The cover is what made me want to read it, but after getting to the part where Mel talked about killing the singer and her friends, it was Déjà-vu so I had to read the book flap where I saw that it was loosely based on the Manson family murders, I read an article before about those killings and it was one of the saddest things ever, I didn't want to continue reading the book after that =/...also, I knew she joined some crazy cult, smh...so sad(less)

I was on maybe page 200 when I finally gave up on it. I mean it was ok but I found I was mostly forcing myself to read it and it’s not suppose to be like that with me and my books, there has to be some love somewhere, lbs…Weiner’s book also threw me for a loop, I had thought it was suppose to be short stories on relationships or at least about the guy not taken, lol, but it was just random short stories that didn’t seem to have any real endings and that annoyed me. I’m also sure if there were characters that I connected with or even liked for that matter, I would have loved the book because there only has to be one but she never really gives you a chance to because the stories end so abruptly…The guy not taken just did not float my boat…BUT other books I’ve read from Jennifer Weiner, they were on point!(less)
