Each chapter is one week's study and includes personal reflection questions, a journal entry prompt and group discussion questions at the end of each chapter.
Each chapter is centered around one female character from the Bible. Mrs. Silvious tells the story of these women and relates their stories , struggles and triumphs into today's terms. Using anecdotes from the lives of real modern-day women to compare and contrast the plight of these ancient-day women to. It is so interesting to see how many of the same trials we deal with in the modern day are the same ones that women have been struggling with throughout the ages.
I find learning about ancient people's, especially strong female's, everyday life fascinating. To be reminded that times, places and circumstances may change, but the basic day-to-day minutiae of our lives are very similar. At the very core of their beings they were looking for the very same things we are looking for nowadays: love, acceptance, sustenance, comfort (in one form or another) and companionship. And how their lives were changed dramatically - many times just by a slight shift in the way they thought about, or handled the situations they faced.
This is still very true today -- so many times we get caught up in these insurmountable-seeming circumstances that we can't see our way clear to change them. But if we take a step back and a deep breath, and turn our focus even slightly (especially if we turn it toward God), it could make all the difference in the final outcome.
This is a big, meaty 10-week Bible study, it contains 10 chapters (1 for each week), an introduction, a conclusion and a few notes at the end, all wrapped in a hefty package of 254 pages. This is not a study for the faint-hearted. If you truly want to change the story of your life, this study will certainly give you great examples of how others have faced obstacles and overcame them. But it also contains advice on just how you too can do the same in your own life. This study has peaked my interest in learning more about the lives of these fascinating, courageous women.

Ms. Hammond gives examples of her struggles with weight issues, diets and programs. She details what has worked for her and then puts the pieces together to form a real world plan to help you lose weight.
Focusing on the underlying issues that many of us experience: poor self-image, negative self-talk and low self-esteem and taking inspiration from the Bible. This book helped me view my own weight issues in a new and different way. Instead of wallowing in self-pity and doubt, feeling like a failure, this book has lit a fire in me, making me want to lose the extra weight I carry around and keep it off. I am excited to begin my weight loss journey with a new mindset, for the last time. I can see myself incorporating many of the tips provided and making a lasting change in my life
I love that she explains so many of the diet's, programs and weight loss systems that she has tried. I truly believe that just like people are individuals, no "cookie cutter" plan will work for every body. Having the general overview of so many programs allows me to pick and choose the best from several programs and incorporate them into my own personalized plan. The one that will definitely work for me. This gives me the hope that's been missing in my weight loss struggles.

Spend 31 days exploring a richer, deeper experience of God's love through this month-long devitional. Each day Mrs. Myers speaks of God's unconditional love and it's many facets. With reference to scripture which reinforces the teaching, each devotion aims to reassure us of God's love for each of us, in all our uniqueness. Each day's teaching includes a prayer and a list of scripture's to help you dig deeper into the devotional teaching of that day.
As I read through each days devotion, I found it quite easy to apply many of the teachings into my life and experiences. The prayers were a nice guide and often were the springboard for a more personal and intimate conversation with God. I found the list of scriptures that Mrs. Myers provided for each day, a great way to solidify and clarify what I got from the daily devotional. Toward the end of the month-long devotions, the teachings really began to grow in my heart.
I found that each days devotion worked on and built in my heart a deeper, stronger understanding of just how God made me the way He meant to make me. He caused everything to happen in my life for a reason and a purpose. It taught me that I don't have to do anything to "earn" God's love, he has loved me from the beginning of time and nothing I do will ever change that. I will definiteely come back to this month-long devotional, probably more than once, just to be reminded of His all-encompassing love.

I lack focus, direction and many times I miss the subtleties of the scriptures I am studying. That's where a devotional such as this one plays a vital role in my walk with the Lord.
Reading Mr. Graham's interpretation and application of scripture has allowed me to focus on what is truly being said in the Bible. Many times slowing down and concentrating on 1 or 2 verses will help me to understand on a much deeper level exactly what God is saying. And I am positive it will do the same for anyone else searching for an intimate relationship with the Lord.

Chazown, pronounced (khaw-Zone) is a Hebrew word meaning dream, revelation or vision. Chazown by Craig Groeschel is a self-development book with a Christian perspective. Based on the premise that God has made each of us with a unique purpose in mind. In order to fulfill our God-given purpose we must first discover it. Once found and pursued it will bring 4 gifts into our lives: focus, endurance, peace and passion. But how do you find it?
Pastor Groeschel aims to walk you step by step through the process of discovering your Chazown with this book. Through examination of 3 key areas in your life, your core values, your spiritual gifts and your past experiences you will begin to find your Chazown. It generally lives at the intersection of these three areas. Next, you will examine 5 fundamental areas of your life, your relationship with God, your relationship with others, your financial life, your physical life and your work life to determine how balanced they are. He then walks you through the process of naming your vision and putting it into action.
