend to since I have such vivid images from reading the book I believe "seeing" the story would ruin the book for me.
