Sure, it didn't leave me complete because I now desperately want to read the next book, Awakened, but I felt satisfied that it ended with a sort of happy and questionable closing. The entire book emphasized the developement of Stevie Rae and Rephaim's relationship and I really liked that. Zoey didn't get to be in the picture as much and to be honest, I kind of missed her while I was reading it. I liked how the book was told in many points of view and it was refreshing to see the story through a third-person POV and hear the thoughts of some of my favorite characters....more

I really loved the fact that their relationship was so forbidden and that in order to be together, so much would have to be put at risk. I'm going to look forward to the next installment of the series!...more

Even when the series has long ended, and the the first part of the final movie is about to come out. I've read this book like what, five times? And I still cry every single time. What was so special about this book was because it really signified the end for me. Many people thought the ending was lame, incomplete, and it was not justified correctly. To be honest, part of that is correct but the epilogue itself was subtle and delicate; and to me, that was the perfect completion to the story.
Deathly Hallows was my favorite book out of the entire series because of the growth and characterization in the characters. If you compare Harry, Ron, and Hermione from the first book to the seventh book, there is clearly a huge difference. This book is a lot darker than any of the other books combined because of how many of our treasured characters are no longer there anymore. It's a sad relevation but that is exactly what made this book so memorable for me. With death comes a brand new beginning, and that is what J.K. Rowling created for us. A new beginning for each and every one of the characters that have suffered under the reign of Lord Voldemort....more

I absolutely fell in love with the story, the characters, and even the author herself. She's ranked as one of my favorite authors next to J.K. Rowling and that's something alright. They're both geniuses in their work and I'm really glad that I decided to give this series a try. I haven't been able to read a book ever since the Harry Potter series that has been able to pull me into the world of the characters and feel compassion for them.
This book has everything from adventure, romance, and even comedy. Even though the beginning was a bit slow, the story rapidly picks up when Meaghan's brother gets kidnapped and she is thrown into the world of the NeverNever. And let's not forget about Grimalkin! I absolutely love the fairy tale vibe that this books gives out because of the combined elements of Alice and Wonderland and A Midsummer Night's Dream featured in this book. And of course, we can't forget about the lovely love triangle between Meaghan, Ash, and Puck.
Let me just point out that in the beginning, I did not exactly have a good impression on Ash because of the role that he plays as the Winter Prince. But as a result, he slowly grew on me and I absolutely love him after this book and even more after the The Iron Daughter's ending. I did however liked Puck in the beginning, but I soon felt sorry for him because I knew for a fact that Meaghan will never love him as much as she loves Ash. Another reason why I love the romance in this series so much, is the Romeo and Juliet feeling that Ash and Meaghan's situation falls in. They're both from different kingdoms; she is a Summer fey while he is a Winter fey. They can never be together, even if they love each other, because of the clashes between the two kingdoms....more

Well for one, the fact that Grace Emmerson pretends to have an imaginary boyfriend is hilarious and she can't help but be infactuated with her ex-convict neighbor, Callahan O' Shea. Their first meeting resulted in Grace hitting Callahan with her hockey stick in the head and it starts from there.
This was in fact my first book by Kristan Higgins and I think I'm in love. The romance was touching and delighful, the characters will leave you with a deep impression (especially Grace's friend Julian and her sister Margaret), and the story itself was funny and cute in every possible way. Although I did find that the romance was quite slow at first, the end made up for it and I definitely recommend this read to anyone that loves romantic comedy....more
