But wow, was it one hot read. If you love dirty talk and you're in the mood for a story with mindless hot sex... then this is the one you should go for. I'm really not kidding about that. I mean, it was only a dollars worth of a book and the cover was smoking hot so I guess you could say it was worth your buck, lol! It was definitely a delicious debut by the author and I hope that her next books will be longer with a steady plot and character development.
As for the gist of the plot, it's basically about an office lady who fantasizes about this guy she sees in her workplace. She happens to get lucky one day and they both end up trapped in an elevator and that's where the fun truly begins! Based on the erotism alone, this book would earn a 5 stars. But based on plot, romance, and characterization, there's really no star to begin with....more

Their moments together were not only special, but it also signfies that they are perfect and complete for one another. Regardless of their social status and mistrust, in the end, everything will eventually work out. Miss Grace Burrowes, I am officially you're new fan. I can't wait to read The Soldier, the second installment to this series when it comes out next!
First off, I'd like to point out how oddly this story reminds me of Unveiled by Courtney Milan. No, I'm not saying that it's the same, but the concept is very similar and I loved Unveiled so it's quite obvious why this book picked up my interest. "Mrs. Anna Seaton" is not who she says she is and to be frankly honest, I did find the secret through the entire book interesting. It kept me thinking and deciphering out who Anna truly is. Anna herself, is a strong character full of wit, and it was quite amusing seeing as to how she interacted with Gayle! And oh Gayle... God, I love how he has a sugar tooth. I have to admit, he's one of the reason why you just have to adore the hero and have your heart break the next. I wanted to SLAP him in the end. The other reason is because of Anna and well, their love story was really sweet. It took him awhile to realize that he loves her even though she kept insisting that she must leave him due to the "burden" that she carries. This quote really signifies how heartbreaking it is for her, and also for him, when he realizes that he never wants to let her go.
"Even when I cried,” she said, a world of resignation in her tone, “I was glad to be here with you, Westhaven. Believe that, if you believe nothing else of me.” What she had meant was: Even when I cried because I must leave you, I was glad to be here with you… Believe that if you believe nothing else of me when I find the courage to finally go."
As much as this book is a regency and historical romance novel, the love scenes... whoo! Wow, I would have to say their passion for one another almost set the sheets on fire. It was almost erotic, let me tell you that and I really did enjoy it. Gayle was generous and I loved how his main goal was to pleasure her and only her. That isn't something any man in his time would do for their lover. Anyway, other characters were introduced in this book; for example Valentine and Devlin! Devlin's book will be out next so I'll definitely look forward to that. He has a sort of devilish characteristic, while Valentine seems much more soft-spoken and sweet... which is no wonder because he is a musician and paired with Morgan?! In all, I really did enjoy this book because of the wonderful and heart-felting romance between the hero and heroine. It was very charming along with the mysterious aspect of it as well. Thumbs for for The Heir and another five stars from me!...more
My heart broke for Remington because despite all of the misfortunes that he has endured for five years after his disappearance, he has always and willMy heart broke for Remington because despite all of the misfortunes that he has endured for five years after his disappearance, he has always and will still love Victoria no matter what. Just because he broke her heart after he left for Venice and stopped contacting her for all these years, she became a cold-hearted person. It's really amazing that I still feel compassion for her, but I do. I don't blame either of them, Remington nor Victoria. It's just things happen at the wrong place and time-- especially, concerning to what exactly happened to Remington during his stay in Venice... Which I'll let you readers figure out what happened once you read this book. For one, I definitely cried my heart out in the beginning because of the beautiful and blossoming relationship between them and the situation that eventully broke it.
Anyway, at least there were quite a few things that I loved about this book and that is Viscount Jonathan Remington and his best friend and Victoria's cousin, Grayson. I would like a story for him, definitely. He's one entertaining character, that's for sure! I adore Remington because of his belief in magic and hope. It really gives the story a Cinderella-ish sort of theme doesn't it? He has loved Victoria since forever, when he was merely nineteen years old and she, seventeen. To be honest, Victoria came off as a spoiled brat in the beginning because even though Remington declared his love for her, she ignores it and tells him to wait for her coming out and then she'll think about it. Wow, that's pretty cold. But oh well, brats will be brats. Thankfully, she grew up to be a much better person... I guess, lol.
Either way, Once Upon a Scandal was my first book by Delilah Marvelle and I have to say, I really liked it! She really does have a way with her stories and I love her hero because unlike other Regency romance novels that I've read, the hero actually believes in soulmates and fate. Isn't that just cute? Although he does have his dark side... be so forewarned. Overall, I shall give this book a five stars! As for the rest of the book and what'll happen between the two after Remington comes back (dun, dun!)... why don't you read it and find out. ;) It's definitely a twist that I didn't expect to have happened....more

Everything I thought Ash would become aI have to say, Courney Milan did an excellent job making the perfect hero in her newest installment, Unveiled! Everything I thought Ash would become as a character, was entirely different as to how he truly became later in the book. He was sweet, loveable, protective, and very endearing-- even if some of the things that he did made me want to smack him for hurting Margaret. And Margaret, oh she was a strong heroine all right. From the very beginning, she was smart, full of wit and a backbone; which I absolutely adore about her! The story began with the two as enemies but slowly and surely, they both begin to fall in love with one another.
As for the secret, I felt as if the "lie" would eventually lead to many heartbreaks along the way. But... Ash proved me wrong, again. He actually embraced it and didn't blame her?! Which I thought was very sweet and touching. See how different he is from other males during that era? Instead, he blamed Margaret's brothers because they were the ones who left her alone and unprotected! And, I couldn't possibly agree with more. As for others characters in the book, I also really liked Ash's younger brother Mark. He was so awkwardly innocent and very wicked at the same time. Just read the book and find out why. ;)
Now, let's talk about the romance! It was rather very cute and very sexy at the same time. I can honestly say that Ash is an Alpha/Beta male who could be very sweet to his lady love one moment, and yet very possesive the next. I loved the forbbiden romance feeling that these two characters have for one another because of that fact that they can never be together... or can they? Even though Ash didn't realize she was supposedly a daughter of his enemy until halfway through the book, my heart broke for Margaret because she was stuck in a situation that she didn't want to be in. She never meant to fall in love with him, but it was just too great to stop. In the end, there would be only two choices that she could make: Her family or her love for Ash?
Overall, I loved the ending for this book because it was very heart-warming... and sweet! The characters were great, the romance was lovely, and I even forgave Margaret's brother (well one of them anyway) in the end. This was truly another great book by Courney Milan ever since Proof By Seduction. I will definitely be buying my own copy once this is published!...more

Yes, it's sexy but you've got to give this author a chance. Even though I'm not really sure how I feel about this book, it's a pretty good erotica romance for Tibby Armstrong's first debut. The love scenes were scorching hot, even if the hero was a jerk at first. He's definitely a verocious lover and both the hero and heroine have had past traumas and the "villain" was easy to figure out. The writing itself is vivid and very sexy, along with characters that will definitely capture your attention.
Let's talk about our hero in this book, David the superstar musician and our heroine, Kyra the musician reporter. I did say he was a verocious lover didn't I? Wow, they definitely connect with one another fast! Well let's just say he's one of those tortured heroes with a traumatic past that ends up haunting him in the present. Not to mention I love how Kyra had the ability to change him. It was a really sweet ride all the way! Kyra herself, has had a tortured past when she was young, but I'll leave it at that because I don't want to give any spoilers away. I admit that at first, I did not sympathize with the characters right away because it seems like this book was going to be some kind of sex fest the whole way... but I was wrong. There were so many emotions festered up in this book that made me go wow. It was really much more than that.
This was definitely one enjoyable, interesting, and extremely sexy read. It's for sure that I'll be looking forward to more of Miss Tibby Armstrong's books in the future. I'm giving this a five stars book for hot and steamy love scenes and for the electrifying spark between the two main characters. ;)...more

This is definitely one book that yThe words wow, wonderful, and beautiful pretty much describes my feelings after finishing Beyond Eden by Kele Moon. This is definitely one book that you don't want to miss out on, I can guarantee you that. When I first started reading this book, I came unprepared because not only was I not expecting the tears... but also the heart-breaking and heart-wrenching emotions that these three people have for one another. This is truly a wonderful masterpiece that I'll never likely forget. Any book that brings tears to my eyes is a 5+++ star book to me!
This book was not only a fascinating read, but it also shocked me to the core. Kele Moone definitely knows how to write stories that will move readers through tears-- and I absolutely love that. I can't say enough how marvelous this book was to me because of how the author has truly captured the essence of her characters through the raw attachments, and the love between the three. I admit that I did not like Danny Boy at first. I'm not an exactly a big fan of BDSM so Danny's cruel tactics for Eve and Paul made me cringe at times. But alas, he grew on me and I began to feel for him. I did go for Paul and Eve at first because they had a special connection that even Danny himself, was not able to break. And I loved that. It eventually came to and end when I realized that Paul, Eve, and Danny all belong with one another. One struggle that made my heart ache was the struggle between Paul and his "reluctance" to leave the marriage between his fiancee and his true "Master," his father.
I have to agree that this book is not for all readers. If you love BDSM, kink, steamy and erotic love scenes, and threesomes, then this is the book for you. Not to mention it will make you bawl like a baby, I'm not kidding about this. I laughed, cried, and had my heart broken by these three people. But other than that, each and every one of the characters had some serious issues inside of them that needed fixin' so I'm really glad that everything worked out in the end. Other than this, Beyond Eden was a story about true love, friendship, sacrifice, desire, and even pain. Every word was beautifully written, packed with emotions and I give this book a full five stars!!...more

And I thought that Jax Cullen from Simply Irresistible was hot. Ford Walker pretty much redefines sexy and sin all wrapped up in one gorgeous package. Whoo, Tara is one lucky woman! *wink* I thought that I loved the first book... but really, I think I loved both of them as a series overall. Tara and Ford's relationship was so deep, heartbreaking, sweet, and very hot. I mean, woah. Ford definitely knows how to stir up a woman, LOL. I can't wait to read Chloe's story with Sawyer later on this year though. I'm pretty sure that Jill Shalvis will hit it out of the ball park as always~ If you're looking for a contemporary with plenty of steam, an awesome story and a cast of amazing characters to boot, you should really check out this wonderful gem. Heck, I did and I haven't regretted it since!
Let's talk about Tara and Ford. Well, let's just say that their relationship had plenty of misunderstandings and cowardice on Tara's part and reluctance on Ford's. She has always blamed Ford for not chasing after her even though Ford's entire reason for not doing so was because he wanted what 'she thought' was best for her. For 17 long years, Tara never went back or even called him. Thankfully! She actually did go bacl to Lucky Harbot and their love begins again. With the help of their daughter--- WHAT DID I SAY? Hah! You're right. That's another of those fun twists in this book. I found it amusing that at first, Tara wanted a relationship without strings. The success factor for that? None. Tara is literally 'weak' when it comes to Ford. Their get together was steam and very hot though! But of course, there has to be conflict in any romace... and this one is no different. Lot's of 'LOL' moments in this book folks! In comes Logan, Tara's ex-husband to stir up the pot of jealousy. Ford gets jealous and these two men pretty much act like little boys fighting for their woman.
Oh! My favorite moment has to be when Tara told Logan and Ford to get her some apples from the apple tree in the front yard... and they end up competing on who will get the most apples! Logan eventually knocks Ford off his branch using an apple and Ford ends up with a broken leg and Logan a bee sting in which he has an allergic reaction to. The town's Facebook status comes up as: "Tara nearly kills both of her men!" Hilarious!
Anyway, to sum up this review, I loved it even though Ford and Tara pretty much went at it like rabits. Haha! I can't wait for the wild Chloe and stern Sawyer's book in November. ;) 5/5 stars....more
My One and Only is one of those books about finding love again a second time. It's about forgiveness and realizing what went wrong in a love so strongMy One and Only is one of those books about finding love again a second time. It's about forgiveness and realizing what went wrong in a love so strong that ended up in heart-break for more than 12 years. I've read a couple of Kristan Higgins' books before, and so far this is my favorite one! I absolutely loved it because it was a combination of humor, romance, and a little mystery (why Nick and Harper's love ended up dying instead of staying strong). I think I teared up a few times because even though this may seem like a typical contemporary on the outside, there is so much inside that is essentially beautiful. This is definitely one of those books that will be a keeper and I thank Netgalley for granting me this arc to read! Will be buying this one when it comes out March 29th, for sure.
Harper James is the heroine of the story as well as the narrator. Her personality consists of being humorous, cynical, a realist, someone without a heart, and very stunted-- according to Nick, her ex-husband. To be honest, I thought I wasn't going to like her at first because of her "cold bitch" personality... but behind that layer lies a heart-broken girl who never truly understood the concept of falling in love. Yes, she did love Nick, but because of her relationship with her mom, it sort of strained her view of marriage and love. Finding out the real reason why they didn't work out was just heart-wrenching because not only was she at fault, but Nick was as well. After their quick marriage, Harper was unsure of herself because Nick was never at home. And to make matters worse, the issue of her mom abandoning her when she was thirteen-years old did not help at all. Even though Nick was her soul mate and she left him, she still loved him from the bottom of her heart until everything changed. The flashbacks make up a lot of the story but there was also stuff happening in the present as well.
Nick Lowery is the main hero of this book and well... all I can say is, when we first get an introduction of him in the beginning (present-day) he had a very mysterious yet attractive air to him. Harper, even though it had been years since she'd last seen him, was still nonetheless attracted to him. I truly enjoyed his character because he was witty and it seems like whenever he and Harper are together, they end up bickering at one another in a flirtatious way! There were even some moments when I felt like they were tempting each other, so sparks are definitely flying! When readers finally get a flashback of what happened back then... it was just sad because Nick blamed Harper for cheating on him (when she did not) and she blamed Nick because he was never at home and she felt like a check-boxed being checked off after they got married. You see, the very first time when Harper and Nick met, he told her straight off the bat that he was going to marry her! After they got married, she became uncertain about their marriage. Ugh! Yes, lots of misunderstandings, misconceptions, and definitely heart-break.
But thankfully, this ended up with a super sweet note like all of Kristan Higgins' books and everyone lived happily ever after! I'm still happy for them till this day. ...more

Wow, I'm not really sure I have any words to say after finishing this wonderful booMy response after finishing The Clockwork Angel: "What the, nooo!" Wow, I'm not really sure I have any words to say after finishing this wonderful book. The fact that I decided to read the this before The Mortal Instruments series might have made me confused in the beginning, but after reading the book, I began to feel as if this series is truly connected to its decessor. I'm not going to be biased and say that this series is better than Cassandra Clare's first series since I haven't read it yet, meaning there is nothing for me to compare. But I think overall, this book was truly good. It was exciting, mysterious, and rather shocking when the true villain was revealed. I also sense a love triangle so I'm looking forward to that and Will's secret!
I admit that the beginning of the book was a tad bit boring and slow. But soon, the plot picks up right after Tessa gets rescued by Will from the Dark Sisters and readers get a sense of what the plot behind this book is all about. Tessa is an essential asset to something, but it has something to do with her shape-shifting powers and that the Magister wants to possess her. Throughout the entire book, Tessa begins to question her heritage and why exactly she is the way she is. There is no answer for that yet, but hopefully in the next upcoming books, there will be. As for the other characters, I did mention that I find Will Herondale to be an interesting character. I'm pretty sure that Will will become Tessa's love interest, but also Jem as well. Although something tragic must have happened to him in the past... which is why he often tries to build up a wall between himself and Tessa. Jem will also probably be an important character later on in the books because in my opinion, he is the nicer counterpart of Will. And last but not least, the villains. I never would have guessed but I always sensed that it was much more than that and I guess I was right.
Overall, this was truly a great start to The Infernal Devices series and I'm anticipating for the next book, The Clockwork Prince. The ending of the book was a cliff-hanger so I can't wait to see what will happen next!...more

I absolutely adored Natalie and Zach's relationship because of the explosive chemistry that they had together as well as the situation that ensued these two to meet. It may not be my favorite, but it's definitely second best when it comes to the previous book, Naked Edge. I don't know if I can give this review justice, but this was equally another amazing book in the I-Team series! My heart broke for both Zach and Natalie because they were two broken souls who needed love-- esepcially after the tragic events that had to occur in their lives. The characters were well-developed and we actually get to see the rest of the team from the previous books! Hunter, Darcangelo, and my favorite? Rossiter!! There's also Joaquin... which I'm pretty sure we'll be able to get his book later on. I sure hope so because he also deserves his HEA as well.
Let's talk about Natalie, Zach, and their amazing chemistry! I must admit that the way the met was not the best situation. It was horrifying to read how Zach got tortured and how one of the Zetas (Quintana) had sort of 'violated' Natalie. Thankfully, they managed to escape and so begins their journey across the dangerous desert to the border. While I do admit that the romance between these two were hot with a capital H, I also felt that it was a little bit too fast. Zach kept on "assuring" Natalie that nothing was going to come out of this so called 'relationship' that they were having. He just didn't want to admit that he was falling for Natalie. But I do understand the process that came to be because of their love for one another. Natalie knew right off the bat that Zach was the one even though she thought that she wasn't able to love again after her fiancee, Beau died. But... with Zach, she felt as if she was able to love again. As I've said, Zach and Natalie are both lonely people who crave love.
Natalie happens to be the only survivor in her family and Zach happens to be also the only survivor out of his group of friends. Sad isn't it? These two have so much in common with each other that it's heartbreaking. I'm just glad that Zach finally saw the light and accepted his love Natalie and her love for him. Ah, and I must mention the intense love scenes between the two. Wowzers! It was smokin' hot and very sexy. That waterfall scene was a nice bonus, but my favorite part was what happened after Zach told Natalie about his time in the war. I'm talking about the morning after and the intense love session that occurred, LOL! ;)
Overall, I loved it and the villains of the story got what they deserved! My favorite quote related to Zach has got to be one of his monologues:
She was his absolution, his redemption, his salvation.
It's simple yet very meaningful! 5/5 stars!!...more

From the very beginning, I have been captured by it’s story, romance, and its characters within the book. Erin Morgenstern has truly outdone herself by writing such a beautiful and heartbreaking story. Every decision made by the characters in this book are all intricated and related with one another. Like a chess game, each move can determine the winner or the loser. And in this case… the game is played between two individuals, Marco Alisdair and Celia Bowen, who are ultimately pawns in a game in which they have no choice but to continue until the very end. Anyway, READ THIS BOOK! You definitely won’t regret it!...more

Ever since Olivia Cunning's debut, she has been an auto-buy author for me because of her steamy scenes, angst, and just thoroughly made characters. As a whole, this series is a must read for erotica and even contemporary romance fans that has plenty of spice in it. We all thought that Sed Lionheart was a complete douchebag because of his personality in the last book right? But in actuality, there was a reason behind it and in this installment, we get to find out who and why it is. I definitely can't wait to read the next character's book in the series, but I would really love it to be Trey! Although either Eric or Jace is fine with me. A BIG 5 stars for this one.
As I've said before, the romance between Sed and Jessica was pretty 'delicious.' I think I have a thing for heartbroken heroes and their misconceptions. There was a lot of ups and downs in their relationship and at one point, I wanted to shake Jessica and ask why she was doing this. We first find out the reason why Sed and Jessica's relationship did not work out in the prologue because of a pretty huge misunderstanding. And I guess after they broke up... things haven't been the same ever since. My heart broke for Sed because throughout those two years that they have been separated, he has always loved Jessica. Heck, he still keeps her engagement ring and picture with him at all times! After two years, these two finally meet again during Brian's bachelor party because Brian's wedding with Myrna is in a couple of days! Remember Backstage Pass? But yeah, it wasn't a pretty sight because Jessica was working as an 'exotic dancer' at the club (since she needed some money for law school). I don't want to get too in-depth with this but she does have a few problems of her own ever since she and Sed broke up.
Things start heating up when Myrna assigns Jessica as her assistant, which means that Jessica will be living in the tour bus with Sed and the rest of the band. Heh. What do you think will become of this? Of course there will be some steamy love scenes. Jessica becomes jealous of the 'groupies' that Sed brings in and everything starts right there, again. Anyway, the ending was rather sweet and sexy so I am quite satisfied with it. I'm really looking forward to Trey's story because of what he went through in this book! His secret love for Brian is still heartbreaking... as always. But what can he do? Brian is married to Myrna now and when they were talking about having children, Trey's face literally turns into horror. I really hope he will be able to find his HEA and I will trust Olivia Cunning in that aspect!...more
