He has crafted a story that will take readers on a wild ride through the darker side of Chicago where the Outfit rules. It's almost scary in how real it could be which makes it all the better! There's also a slight paranormal twist that will make readers even more intrigued and desperate for answers. If you're looking for a unique YA novel, COLD FURY is for you.
While Sara Jane starts out as a quite girl who stays in the background of the world, she quickly blossoms into the fighter she's meant to be when everything goes horribly wrong. I cannot imagine losing my family like that and dealing with the scary aftermath. The moment that she finds out exactly what her family was hiding, she takes it in with considerable inner strength and finds the will to find her family no matter what the cost. Sara Jane is my kind of girl!
While the first hundred pages are full of background information that may take a toll on readers, just know that right after that 100 mark the story kicks off big time. Goeglein will surprise readers with a considerable amount of twists and turns that will have their heads spinning. There isn't a moment of calm in Sara Jane's storm and the reader is right alongside her for her journey.
I'm genuinely surprised at how much depth COLD FURY contained. It is full of heart-wrenching moments that will have you feeling for Sara Jane and moments when there's so much tension that there isn't room to breathe. The whole tiny paranormalish aspect was fascinating on its own and I can't wait to learn more about that and more in upcoming books. COLD FURY is a winner!...more

Wolff has proven herself with frightening vampires with ulterior motives, but in BLOOD FEVER, she shows that not all vampires are evil. Sexy Scottish vampire Carden will have girls swooning and vying for him and Drew. The stakes are raised even higher in BLOOD FEVER, so if you were a fan of the first two books in the series, this one is right up your alley.
Drew is back in BLOOD FEVER and as fierce as ever. Her strong fighter spirit doesn't let anyone get her down, no matter how hurtful their words or punches. I have tremendous respect for Drew and in all honesty, she's someone I would aspire to be if I lived in a world like hers. Let's just say I am thankful that I don't though, because she goes through some seriously scary trials that had me shivering in anticipation of the outcomes.
I thought that I loved Ronan, but I have to say that Carden has surpassed him in all ways after reading BLOOD FEVER. Ronan barely has a chance to come on the scenes with this head strong vampire determined to be in Drew's life. Oh, and they're bonded so that just makes their relationship that much steamier. I think it is safe to say that Carden has won me over, no matter how yummy Ronan may be.
There is so much action in BLOOD FEVER that you won't have a moment of peace before the next problem arises. Of course, Drew kicks some serious booty in this one and while I won't say who, I will say that I was extremely happy that she finally got her revenge. The romance is as steamy as every in BLOOD FEVER, especially with Carden. WOW, he and Drew sure create some serious sparks when they're together, no matter the circumstances. I can't wait for more of Carden, that's for sure.
If you haven't yet read this series, you are sure missing out! It may appear to be just your average vampire YA on the outside, but on the inside it is so much more than that. So take a chance on this series. I can guarantee you won't regret it!...more

Richelle Mead brings the heat (in many ways) in THE INDIGO SPELL! It is by far the best book in the Bloodlines series to date. Sydrian fans are going to go bananas with certain events that go down. I was giggling like a school girl during one special scene. There's also as much action and mystery that fans have come to expect from Mead. She will have your head spinning at the revelation of quite a few things! Oh, and did I mention that Marcus Finch is a prominent part of THE INDIGO SPELL? You're welcome. ;)
Sydney has easily become one of my favorite heroines to read about. In Bloodlines she's such a closed book and we barely get a peek into her true potential, but after The Golden Lily it becomes much more evident what a strong, confident, and loyal young woman she can truly be. She's willing to do whatever it takes to protect those she cares about, no matter the cost to herself. In THE INDIGO SPELL, Sydney blossoms into an even more beautiful and admirable heroine that readers will easily stand by and root for. Go Sydney!
I feel like the Bloodlines books are just as much about Sydney as they are about Adrian. He has come so far since the beginning of Bloodlines. I can't say I'm surprised though. I always knew that Adrian couldn't be the drunken partier Moroi forever. He had to grow up at some point, and this book series has allowed him to do that. Richelle Mead brings out a different side to Adrian in her latest book, one that I can say that he should be proud of. I have always been a huge Dimitri fan, but I must say that by the end of THE INDIGO SPELL, I am Team Adrian all the way.
I did mention the word Sydrian, didn't I? Well, I most definitely don't want to spoil any of the surprises about them for you, except to say that I was grinning so much by the end of the book. Sydney and Adrian are such complete opposites, but at the same time they are one in the same person. They both have this amazing inner strength that resonates with the world. Sydney and Adrian also happen to have this blazing chemistry that practically ignites the pages! Whew! I may have had to turn the fan on full-force at one point. ;) How does Richelle Mead do it? I didn't think she could beat the Dimitri/Rose relationship, but Sydrian are sure giving them a run for their money.
THE INDIGO SPELL is pure heaven covered in decadent chocolate. I can't believe that Mead can still continue to stun me 10+ novels later. Another book well done, Richelle. I tip my hat to you!...more
