This book had me on a roller coaster ride with Rose's emotions, it was like watching a good drama movie, with loads of confrontations with Rose and her mom and Dimitri. I was really glad we finally got to meet the woman who gave birth to this firecracker.
I loved so much in this book it's hard to type it all down. It kept me up till 3 in the morn. reading I could not put it down then I was crying YES! actually crying the ending was powerful and full of suspense and so sad.
The only down side to this book was in the beginning I felt like I was re- reading the first book all over again with all the info of the first book. I felt the prologue was enough to catch us up on everything.
Besides all that I loved it and can't wait to read more especially to find out more about Lissa's power's and the new guy in town Adrian... :)(less)

The only problem I had was that it took me 282 pages to get there(the reason for the 4*. I guess we needed a build up but I don’t think it needed to be that long of one. Especially with 2 more books to the series to go.
Things that kept me going up to that point of the book was we got to keep up with lissa and see how she was doing with Rose gone. We also got to keep up with Adrian and Christian too. So when I finally got to page 282 and found out about our good boy gone bad I was devastated I felt like Rose did (It’s still Dimitri, but Isn’t) I was starting to think that she should have stayed at school and gotten closer to Adrian. He’s starting to look like a saint compared with Dimitri. Man has Dimitri gone cold I’m not sure what his feelings are for her anymore.
Things got a little scary for Lissa. With Rose being gone we get introduced to a new girl named Avery. This Avery girl was a trip to me. She was also a bad influence. And we find out that she’s a spirit user too.
The suspense towards the end in is amazing. I felt like I was watching a movie. Wow Rose goes through so much. I’m so tired for her, that girl needs some serious rest. By the time she got rescued and went back to school, I was so worn out. I need a break from this series going to read something in between. That aught to tell this is good it got me all emotionally stressed out. LOL!
P.S. At the bottom is just my version of the characters for this book I don’t know if I’m aloud to do this, but It’s just a fun hobby of mine to pick out my characters for the books I read.

He screamed and released Christian, trying frantically to put the flames out. The Strigoi never saw me coming with the stake. The whole thing took under a minute. Christian and I exchanged looks. Yeah. We were Badasses."..... Rose.
This was amazing I had so much fun reading this. Richelle Mead is an entertaining author. Once again I went on a roller coaster ride of emotions. These characters literally come off the page and into your life. I truly felt everything each character was going through. There is enough of everything in this book. True love, jealousy, anger, suspense, mystery, and BIG TIME surprises.
Again there is soo much in this book that was good I can't put it all down, but I will say that I liked how they are all growing up. Lissa and Christian getting some backbone, and fighting for what the believe. Rose getting her head together of what she wants and whats important. And Dimitri. Can I say yum yum, and wow, and omg! I cried again. Yep people it made me cry again.
Well If you've read the first two and enjoyed them your gonna love this one. They get better and better. I'd love to give you details about what this book is about but that is what the description on the back of the books are for and I don't think you'd want to read a 5 page review. he he. :) I just hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Can I just say that this would be a good replacement for the old series Buffy The Vampire Slayer. I can see this as a tv series. It's been a while since we had a good kicking a$$ girl on tv lately. would you agree?

I had a hard time with my rating. I couldn't decide if I wanted to give it a 4✭ or 5✭'s. My reasons for wanting to give it a 5✭ was That, this was a great story full of mystery and excitement and wonder. The story is so complexed but at the same time you do understand whats going on. It's full of many puzzling pieces that you have to figure out and put together. I found myself enjoying it.
I also liked all the characters and we sure do have a lot of them to get to know. You have Roxy and Dagan who were a great team and hot together when they finally met up again. A butt kickin couple rocks! Dagan has three brothers that we kinda get to know, I really liked them and can't wait to hear more about them in the other books to this series.
Reasons for wanting to give it a 4 was because, I have a pet peeve about books being labeled paranormal romance and they turn out to be more of an urban fantasy book. The romance in this story does not come until way more than half of the book, like say pg. 300. Being a sucker for romance I found the book lacking in that area, but when it came it came with a punch and it was well written and well worth the wait...
So it came down to going with 4✭'s (being a romance freak) hey I like that maybe I should change my profile name to that. ;) Any way all in all great story slow on getting the couple to be together but great a storyline over all should have been labeled as an urban fantasy.
Heres my vision of Dagan&Roxy.. I also have a theme song for this book ever had one? (Sweet Dreams)by Beyonce. (less)

We are back four years later and boy what a busy and lonely 4 it’s been for Cat. Soon that is resolved because Bones comes back into her life. I like how everything is not drawn out. It pretty much gets right to it Theres’s no 10 pages of her trying to decide if she wants him or not after a few dates she knows she’s not giving him up to make every body else happy including her messed up mean mother.
Bones.... One serious bad ass. How awesome is he. He reminds me of Zsadist from J.R. Wards Black Dagger Brotherhood with the personality of Rhage. I thought it was so sweet when he called her a master vamp.
This second book to the serious was action packed and full of fun witty banter between all the characters. Oh and the Cat fight!(get it cat fight.. lol) I wasn't bored for a minute I really enjoyed this book and it's a refreshing change to read about a kick ass girl instead of a guy.

Ward Fans. (less)

It didn't stop, the emotion level in this book was high. Cat and Bones went through so much to make their relationship work. We found out a huge surprise from someone from Cats past trying his best to break them up, which I believe he did an excellent job of doing. They were in for the struggle of their lives.
There were a lot of surprises and interesting new characters and some old that I came to love. Like the ghost, Spade, and Vlad. I'm still not sure about Menchres, he comes off as a little to stand offish and gaurded to me. I think Bones and Cats love will stand the test of time. But boy what they put you through when you read this. Their story grips you to keep reading to find out what happens next. They had the worst breakup ever, had me crying and feeling like I lost someone and they had the best makeup ever, made my hear swell with pride over Bones. Cat's so lucky. :)
I have only 4 dislikes(reason for the 4★'s) one was not enough romance that I'd prefer, but is was good enough that I really didn't miss it. The second was I felt like I couldn't get a rest in there was so much moving from place to place no one ever stayed still. I was getting dizzy with all the moves. The third is someone died that I didn't think should have. It took away from someone finally having a happy ending that I think desperately deserves one. And last the Ending I was like "WHAT THE" where was the rest after that big showdown with Bones&Cat's enemy, your gonna leave it that? I thought the ending was weak even if there is another addition to this series.
Over all it was a great exciting action/drama packed read and I will be looking forward to reading all her books now! Jeanine frost is officially going on my fav author list.... Thank you Jeanine for your wonderful adventures books.

Because this was one of those books that people will have mixed feelings for. One of those 'I like but don't love it'... I thought this was a very interesting story. I'm really liking the fallen angel genera just wish I could find me one that's a awesome love story... I'm so tired of vampires but then again these fallen angels had fangs just like vamps ooooh save me from the same ol folk lore lets just come up with something from no where and see where it goes... LOL? This book like I said interesting and strange the povs was nice at times other times I just felt like they were just thinking to darn much... I liked Raziel he just keept fighting what he wanted to darn long... Allie had to warm up to me but I ended up like her the most out of the everybody her sense of humor kept the story going for me...
Thing I didn't get is, she dies right?... no spoiler it says that in the back of the book description... Anyway he saves her from hell and takes her to his lair and of course they get together and all that but he kept saying that she would eventually get old and die...ok got me confused there I thought she was dead and was now with the fallen so wouldn't that make her immortal too?....Well I read the preview of the next book after this and I will say I am definitely curious about this series and will not give up on it and read the next one... I hope I didn't put you off this I say give it a try. I was glad that I did.. You never know you might fine something wonderful... :) oh I found this part hilarious...."He was exquisitely beautiful, even more so without clothes. I'd always found naked men to be sort of silly, with their drooping parts bouncing as they walked."*Allie* Thad part had me busting up laughing drooping parts... ;)
