I fell in love with both the hero and heroine because they were so real to me. Unlike the first book, you can actually feel the connection between the two characters and their romance was smokin' hot and very sweet as well! It wasn't one of those books where the H/hr hooked up the first time they met, but one where you see a relationship start growing into love. I really did enjoy this second installment to this series and I'm definitely looking forward to Abe and Jainie's happily ever after. Plus, I'm actually quite certain that there is something between Celia and Kyle!! Can't wait for that one. A big five stars to Saddle and Spurred from me!
Harper Masterson happens to be the town's beauty queen who is drop dead gorgeous with a heart of gold. She's been taking care of her sister Bailey ever since her mother left them to elope with a guy named Mac. After that incident, she strives to be the complete opposite of her mother and works hard for a living. When she finds out that she's been fired by one of her two jobs, she calls her friend Celia who pretty much suggests her to work for Branford Turner (without actually telling Harper who she's working for)! The thing that I love most about Harper is the fact that she is a dreamer. When she falls in love with Harper she gives her whole self to him, heart and soul. There seems to be a history between Bran and Harper because even though they've hung out with the same group of people, they've never actually interacted with one another. Until fate brings them together of course! No matter how Bran tries to ignore it.
Bran Turner happens to own one of the ranches in Muddle Gap and he's pretty much known Harper forever because her best friend is Celia, who is Hank's younger sister, who is Bran's best friend. He's always been intimated by her beauty and feels as if she is untouchable so he doesn't exactly treat her very nice. Even if Harper is totally his type! Well, fate finally brings him together or should I say Celia, and Bran ends up hiring Harper as a helping hand on the ranch since he desperately needs help and she, a job. At times, I thought Bran was pretty dence but then again, aren't all guys like that? Even though Bran isn't exactly described as a God, he is considerably handsome in a normal way and I think that is what makes him real. At one point in the story, it was rather heartbreaking because the reason why Bran thought Harper was intimidated in the beginning was because he was comparing his physical appearance to hers. If that didn't make any sense, just read the book and you'll see!
Now, the thing I loved most about this book was the romance! As much as it was hot, it was also very sweet and heart-achingly beautiful. The relationship started off sexual because Harper intended to leave when her sister graduates... but neither did Bran or Harper realize that it would eventually grow into something more. And even though they were lovers, they were also friends as well and I think that is what stole the show for me. Harper loved everything about Bran and there was a part in the book where she started listing them! Of course, in any romance, there has to be conflict right? It happened towards the end and I definitely don't want to add more spoilers to this review! Let's just say the hero and heroine both achieved their HEA together....more

Branded As Trouble is Colt's book with India/Indy. I love stories where friends become lovers so this was definitely my kind of book! Their romance was sweet and sexy hot. Wow, does Lorelei James know how to write some smokin' love scenes between her characters. Some of the characters in previous books have also made an appearance in here, so it may be a good thing to read them before or after just to refresh your memory. Anyway, if you're in the lookout for a super hot western erotica romance series, you should definitely check out this one!
Colt McKay happens to be the "black sheep" in the family, as read/seen from the previous books. He's had an alcohol problem for awhile and has been attending the AA ever since. For three years as a matter of fact. And there, he befriends and eventually falls in love with India Ellison. India is not your typical girl of course. She's tough-looking but has a heart of gold AND, she does tattooing for a living... which is often talked and looked down upin in the town that they all live in in Wyoming. Well, Colt and Indy meet and secretly fall in love with each other during their many years of friendship and neither one of them has made a move. Their friends to lovers phase finally begins when they both agree to start out slow and date each other. It's truly refreshing to see something like this happen in erotica romances!
Either way, things start off with a bang between the two and they eventually end up going from the dating stage to the lovers stage. Whoo! And boy, was it sexy! Of course, with any romance, there has to be conflict right?
Indy and Colt happen to have a few issues when it comes to trusting one another... so things get a little bit complicated. But beyond that, thankfully everything worked out and they decided to resolve their issues by trusting each other and apologizing to one another towards the end. Overall, this was another wonderful read in the series! I'm definitely looking forward to Cam and Domini's story in Shoulda Been A Cowboy next. 5/5 stars!...more
