A time when Clans fought in Scotland, bravery, Romance, great characters, and what I love the most is that the author wrote the book in more modern day english, not the old Scot garb, which becomes frustrating at times.

Oh, I enjoyed reading this book so very much, a page turner, great characters and I want more, I want a 2nd book for this one. There are a few characters that I'd like to see how they made out in their lives.
The Woodson family is on vacation in the country side of Ireland when a nuclear bomb detonates in the atmosphere over the Irish Sea. Nothing works, no electric, no cars, no nothing, so they try to survive in a small Irish cottage. But there's trouble brewing, a mother's worse nightmare and courage she never knew she had, changes their lives forever. The country side is turning into kill or be killed, bad men killing people, animals, torture.......but can one mother/wife save her family? Oh, this is a must read!!!!!!

But Sarah Collier had her doubts at a teenager, after embarrassing herself and family, when at the age of 15, she ran down the church isle to stop Travis (her true love, so she thought) from marrying Crystal. Sarah was a chubby teen, had no true friends except for Travis, who was a few yrs older then she, but he was always her friend. Took her fishing, etc. Now she lost him.
She grew up, nice and trim and slim now, a children's book famous author. "Sadie Cool" is her pen name. She swears that she will never give her heart to anyone ever.
