This book was ultimately a hard read for me. Not because of the authors unique style but because it dared to verge onto a world that ultimately was hard for me to absorb.
Molestation is a hard journey for a survivor to travel through. The act being so heinous that it often takes years to be able to retain some type of semblance of their former faith in humanity. This nature into the worse of mankind has always been something that when seen in the media has made me turn in disgust. Therefore reading it took many breaks for me to obtain away from the book.
Will Van Stone Jr dares to write about an issues that many would rather not and I applaud him for the awareness he brings to it. With that said he also brings the fury out within his characters of how they deal with the travesties of this type of unnamed world.
This book is dark… explosive… driven in revengeful justice that will pull a reader into places they would have not normally traveled. Kudos Will for your brilliant writing style!! ...more

Outside a few times in my life, I have for the most part steered free of YA books. Preferring the adult action packed tales that verge on steamy paranormals. However, as an author I have found myself in company of talented writers who write in the Young Adult arena. Therefore, with that in mind it would be no surprise that Read Me Dead by Emerald Barnes would peek my interest.
The title of this book spoke to me, so some time ago I downloaded it to me Kindle App. Having other reads at the time I had lost tracked of it and found myself detoured until just recently when I was tempted by its pages.
The tale establishes its presence with Alexia who is in my mind a rather frail individual. The teen seems to be reliant on those around her to function outside of her memories as well as never ending dreams of a tragic past. Personally, I found this hard to undertake in my reading and lost myself to yelling at the screen. To explain my meaning here, you must envision yourself watching a horror movie and the heroine trips and you find that you’re screaming for her to get up before she is killed (lol). The entire time (in this so-called movie moment of writable trips), I am hoping that she will find her inner strength to kick some butt. However, being young and not sure of herself or half of what she is truly feeling Alexia struggles for any form of balance. *In addition, I must state here… Bravo author for having me moved in such a way that I was conversing with my tablet.
Emerald Barnes has a bachelors in English and is very talented in creative writing. This particular YA novel, Read Me Dead, emphasizes that fact. If you are a YA enthusiast then please feel free to reach for this particular read. You will be surely entertained. ...more

Some weeks ago, I had the greatest of privileges to be introduced to a bright young writer by the name of S.I. Hayes. Instantly the air was electrified by the creative flow surrounding this particular author.
S.I. Hayes has an immense talent for details and a very vivid imagination in creating her own aspects of every facet she describes. As a reader, you are quickly absorbed and captivated by the landscapes and the world that has been created before your eyes.
Amara displayed in her vibrant flowing fabrics is a warrior set to wander on a journey of penance. However, she is not to meander forever alone for her dreams will set a pace and an unwanted meeting.
Almost at the end of her journey and at a place where the queen’s sting should finally leave her flesh she meets Morgan. Morgan found himself driven to Amara by her nightly visions. They all but seemed to speak to him directly, even through Amara’s broken sleep. The two are not matched by the stars but by a common quest that will set the friction between them even higher.
If your mind seeks the distant journey of walks unknown, then I urge you to reach for S.I. Hayes ‘In Dreams The Road Unavoidable’. ...more

As I read further, loosing myself within the richly enchantment of words, the notice of classic reads caught my interest. How many times I too could claim to the marvelous reads as to the likes of Jane Eyre, Anna Karenina, Jane Austin, and so many more. Perhaps it was too early to say but my fondness for this charming read increased.
My time in life is so very different from Pearl. However, her forbidden desire is a moment I to shared briefly in my young life. As the words became more vivid in my mind’s eye, I was taken back to a brief past.
“Mother, do you remember when I was really happy? That summer when I was with Pearl, I thought I was in heaven. Do you think I shall see her again, I mean in heaven? I would be happy there. I really miss her. I wonder what she’s doing right now…” At this I am crying……
“Another Place Another Time”…. Through this beautiful tale, I felt as if I grew right alongside Pearl. This story is so skillfully told that a reader has no choice but to feel as the character does. This is a must read and I would recommend it to all who wish to be taken to that most allusive space within the mind, where true beauty is sure to grow. ...more

I must first say that Mitt Winstead is what I would call a master of whit. For the past year or so and from the time I met Mitt on twitter he has graced many of my Facebook post with his subtle charm. Therefore, it would be no surprise for me to say that I look on him as a mentor. Although we do not share the same genre, he remains one of my biggest sources of support!
‘Evil in the Mirror’ is a mystery that found its way into my collection by an exchange of words between its author, Mitt Winstead and myself. Although murder mysteries are not my calling, I was intrigued to be able to venture forth into Mitt’s work.
The book took me roughly six hours to read, minus the breaks for coffee. Even with my liquid gold’s pressure mounting, I was unable to gain any distance away from the read. The deadly tale captured every instinct of mine to turn away from the images it projected into my mind. I desperately wanted these animals caught and justice laid upon them. Far too many times, I found myself yelling at the book in hopes the detectives would put the clues together more quickly.
If you are a murder mystery buff this should most definitely be on your reading list. Just tell Mitt, Eri sent you. ...more

Bolted within his own tortured memories he runs to the sea for escape. It is here that the author Dannie Hill creates emotions that will turn any admiration for the sea into a desire to feel so much more.
Through the character, Douglas, we are opened to the inhumanity he witness in others who jeopardize the safety of a young girl. In his attempt to free her he himself is forced to face his own inner beast as well as unspoken love.
Truly a captivating piece of work that I would recommend to any reader. ...more
